Re: Strongest Necromancer with the Extraction Talent-Chapter 49: The Undead Fire Lion Becomes 3rd Echelon Rank!
Chapter 49: The Undead Fire Lion Becomes 3rd Echelon Rank!
When Kai saw the tiger cub just casually make the small spatial crack right beside his face, he opened his eyes widely in shock.
’So fucking strong?’ Kai was really stunned because he couldn’t even do it in his previous life.
Well, he wasn’t that ’strong’ to begin with, but he could be said to be invincible of the same rank. Not only that, but he may also be considered invincible among those of a higher level.
...
Looking at the blood hovering in the air above his palm, Kai asked the tiger. "Blood essence? Where do you get this? Do you have more? Just give me a few dozen more—"
"Jeez, you talk too much." The tiger felt annoyed and slapped the back of Kai’s head.
Bam!
A crisp and cracking sound was made out of the slapping sound.
"Fuck, can you not hit my head? I will become stupid sooner or later if you always hit my head." Kai cursed as he healed his cracked head casually.
He then instructed the fire lion to stop before ordering it to refine the blood essence.
Looking at the lion’s aura fluctuating wildly, Kai shrugged his shoulders, waking up the tiger, and asked. "Everything is going to be okay, right?"
"How would I know? If it couldn’t handle and refine it, at most it would blow itself up." The tiger rolled its eyes, answering the obvious answer.
"What percentage does the lion have?" Kai asked.
"Should be around 50%." The tiger replied plainly.
"..."
’This little shit.’ Kai was speechless as he thought to himself. ’Why didn’t you say that the risk was as high as 50%?’
Kai understood that there was definitely going to be some risk, but when he looked at the tiger’s strength, he instantly believed that it must have calculated everything and there shouldn’t be a problem with it.
If he were to know that the risk was that high, he would’ve at least killed another Peak 2nd Echelon Rank Beast so that he wouldn’t lose too much in case the lion would blow itself up.
A few minutes later...
The fire lion’s aura instantly calmed the moment it opened its eyes. Not only that, Kai noticed that the lion’s body became bigger at a fast speed before it stopped when it had reached 3.6 meters long and 2.9 meters tall, with a shoulder height of about 2.2 meters. The undead fire lion also had a flame mark on its forehead.
At the same time, Kai also heard a notification from the system that surprised him.
[Ding! The undead fire lion has successfully refined the blood essence, advancing its bloodline further, and instantly raised its rank to the 3rd Echelon Rank Beast.]
When Kai checked the notification, he was surprised, as he had never expected that the effect was this good.
He then realized something and immediately coughed before looking at the tiger cub on his shoulder with a wide smile.
Cough!
"Senior tiger—I mean senior cat, do you have more blood essence? Look at this fragile, pathetic, uncharismatic lion. Why don’t you help this pitiful lion to become at least strong enough to be your little brother?"
The tiger only rolled his eyes at Kai’s words, then replied to Kai before he continued bothering him further. "No, it’s too much work. I’m already tired and need to sleep after all of that. So, don’t bother me, or I’ll poke you to death!"
Sigh!
"Alright then... But senior, may I at least know your name?" Kai sighed and asked with a bitter smile, thinking that he couldn’t get more benefits from it.
The tiger opened one of his eyes and replied. "Cang Hu... Mao. They called me Cang Humao."
Kai nodded his head and said, "Have a good rest, Senior Cang."
The tiger ignored him as he stretched his body across Kai’s shoulders and slept again with the upper body on Kai’s left shoulder and the lower body on Kai’s right shoulder.
Kai secretly became happy inside since he had just received a huge benefit just like that. He originally thought that his life would become difficult when a mysterious tiger suddenly followed him, but he never expected that things would turn out the opposite way.
The tiger’s weight was heavy as fuck to the point of reducing his speed by around 50%?
Who cares!
Slapping his head once in a while?
Kai doesn’t care!
As long as he received enough benefits, he actually didn’t mind any of that.
At most, he would take revenge on them in the future when he was strong enough since Kai always remembered them all in his deepest heart.
Subsequently, Kai called the lion, and they continued their journey to the East while Kai wanted to sort out his gain fully this time.
First thing first, he checked at the lion’s stats.
[Fire Lion]
[Level]: 75 (87%)
[Race]: Fire Lion
[Bloodline]: Infernal Sovereign Bloodline
[Rank]: 3rd Echelon Rank Beast
[Stats]: Strength: 4395 / Agility: 4163 / Physique: 4270 / Sense: 3464 / Mana: 3350 / Magic: 3310
...
Kai was pleased when he looked at the lion’s huge improvement. Without waiting for long, he asked the system to bind the lions to the Undead Space since he couldn’t wait to check the other things.
[Ding! Does the host want to bind the Fire Lion to Undead Space?]
"Yes!"
After waiting for a few seconds and nothing happened, Kai checked his new skills.
— — —
[Damage Transfer (???) : All damage suffered by the user is borne by the undead subordinates.]
[Bone Spikes (1st Echelon – Level 9) : Summon sharp spikes of bone from the user’s body or out of thin air, impaling enemies in range. The spikes are infused with necrotic energy, capable of slowing movement due to lingering bone fragments.]

Kai opened his eyes wide in shock.
’What the fuck?!’
He rubbed his eyes for a while before focusing himself and looked at the [Damage Transfer] skill’s description once again, as he didn’t believe what he had seen just now.
’Fuck, am I going to be immortal?’ Kai suddenly laughed out loud before getting a slap on his head from the tiger for disturbing his peaceful sleep.
"Immortal, my ass. If someone were much stronger than you, they could still pinch you to death in one move." The tiger snorted disdainfully.
"Tch! You’re just ruining my good mood." Kai clicked his tongue in annoyance and cursed the tiger in his heart. ’Of course I know that simple fact, you little shit.’
Bam!
"Stop having a thought about me, it’s annoying." The tiger slapped his head hard this time.
’Alright, you’re stronger than me, so you won.’ Kai gritted his teeth and rolled his eyes.
Kai continued checking his inventory since his hands were itching to crush some orbs and take his time slowly to choose his rewards.
There were 5 items in his inventory, but only 4 of them were useful for him at the moment: they were the Yellow Scroll, Cyan Orb, Blue Orb, and Green Orb.
However, Kai didn’t want to use them all for himself, as he had a plan in mind.
The only thing that intrigued Kai was the Cyan Orb, because he could get an Elite-Grade Sword from it.
As for the Blue and Green Orbs, Kai intended to get a rare-grade weapon for his first undead goblin since he had neglected it quite a bit, while he would give the Green Orb to his cousin, Luca.
