Psychic Overlord-Chapter 139: Tousou (The Battle) 3
Chapter 139: Tousou (The Battle) 3
Looking over, the person who was wailing just now was stunned because Kaizer had somehow appeared right beside Sophia, who was still in the posture of crushing the void. The girl herself was shocked to see Kaizer traverse the void so silently it was like he was a being borne of it, not a foreign entity.
"You did well, Sophia. I would have suffered under your full force attack before, but your father taught me all there is to know about space." Kaizer explained as he reached a hand out to touch the nape of Sophia’s neck.
With a surge of telepathic force, he commanded her brain to shut down and enter sleep, causing Sophia to faint without the slightest resistance.
The arena fell into a stunned silence.
Sophia Rochester- the Dean’s daughter, the A-Class Void Walker, known for her flawless tactical execution and spatial dominance - had just been defeated in under ten seconds.
It was silent, clean and without injury to both sides.
Heck, Kaizer hadn’t even broken a sweat!
In the Supreme Force Observation Box, the air was thick with disbelief.
Commander Rae’s mouth hung open. "She didn’t even flinch. One touch and she was out."
Commander Durand stared at the stage, lips dry. "Was that telepathy? Or divine might?"
Even the usually stoic President Ethan Voss leaned forward ever so slightly, his fingers no longer drumming.
But it was Blaze who spoke, voice now heavy with something new... respect.
"...He actually walked into subspace, voluntarily."
He turned his head toward Rae. "That wasn’t void resistance, but most likely was spacetime adaptation. Knowing Lysandra, she must’ve thrown him in and locked the door."
Rae’s eyes bulged. "You knew?"
"I suspected, but I didn’t expect this level of finesse." Blaze looked toward the stands.
He finally cracked a smile. "Well then... one match down and six to go."
In the Heir Pavilion, Davion Plastine’s cane dropped, hitting the marble floor with a deafening clack, ignored by all except Eleanor, who remained still as a statue beside him.
"Impossible..." Davion whispered, a hint of fear in his tone.
His throat was dry. "He walked through the void like he belonged there. That’s not psychic power! That’s... that’s cheating!"
Ryu Kurosawa was already scrolling through datasets. "He didn’t resist the void, he likely flowed with it. Like it was part of his field."
Alexei Vólkov was clenching his jaw. "That wasn’t a counter, that was mastery."
Rafael Azmadi, ever unbothered, raised his glass. "Well damn. That’s one bet I’m happy to lose."
Davion’s face twisted as he turned to his ’friends’ with wild eyes. "I told you he is a pawn!"
"You also told us he couldn’t touch you," Ryu said flatly, not giving him any face.
Davion’s knuckles whitened around his cane. "That was Sophia’s fault! She... she hesitated! She let her guard down! Trash!!!"
"No, she didn’t. He just surpassed her." Alexei folded his arms.
The room fell quiet.
Then Ryu adjusted his glasses and muttered.
"Hey, they are changing the odds."
The digital sky glitched once, then realigned as a massive recalibration of bets occurred since the algorithm restructured every probability tree.

Sophia Upsets Kaizer (Match 1) — [BETTING CLOSED — RESULT: KAIZER WINS]
Kaizer Becomes Crowned Sovereign — 1:150 →1:5
Pandemonium erupted immediately, starting with a guy in Row 43 who fainted from joy after betting 200 dollars on Kaizer to win Match 1 ’with no visible damage taken’.
A girl screamed "THAT’S MY HUSBAND!" about Kaizer in a fan-girl like manner before almost being trampled to death by thirty others trying to bet on the next round.
Another poor soul knelt on the ground weeping as his "safety bet" on Sophia going 10 rounds had just obliterated his savings account.
The telepath who’d short-circuited earlier regained consciousness just long enough to shout "THE VOID KNEELS TO THE OVERLORD!" before passing out again., causing those who lost near him to beat up his unconscious body.
Kaizer stood upright, brushing a faint spark of void dust from his shoulder.
Sophia lay gently collapsed, her breathing steady, a smile still playing on her lips as Kaizer prompted her brain to give her a good dream.
Medics ran forward but he raised a hand, signaling it was unnecessary.
He knelt beside her, whispering softly.
"Thank you, Sophia. You reminded me I’m not walking alone."
He then used telekinesis to send Sophia upwards to the Dean, who gently received his daughter in his lap with a loving smile, pride on his face despite her loss.
Kaizer then stood, the crown display shimmering in the distance.
