It only took ChatJK4 a couple of seconds before it spat out an appropriate spell perfectly accustomed to Michael's wishes.

[Wall of Rebirth]

— ★★★★★

— Unity element

— This spell allows the user to create a physical barrier that will prevent any trespassers from entering or leaving. Any attempt to do so will result in them being burned with the power of the Unity flames.

This was perhaps one of the more stronger spells that Michael received from ChatJK4. With how it was described, he was even surprised that it was only rated as a 5-star spell.

If he read it right, then that meant that he could create a similar barrier within an enclosed space. But instead of it creating a wall of flames made out of Fire mana, this wall would be made out of Unity mana, which was much more deadly and cannot be extinguished by any normal means.

Wow, ChatJK4. You've really outdone yourself.

[The reason that this spell is only rated as a 5-star spell is because it is not very practical on other people. The mana requirement to simply create a 1 cubic meter volume of space would be tremendously large, which is probably something only a 7-star wizard could do. Keeping the spell active for a long time is practically impossible.]

Michael now finally understood why it was so lowly rated. Practically nobody could use it.

Of course, except for Michael.

Good thing that my mana capacity is literally infinite. My limit is the limit of the entire world.

As long as Michael was in the presence of mana, he could absorb them all for himself and use it as fuel to perpetually keep any spell running for an eternity.

Michael immediately wanted to try it out. He teleported himself out of the flaming barrier and onto a desolate part of the Golden Road a hundred kilometers away from the First Settlement. There was nothing here but the endless concrete road and the flat plains of the Grafted Cluster.

He raised his hand and cast his newly acquired spell [Wall of Rebirth].

As he did so, the eight mana cores in his body started to pump out billions and billions of mana particles out and onto his palms. But that wasn't enough to even form the outline of the magic theory itself.

He had to gather all the mana in his surroundings, sucking them in like he was a black hole.

The air started to blow in his direction, making his clothes flutter. The ground started to shake, with soil particles levitating from the ground. Precipitation from the clouds rained down on him—directly on him only and nothing else. And finally, the intense heat of the sun concentrated itself onto Michael's palms, creating smoke and steam flowing upwards.

The mana particles in the surrounding were far more abundant than his own cores, allowing the magic circle to finally take shape.

The writings on the magic circle were filled with wavy and geometric scribbles, dictating the magic theory behind the very spell itself.

The edges glowed in a bright white light, signalling its finished construction.

He gently pushed the magic circle, letting it float perfectly into the air just on the edge of the Golden Road itself.

That was just the first half of the spell.

He created another magic circle in his other hand. This time, the mana he absorbed from the surroundings were completely different from the four basic elements.

Light, Dark, Lightning, and Poison slowly but surely gathered themselves into Michael's palms. Some rose up from deep underground while others rained down from the very heavens itself, outer space.

Once the magic circle finished, he pushed it onto the other side of the road, finally creating a closed loop.

As soon as it took its rightful place, a translucent wall of golden aura emerged from the circles and spread out towards the outer edges of the Golden Road.

It went as far as half a kilometer on both sides and to the skies, creating an enclosed space on this portion of the Golden Road.

Michael looked at his creation and was immensely satisfied.

This was perhaps the first time that a spell took such a toll on him. He felt the mana from his cores constantly getting depleted by the magic circles and constantly getting replenished from his surroundings.

He then picked up a small rock from the ground and threw it towards the golden aura.

As soon as the rock touched the Unity barrier, it was suddenly engulfed in a bright white flame that disintegrated its very structure in just a couple of milliseconds.

There weren't even any ashes left from the rock. The Earth mana was immediately cancelled out by the other mana supplied by the magic circles.

Michael had no doubt that any bandit or wild animal that stumbled upon this road would immediately find themselves destroyed from their very cores.

It's powerful, Michael thought to himself. Maybe too powerful.

Now, of course, this did raise some concerns. After all, there could be a time when a person would accidentally touch the barrier and immediately find themselves without a finger. If that was the case, then this barrier would be a lot more troublesome than its worth.

ChatJK4, can you edit the spell a little bit so that it can recognize whether someone is an intruder or not? Is there a way to do that?

[Unfortunately, the criteria to identify someone as an intruder is far too vague and complicated for me to take into account for the spell. However, there is a way to identify someone as an ally or a friend.]

His personal AI assistant took a couple of seconds before presenting Michael with a new version of the spell.

[Gate of Rebirth]

— ★★★★★

— Unity element

— This spell allows the user to create a physical barrier that will prevent any unwanted trespassers from entering. Any unauthorized attempt to do so will result in them being burned with the power of the Unity flames.

— Those with authorization will be allowed entry and exit from the Gate of Rebirth

— Only those who are in possession of a Reborn shadow clone is granted authorization

Michael looked at this new spell and found it to be quite complicated. According to ChatJK4, this new [Gate of Rebirth] would only allow entry and exit from people who are in possession of Reborn shadow clones.

Shadow clones, as in my shadow clones and the Orcs' shadow clones?

[That is correct.]

After thinking about it for a minute, Michael finally understood. The thing about the shadow clones seemed arbitrary at first, but when taken into account what they possessed, then it made sense.

New n𝙤vel chapters are published on freeweɓnøvel.com.

The Reborn shadow clones could access the Rebornian innate skill [Lesser Unity Defense].

And if those clones are attached to someone that wasn't a Rebornian, then they were included in the [Lesser Unity Defense] skill, which allowed them to be unharmed by the Unity Flames from the [Gate of Rebirth]!

So in short, only those that were Rebornian or had Rebornian clones attached to them could enter and exit the [Gate of Rebirth] unharmed.

Hmm…then this means that I will have to start setting up toll booths…
