Maria saw the entity sitting over the tree and immediately noticed the dead body of the instructor!

The instructor was supposed to be a very strong Dream Warrior himself, capable of at least handling the Nightmare Beasts on this island.

Yet that thing, that child-like Nightmare Demon was able to not only kill him easily, but leave him standing there, in shock after death.

The attack he did must have been so fast that the instructor didn't even see it!

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

Maria panicked, as she saw the Nightmare Demon giggling, extending his hands towards Nyx who was glaring at him with surprise.

"Hehehe, come play with me, little kid!"

The Nightmare Demon's Aura encompassed Nyx entirely, as he tried to overwhelm her with the pressure of his powers and then devour her!

"No, I don't want to play with you!"

"Huh? It doesn't matter if you don't want, I'm going to eat you, little bitch come here- ACK?!"

CRASH!

However, out of nowhere, Nyx punched the Nightmare Demon's face, breaking his nose and sending him flying into the ground!

BAAAM!

"U-Ugh…?! W-What…? What?!"

He was shocked, he couldn't believe it. He was actually punched in the face, and the strength was enough to break his nose and made him feel a bit dizzy.

It was surprising for Maria and Nyx though; he was tough enough to take an enraged punch from Nyx.

Usually, someone that takes such a hit would explode into pieces.

This meant that, although he acted a bit shocked…

He was tough.

"You punched me…! Why did you punch me?!" the kid demon complained. "It's not fair! It's not fair, you're a terrible kid!"

Maria analyzed his appearance as she reached Nyx, her friends staying behind. The boy was indeed a Nightmare Demon and looked similar to Beatriz's true form.

His skin was pale blue, he had crimson eyes, with black horns coming from his forehead, he had short purple hair, and long black nails, with a pointy tail, and bat-like, red wings.

He wore purple, black, and red clothes, like those a kid of the Victorian era would wear, rather antique-looking, with an overall of black color, shorts, white socks and black shoes, and a black jacket too.

His tongue was weirdly long, and purple colored, moving around as he talked…

But that wasn't the important part anyways, but his Aura!

His Nightmare Aura was immense…

Maria immediately could tell he wasn't like the other Nightmare Demons, but a much stronger form, a "leader" of sorts.

"Hmph! Why should I care what you think?!" Nyx said angrily. "You're an evil Nightmare Demon that killed mister instructor, who was a nice person! You're not someone I would ever play with!"

"Tch… Don't get cocky, shitty brat!" the Nightmare Demon screamed angrily. "I'm going to get ya just because of that!"

He rushed towards Nyx and everyone else, waving his wings and moving through space at almost lightning speed, reaching Nyx instantly.

"DIE!"

He swung his claws down, unleashing gigantic masses of black, purple, and red nightmare energy capable of tearing to shreds both the body and soul of his foes.

CRAAASH!

"Ngh?!"

However, his crimson eyes widened, as he realized Nyx stopped him with her huge black axe, her entire Aura surging, mixing Dream Essence with her own unique Divine Ember's Aura.

"She blocked my direct attack so easily?!"

The demon gritted his teeth, about to attack again with his other claw, only for Maria to appear by his side, her sword swinging down.

SLAAASH!

"Agh?!"

And slicing his arm off!

"GET AWAY FROM ME!"

TRUUUM!

With an angered scream, the demon unleashed a powerful shockwave, sending Maria and Nyx flying away due to its intensity.

"Maybe I should kill the weaklings first!"

He leaped directly towards Sofia and the rest of the group instead, his arm rapidly regenerating out of black smoke coming from the wound.

"We aren't weaklings, fucker!"

Emily encompassed herself on her thunderous armor, clashing against him with all her body charging against him!

CRAAASH!

"Hah! Weak!"

However, the demon laughed, as he felt Emily's push as nothing but a small ant trying to lift a stone.

"Die!"

He pushed his legs forward, crushing Emily into the ground with immense force, generating a shockwave due to the force used.

RUMBLE!

Crack, crack…!

CRASH!

Her armor instantly gained several cracks, as the girl felt her ribs break.

"Uuggh…!"

She vomited blood, feeling her ribs pierce her lungs, filling them with blood coming out of her throat.

Yet…

She smiled.

"You gave me quite the… charge… fucker."

"Hm? You're not dead yet?"

Zap, zap…!

What was left of her armor concentrated on her hands, as she unleashed it all out into a single blow.

"{Thunderous Dragon Fist}!"

"ROOOOAAARRR!"

An explosion of lightning erupted from her punch, reaching the Nightmare Demon and blowing him away with a massive electrifying force!

CRAAASH!

"W-What is this? Urrghh…! It burns, dammit!"

The Nightmare Demon was being constantly burned as a giant dragon-shaped thunder attack engulfed him whole, using its sharp teeth to dig through his flesh.

Until it exploded!

BOOOMMM!!!

The explosion of thunder could be seen all over the skies, everyone saw it in surprise, even students participating in the test on different islands.

"Emily!"

Alma ran to help her out, covering her with Healing Water, her wounds however, were too deep inside her lungs, they wouldn't heal so quickly.

"I'll heal her," Maria said.

FLASH!

With a wave of golden light, Maria infused Healing Yang Ki Energies into her body, and then used her Biomancer Skills to realign her bones and heal her lung.

"A-Aaagh…! Ugh…!"

"She still got blood inside of her lungs." Said Maria. "Let me see.. there."

"Guaack!"

Emily vomited the blood as Maria pulled it out using a Blood Manipulation Spell, from the Skills she had gotten from Partner when they fused for the first time.

"Better?"

"Y-Yeah, thanks. Though my mouth tastes like fucking blood now."

"Sorry, can't heal that."

"I can!"

Alma quickly gave Emily some water to refresh her mouth.

The Nightmare Demon though?

It was already rushing from the skies.

Half his body was burned, but it was slowly regenerating, though he lost an eye and an arm, and they were taking their time.

"Alright, he's coming!" Maria said. "Nyx, stay with me, we'll confront him together. The rest, stay behind and find the opportunity to strike hard! Understood?"

"Yeah!"
