Lucian looked up. Through the settling dust and lingering firestorm, Kyra stood in the center of the newly formed, glassy crater.

Her armor was cracked in places, tendrils of smoke rising from her hair and shoulders. A thin trickle of dark blood ran from the corner of her lip. She had actually been injured too!

While it didn't seem like a grave injury, the blood on her lips made Lucian sigh in relief, she wasn't invulnerable after all.

The demoness eyes locked in on him. Her eyes was narrowed, no longer containing the expression of being amused.

The predatory in her gaze intensified. "You... survived?"

There was a hint of disbelief in her tone. Then her lips peeled back in a malevolent snarl, revealing elongated fangs.

"And you managed to hurt me."

Lucian stood straight up like a rode, Dragon Soul Devourer materializing back in his newly formed hand. He felt the familiar drain from the Amulet's activation.

His mana, already depleted, was now critically low, maybe 15% remaining.

Leviathan and the other shadows were reforming nearby.

Lucian's gaze hardened and he didn't mind her words as he suddenly moved.

Crimson mist exploded as he activated Crimson Shadow Step to its limit. The wind exploded and the ground shattered.

Kyra roared angrily and met his charge, her greatsword transformed into a blur as she slashed horizontally with astonishing speed.

However, compared to what she thought, Lucian suddenly withdrew his spear, it was actually a feint attack!

"SLASH!!!"

Lucian felt the blade slash through his waist. sparks flew out as his physique tried to hold, however the strike was simply too powerful as it sliced through his waist like it was made of paper.

Blood, intestine, shattered bones and organic fluids flew into the air like a splash of painting in this horrific world.

Pain ripped through Lucian as though thunder striking through him. Lucian's widened as he temporary ignited the pain.

In that instant Kyra had struck, leaving a fractional opening near her shoulder where her armor was damaged from the explosion.

With a painful

roar, Lucian ignored his near-fatal wound, twisted his body in midair, and struck his Dragon Soul Devourer forward with every ounce of strength.

"Sovereign Devastation!"

A massive dragon's roar poerced through space as the spear transformed into a dragon and stabbed through cracked obsidian, through demonic flesh and bone, lodging deep within Kyra's shoulder and torso.

"AHHHHHHH!"

Kyra screamed, a sound of pure agony and fury, dropping her greatsword as she instinctively clutched at the spear impaling her. Dark, steaming blood poured from the wound.

But even as he struck, the residual force of her swing sent his nearly-severed lower body tumbling away, while his upper body, remained impaled alongside his spear on the enraged demoness.

He was literally ripped in two, healing furiously even as he separated.

Kyra ripped the spear out, throwing Lucian's rapidly healing upper torso aside. Her golden eyes blazed with incandescent fury. The air around her crackled, growing exponentially heavier.

"YOU...! INSECT!" she shrieked, her voice distorting. A colossal wave of pure demonic energy exploded outwards from her body.

"BOOOOM!"

The ground cracked like it was made of glass. Magma erupted from the ground like geysers. The blood-red sky churned violently.

Kyra's wounds healed shut at an accelerated rate. Her aura became immensely more powerful, suffocating. She radiated pure, murderous intent.

Lucian's torso landed near his legs, and the two halves instantly began reattaching, from the injuries, tendrils expanded and started to intertwine like the threads of a cloth.

His face pale as he watched her transformation, his mind racing.

Kyra didn't give him time to fully recover. She blurred, appearing directly above his reforming body, claws extended, infused with shadow and fire. 〔Shadow Pounce!〕

Before his body was even fully whole, her claws raked across his chest, ripping through armor and flesh, leaving deep, burning, shadowy gouges that resisted regeneration slightly.

He was sent flying like a kite. He barely reformed before she was on him again, a relentless flurry of claws and burning strikes. He tried to block, tried to dodge, but she was too fast now. Her enhanced speed was overwhelming.

"SLASH!"

"CRUNCH!"

"BAM!"

He felt bones break, organs rupturing.

Each hit sent him flying.

He regenerated, only to be hit again.

His vision blurred.

His legendary armor was taking visible damage, although reducing the damage, he was still barely healing.

He activated Sovereign's Devastation again, but with her overwhelming strength , she contemptuously slapped the dragon phantom aside with a burst of demonic flaming

energy before it could fully form and continued with her strike.

At this moment, Lucian's legs had finally fully healed as he tried to withdraw from her strikes using crimson shadow consistently.

Levi roared, charging , shield first, drawing her attention. Baltzer, limping but healed in an instant, harassed her flank with bursts of fire from his sword. The Elite Titans threw themselves into the fray, sacrificing themselves for their masters to buy time.

Kyra was incredibly furious, she swatted them aside like flies but followed Levi's slow retreat towards the massive magma-filled fissure Lucian indicated. She wanted to tear the Titan apart before finishing Lucian.

"NOW!" Lucian screamed the mental command as Kyra prepared a devastating strike against Levi.

Instantly, Levi dropped his shield and axe and suddenly pushed forward with his entire strength, grappling her, massive Titan arms wrapping around her torso. Simultaneously, Baltzer, the three Elite Titans and the other blood shadows surged forward, ignoring her Sebastian's strikes, and piled onto her like trust falls, clinging with their entire strength.

Kyra struggled, roaring, her claws tearing chunks out of the Blood Shadows, but their combined mass and Undying Servitude held her fast for a crucial second.

Their bodies began to glow, an ominous crimson light building from within. Leviathan, Baltzer, the three Elites – all focused on a single point.

"DETONATE!" Lucian roared, pouring the last dregs of his mana into the command.
