Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family-Chapter 370: Finding a way to spend money
Michael looked at the illustration with awe and wonder in his eyes. This kind of power transcended what he currently knew about magic and mana. It was as if Divas and Aubilities could rewrite the very fabric of reality itself!
"How about my [Unity Gun]. Is that considered an Aubility?" he said, doing the gesture for a finger gun.
Virian looked through her scrolls again for a second, before shaking her head. "I don't know. I had never seen a natural Maugnetic before. Usually, there is another requirement for a Maugnetic to manifest their Diva. They need a Mithril Relic.
Even if a Maugnetic have already advanced through the stages of Body Formation, even if they have discovered their Aubilities, as long as they do not have a Mithril Relic equipped, then they would not be able to call upon their Diva.
Mithril Relics are crucial for Maugnetics. It is the weapon in which their Divas are able to manifest their power.
The fact that you are able to manifest your Diva without a Mithril Relic in hand is because you are a natural Maugnetic."
Michael was able to manifest his Diva for a brief second as he activated his [Unity Gun].
I think it's because [Unity Gun] is a spell that uses the Unity mana. My mastery over all eight elements is what makes me a natural maugnetic in the first place.
There was a correlation there, but not enough evidence for Michael to conclude.
"So does that mean that I don't have to get my own Mithril Relic?" he asked.
"Even if you can manifest your Diva without one, you still need one. The humans of the Ancient Era were natural Maugnetics like you, but they still use a Mithril Relic to manifest their Diva. It is said to help you connect more with the Diva and be able to manifest its true power."
Michael nodded, making a mental note for himself to finally get himself a Mithril Artifact.
"So all I need is a Mithril Relic?" he asked.
"Yes. It is imperative. Of course, finding one for yourself is already hard enough. Those humans have already hoarded all the good ones left behind by the Ancient Era. But fear not. There are always pocket dimensions, buried graveyards, and discoveries that turn up every day. If you're lucky, you may find one there."
Virian began sorting through her books and presenting it to Michael. "This is where you'll likely find a Mithril Relic…"
Michael was thankful for her help, but he didn't need it.
"It's fine," he said to her. "I can obtain one for myself."
Virian raised her eyebrows. "Oh! You already have one?"
Michael swayed his head left and right. "Not exactly. I mean, I can make one for myself if needed." ƒгeewebnovёl.com
The old Fairy shook her head, confused. "What are you saying?"
"I know how to make a Mithril Artifact from scratch."
Virian froze, with even the golden dust flowing off of her wings seemingly stopping in time.
"What…"
"Yeah, a Mithril Relic is just a Mithril Artifact that is worn down by time, right? I can make one from scratch."
Shock would be an understatement to describe what Virian was feeling right now. After all, the method to create a Mithril Artifact was thought to have been lost in time, as well as the ability to wield the Unity mana.
That was why humans have scoured the Earth for the Mithril Artifacts that remained from the Ancient Era.
But because thousands of years had passed, those Mithril Artifacts had now been degraded to such a degree where it is only a fraction of what they were before—some had even been broken off into just pieces and fragments. Those degraded weapons were called Mithril Relics.
But now, Michael just revealed to her that he knew how to make the original Mithril Artifact.
Artifact, not relic.
"But ... .but…but how?!?! Are you sure you're not from the Ancient Era? You are already a natural Maugnetic, but now you are also a blacksmith that can create Mithril Artifacts?! This is absurd!"
Michael shrugged. "Yeah. I figured out how to create one after I touched the giant GodForge piece that the Dwarves have in their possession."
Virian's jaws were on the floor. She almost fainted.
"I don't…I don't know how to feel anymore."
When Michael arrived in their village, Virian just thought that he was some kind of human genius that was very adept in magic and spells—so much so that he was able to find a way into their pocket dimension.
But then, he showed the power of Unity and the Diva. Then, she thought he was a freak genius who somehow awakened the forgotten power of the humans in the Ancient Era.
But then, he just revealed that not only could he create Mithril Artifacts thought to have been lost in time, but he was also acquainted enough with the infamously isolated Dwarves that he was let into their greatest treasure of the giant GodForge piece!
It felt like all the luck and the strings of fate were intertwined in one person. She couldn't believe it.
It was only now that she realized it. He was special. Real special.
"Okay…deep breaths, Virian," she said, trying to recenter herself.
After hearing about what Michael was capable of, Virian would no longer be surprised by anything. The only other way she would be surprised was if he revealed that he was an envoy of the Goddess or something.
"Either way, you need your own Mithril Artifact," she said, showing the illustration of the Diva again, this time, pointing towards the sword on the human Maugnetic's hand.
"But that is not the end of what is required. Maugnetics use something called a Spirit of Old, or also known as the Oil of Old, and add it to their Mithril Relic for it to truly be a weapon worthy of a Diva."
Michael scoured his memory, and even ChatJK4's data banks, but found nothing about that specific type of oil.
"Do I just apply that oil to the Mithril Relic as-is? Or is there a special ritual? Where can I find it?"
Virian pursed her lips and shook her head. "Unfortunately, that is all that I know. Our scrolls only speak about how this oil is crucial to be able to contain the power of a Diva. Without it, Mithril Relics could shatter upon activation.
Finding it is easy, but getting it is extremely hard.
It is located in the very depths of the sea, at the very heart of Atlantis. Only the Ocean King can permit the trade of the Spirit of Old.
As you can guess, the demand for this oil is large. But the supply is very limited. Because of that, just one drop of this Spirit of Old can cost about a billion gold coins! It is not something that normal people can purchase, and is only reserved for those human conglomerates with endless money."
Virian looked at Michael, thinking that he would be disappointed at such a steep price.
But instead, he was nodding satisfactorily!
At least, I'll be able to spend my money now, he thought to himself.
That was his problem. He had too much money, and not enough things to buy.
