Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 221: Leaving For The Capital, and ???
Chapter 221: Leaving For The Capital, and ???
“This is just one of the many applications of magic. Heck, you can even replace the Mana Stone in the lamp and make it last for weeks, months, maybe even years,” Rael said, narrowing his eyes. “And if you set up the right mechanism to funnel mana from the air and insert it into the little devices, you’d never need to manually maintain them.”
He cleared his throat and continued. “There are so many ways to use raw magic, but then again… we, back in Celestara, don’t exactly have the people who have a knack for this stuff. You, on the other hand, do.”
“You say that… but this seems complicated,” Oriana remarked, inspecting the lamp in great detail, a frown forming on her face. “Or maybe not…?”
“Sister, while I get you might see this as a potential boon, think about the others,” Luna chimed in. “We are talented, sure, but do you think we’ll be able to make these contraptions he’s talking about soon? It’ll take us years to become self-sufficient.”
“I agree.” Sophie nodded. “I don’t care too much about what happens. I can always change my electric furnaces to something powered by coal… or magic. But in the end, the others aren’t going to have as easy a transition as we will.”
The triplets chatted amongst each other, arguing the same point over and over again.
He knew this would take a while, but drastic change was never instant. It took time, and time was what Aztera would have once Celestara came into power.
Linlin’s group, Radiant Dawn, had someone who could deal with the Evangelists, so if Rael were to replace their leadership, that would be another country under their belt.
The others are simple to take over too… on paper, anyways, Rael mused.
He stood up, dusted himself off, nodded at each of the triplets, and turned around.
“I’m going to go finish this war now. Once I’m done, I hope we’ll be on a more common ground.”
With those words, he was prepared to leave, when all of a sudden…
Hm? He slightly turned his head toward her.
Yet she ignored his gaze, almost as if she sent this friend request without telling her sisters.
He chuckled and silently accepted her friend request.
“But we’re not done talking yet!” Sophie called out. “Don’t you have more to show us? You know… convince us or something?”
Rael sighed. “You’re not toddlers. Take apart the mana stone and make something yourselves. You want a hair dryer? Make it. You want a mana stone-powered carriage? Make it.”
It was as simple as that. He wouldn’t baby them like he did with the barbarians.
After all, these people were much smarter than he gave them credit for.
“I understand…” Oriana nodded slowly. “We’ll do as you say then… um… good luck with the war?”
“Heh, I feel like he’s the type of guy to say he doesn’t need luck,” Luna snickered.
“…”
Yeah, I’ll just get out now.
He waved at the three of them and began walking away. But not before issuing an order to his constructs.
Protect the three busty elves. They’re going to be making some stuff out of mana stones, so just make sure some idiot doesn’t wander into their workshop.
He immediately saw a big chunk of his constructs halt, then run to where the triplets were.
And with that, he was off.
This time, leaving was much simpler than entering. After all, the way he came through now had a giant archway. It was almost like a portal, as he found it difficult to see through to the other side.
Rael strode toward it, and without hesitation, stepped through.
His vision turned hollow for a moment as all color drained. Then, not even a moment later, it came back.
And with it, he was now outside of the Sunken Temple, right where he had first entered.
He could still see his constructs battling the soldiers, but by now, the battle was pretty much over.
As for his constructs?

He had plenty left.
All those who remain, stand guard around the Sunken Temple. Don’t let the Azterians march inside.
And now that he was finally done with the initial prep, it was time he moved on to the real stuff.
The city of Aurenveil was on his side. The Sunken Temple was neutral. And the capital, Veltharin? That was the only one left standing.
Therefore, Rael simply glanced north and began jogging toward Veltharin.

[??? POV]
Two masked figures stood beside each other, looking at a certain spectacle unfold through a crystal ball.
Their statures were nearly identical, but the masks weren’t.
One had the mask of a fox, and the other, a wolf.
They didn’t say a word to one another, but with each passing moment, the intensity in the pitch-black room grew.
And of course, it was all thanks to the person below who was absentmindedly jogging through the desert, unaware of the damage he had caused.
The figure in the fox mask put their hand over the crystal ball and changed the scenery. Now, instead of displaying the platinum-haired menace, it showed the entire continent of Dralgur as a whole.
There were six red dots on the map, and the brightest dot belonged to the platinum-haired man jogging through the desert.
Then there was one red dot in the Demonic Lands, one in Yrgon, and surprisingly, three in the Holy Kingdom.
But despite all that, the fact that the balance of the seven powers was broken by the platinum-haired man remained.
The wolf-masked figure let out a sigh.
“What should we do? We can’t keep letting him get away with this. He’s already killed the prince and absorbed his power. If he absorbs any more, he’ll manifest the 20th perfect skill in all of history.”
The voice was distorted, and its gender remained unknown.
The fox-masked figure flinched, their grip tightening on the crystal ball, until it suddenly shattered.
A dreary silence ensued, but it only lasted for a moment as the figure wearing the fox mask finally took it off, revealing a distorted feminine face and a single visible lock of golden hair.
She tossed the mask to the ground and turned her back to the other figure, making her intentions clear.
“I’ll inform the higher-ups.” The wolf mask performed a curt bow and suddenly vanished, leaving the woman all alone in the pitch-black space.
She stretched as a faint, sorrowful smile appeared on her twisted face.
“Seventeen years… I never thought I’d have to go back…”
