Rebound In Time-Chapter 45- Normal occurrence
Chapter 45 - 45- Normal occurrence
He had not used any of his new techniques. Just brute strength that was all. Because even with all his newfound strength, he couldn't compete with the local cultivator.
He had just stepped into cultivation and just recently knew about it. While others had known since the moment they were born and had worked towards the powers they have.
He had it so much easier. He had two divine energies currently residing in his body and giving him strength when it was needed. Without them he would just be another random cultivator.
He would have probably died a long while ago. Now the only thing he could do was looking up to the sky and hope that whatever was in store for him he could survive.
This was a trial that the people of Divine pavilion academy used to test their new students. If he could not just pass through this trial, then he had no right to think he can make it in the land of cultivators.
"This single trial held so much meaning that I doubly many others will be able to decipher, too busy thinking about satisfying their greed than looking at the big picture".
"With I limited power in this trial, the possibility of reaching the top thousand keeps decreasing. The moment everyone realizes what this trial is about. I will have no advantage to capitalize on"
This advantage he was talking about was the truth about this trial. Many were still walking blind. The moment they opened their eyes to see the truth, things would be a lot harder and so would surviving.
If he could not break this limiter, he would surely die sooner or later.

Meanwhile,
Ange stood her ground against multiple beasts and summoned her ash staff. The tip of the staff suddenly had a blade on it ad it turned to a spear.

She stabbed several of them but did not kill them immediately, she just incapacitated them so that they were unable to move or attack.
She kept on stabbing and slashing making sure to avoid their vital organs.
After all of them were incapacitated, she stopped to rest and catch her breath. She leaned on the ash spear and waited for a few seconds before looking behind her.
A youth the same age as Ange looked at her with indifference. There was no emotion in his eyes. The miasma like fog surrounded his body. It was so thick that you could not see through it. He did not even hesitate and said " Time, three minutes fifty one seconds. A better improvement from four minutes twenty four seconds."
Ange sighed in relief. Ever since they were both separated, Ange had been with Sunny. The youths name. After witnessing his strong display of strength, she wanted to leave after getting her strength when he turned to look at her again.
"Do you know him" he asked and brought out a jade slip with Mitchell's image on it. She stuttered " I-I d-don't know what you're ta-talking about-t".
"Don't lie to me, I can smell another scent on you. You have been close to him".
Ange did not want to tell him about Mitchell. She refused to talk about it. She would never try to betray Mitchell and that made Sunny consider her foolish.
"You can think about someone's safety not even being assured of you own. That makes me sick" he said it out loud not even caring for her feelings. In his eyes she was being dumb for someone she didn't even know that well.
He didn't want to kill her for no reason, especially since she could disappear into the void without making it known. He would like to study that art of hers so when he proposed to her a deal that he would teach her some 'basic skills' she ought to know, in return she will introduce him to Mitchell.
In his mind it was a win win situation for him and he had nothing to lose. Him meeting with someone who had a superior dragon bloodline would be able to stimulate his own.
It was a situation that he had no disadvantages at all except wasting time with Ange.
The time eluded for the trial was slowly ticking away yet the deaths of cultivators did not diminish. The mountain stood as tall and insurmountable as before.
Countless crimes had gone unpunished. People have plundered and been plundered from. There was still chaos even in the atmosphere and time progressed, the magical beasts residing in the mountain decided to make themselves known.
The previous humans who had once been plundering from themselves would now group together against the magical beasts that would also gang up to kill them. It was a hilarious sight only if you were watching as a spectator.
When it entered the three month mark, things began to be very hard for Mitchell. With the number of cultivators who would now form groups to the magical beasts. He could only run with his tail in between his legs.
His hair was no longer long and crimson purple for the fear of people recognizing him. When powerful cultivators who had heard of the great and powerful lord crimson purple within their area of proximity, they would rush to try and find out if it were true and if they were enough of them, maybe they could kill him.
Their hopes of fighting a legendary warrior was nothing but a farce inducted by Mitchell's rampage which gave him a constant headache from time to time.
One time a cultivator in the first stages of Golden core realm had seen him and attacked. He had not attacked at full strength because he was still afraid of the rumors that spoke of how he killed his victims.
Mitchell had managed to block the attack with his full strength yet he was already pale. He had already given up hope when the Golden core cultivator rival intercepted him and launched an all out attack. He used the time they were fighting against themselves to run far away as possible. From then on he changed his hair back to its normal color and resumed his task of ascension.
With his stage still being stagnant, he could ascend for several hours before being forced to rest. And defending from several cultivators as well as magical beasts made things even tougher.
By his calculations, he had climbed fifteen percent of the mountain. Seventy five more to go.
He was now in a different terrain when he passed the ten percent mark. He was in an arid part of the mountain which only had scorching hot yellow sands and endless heats.
At times the ground would tremble and and the floor would burst open and the surroundings would turn to glass from the sudden outflow of heat from the core of the mountain. Mitchell had been wandering when the ground trembled and a split second later the area around him turned to glass.
He screamed at the sudden extreme heat that was capable of melting bones instantly and fled far away at his fastest speed. He had almost been turnes into a barbeque.
Almost
But that encounter alone was enough to make him even more careful. At night it wasn't much better. Creatures that could survive the heat of the day long enough would come out at night to pick up the remaining humans who were still tired from the long day.
Mitchell had to sleep with his left eye open and constantly be circulating his Qi to always be prepared. Fortunately, these life threatening events would push his physical capabilities even more but his stage in foundation building would never increase.
With nothing to do most of the time and no one to talk to especially jack who was still in deep sleep, he would always replay the techniques he had gotten from the two gods over and over again in his mind until he grew tired.
It wasn't for naught though as his skills improved when casting the techniques and he could bring forth even more fearful power. So far he had used only one out of the two technique from the purple moon. The first one being ' Qi burst cannon' and the other one ' Meteor descent'.
He had not found a situation where the art could be used for so it remained unused. As for Qi burst cannon, he had mastered its use so much now that at the end of the art he didn't need it to be a purple ball of light that would just explode, instead it would turn into a single purple line that would enter the victims body causing severe damage before exploding while still in their body.
He had modified the technique according to his constant fights and only used the modified version when the opponent was too strong to escape immediately.
The single thread will keep them busy for a while granting him some time to make his smooth get away. It was a normal occurrence now, fight, if you can't win run, if you can't run use the purple thread as distraction and run as fast as your body can run.