His eyes rose as he knew that only one was down and there were six more to go.
Meanwhile, The air was still vibrating from the fallout of Kaizer’s first victory which was too fast, too clean, too supernatural.
But there was no time to breathe as a sudden BOOM erupted across the arena, and not from the speakers, but the earth itself.
Chunks of stone cracked and levitated, as a feral roar surged from the far gates.
Then—
"RRAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
The wall didn’t open, it literally exploded!
From behind it leapt a muscle-bound blur, landing with such force that the platform beneath his feet cratered, forming spiderwebs of shattered stone as the entire stadium actually shook.
A gust of pressure tore across the spectators, knocking many from their seats and causing devices to fly around.
Tyrron Buld, known as Ragnar, was here.
He was shirtless now, jacket cast aside. His thick torso gleamed with sweat and scars, body carved like a living war machine. Green lightning danced across his shoulders, crackling, popping, screaming against the air like it wanted to kill something.
His Earth Lightning surged in waves, being a chaotic, molten-green storm that warped the very gravity around him.
Lysandra’s voice trembled, not from fear, but excitement.
"Match Two, Overlord vs. Ragnar!"
"LET’S GOOOOOO!!" Tyrron roared, teeth bared like a beast who had finally found prey worth devouring.
Meanwhile, Kaizer slowly turned from the stands where Sophia was and glanced at his foe, his expression not changing at all.
He raised his hand towards Ragnar and blue sparks began to crawl up his arm, then his other hand followed suit as it exploded with psychic power.
ZZZZHHHHHHMMM!
The arena lights dimmed as Kazier’s psychic lightning bloomed. This wasn’t normal electricity, it was will made visible, essentially pure psychic force converted into the volatile elemental state of lightning.
A brilliant azure aura licked across his form like a corona, creating a stark contrast to Tyrron’s brutal green bolts.
Where Tyrron’s energy shook the earth, Kaizer’s literally bent reality.
The two stood across from each other, one grounded like a mountain, the other poised like a storm.
The crowd couldn’t contain it.
"YESSS!! THIS IS THE FIGHT!!"
"KAKAROT VS. BROLY, BABYYYYY!!"
"THERE’S NO WAY THIS STAGE SURVIVES!" freёnovelkiss.com
The betting boards were surging again, numbers shifting by the second as esper analysts worldwide began recalculating survival probabilities for the arena staff.
Back in the Supreme Force Observation Box Commander Rae was on her feet.
"Oh, now I’m definitely awake."
Durand was whistling. "We should’ve reinforced the arena with military-grade fields."
Blaze, still calm, cracked his neck once. "This is it, Kaizer’s real test. Tyrron doesn’t stop until his opponent is unconscious or dead."
President Voss’s gaze narrowed. "It will show us... how much pressure the crown can withstand."
Also in the Heir Pavilion Davion stood at the window, lips thin.
"He doesn’t stand a chance against Tyrron’s rage scaling. That brute gets stronger every second." He said with hatred.
Ryu didn’t respond, just tapping once on his pad. "Bet updated. Match 2. Outcome: Stalemate threshold likely at 38 seconds."
Rafael grinned. "Nah. One of them’s going airborne by 20."
Alexei leaned in. "I want to see how Kaizer handles being on the defensive."
Back on the stage, Tyrron cracked his neck, green lightning coiling violently around his arms like living snakes.
His pupils had narrowed slightly, his body trembling with excitement as he finally had a good opponent to test himself against.
Kaizer’s psychic lightning now extended behind him like wings, each arc flickering with violent blue force. The air around him pulsed, not with pressure, but with focus.
For a long moment... neither moved as they focused their powers, their electricity becoming more plentiful and more violent.
Then—
BOOM!!
Tyrron charged like a missile, fists glowing bright green, teeth clenched in absolute primordial fury.
Kaizer took a step and vanished.
There was no build-up nor any posturing, just an instant teleport-like motion charged by blue lightning that exploded behind him as he reappeared mid-air, hand pulled back with psychic force condensing into his fist.
Their punches met—
KRAKOOM!!!
A shockwave blasted across the arena, obliterating the protective field and sending fragments of the platform flying into the upper shield dome.
Spectators screamed in a mixture of fear and exhilaration.
Wind and lightning wove together in opposite colors like a DNA helix as two titans met at full speed, one primal and wild while the other was surgical and controlled.
Green met blue.
Mind met muscle.
And the true battle began.
