Regression - Second Chance At Life-Chapter 28: Cassie

Adam drives his car into the parking lot next to the restaurant before walking into his new workplace.

He doesn’t see himself working here for much longer. It is only for him to show his father that he is willing to take responsibility for himself. Give his dad enough to see and make a positive impression on him.

Knowing how much of a cunning bitch Julia is, Adam can’t be making mistakes that would ruin his image in his father’s eyes.

Though Adam doesn’t like his dad, he doesn’t want the same thing that happened in the past to happen again.

Adam enters his new workplace just in time, as Ellie is about to open the restaurant for the day.

Since it’s morning, no customers are here yet, but the restaurant might start getting busy at 11 AM.

"Adam, you are here, great. I have your uniform ready in the changing room inside your locker. The locker’s code is 0000, you can change it to what you want," Ellie says as she sees Adam walk in.

She is busy setting up the table for today’s service and doesn’t seem to be in any mood for distraction.

"Let me help you with that after I change into my uniform," Adam says.

Ellie lifts her head and smiles at Adam. "That would be great,"

Adam nods and walks past her as Ellie gets a whiff of the nice perfume he is wearing, which gets stuck in her head as it smells good.

Adam walks into the changing room and finds it empty. He looks around and finds the room spacious.

Ellie seems to have invested a lot in ensuring all her staff are treated well and properly accommodated.

Adam looks around and finds a locker with his name already on it. This just shows how meticulous Ellie is about this business.

Adam approaches his locker and unlocks it by inserting the code 0000 into the lock. The lock clicks open. Adam opens the locker and finds a pair of uniforms already inside, ironed to perfection.

But before he wears it, he changes the password of the locker and then begins taking his clothes off.

Stashing his casual clothes into the locker, he takes out his uniform to put it on.

As he slides his pants onto his legs and is about to close the button, the door of the locker room suddenly swings open, and a blonde girl walks in.

Adam eyes the girl. Five feet five, wavy blonde hair that falls down her shoulders, beautiful blue eyes, and a cute face.

As for her body, she is blessed. Big breasts and a sexy, curvy figure. ’I am surrounded by beautiful women,’ Adam thinks.

While Adam checks out the girl before him, the girl is frozen in shock.

She didn’t expect anyone else to be here. Since the restaurant hasn’t hired any men to work, the men’s locker room is usually empty, so she comes here to change.

As usual, she came here to change into her uniform, but she didn’t expect someone to be here.

Her eyes are wide open with shock, but she also can’t take them off the handsome man before her.

His handsome face consisting of a chiseled jaw line, dark, thick hair, striking eyes, and a perfect nose. This man is probably one of the most handsome guy she has ever seen in real life.

With his looks, he could easily become a model and represent the biggest male fashion brands, but it doesn’t just end with his face.

His body is killer, too. Wide shoulders that are defined and muscular, a strong chest, and a snatched waist with the most perfect v-taper that enhances his perfect abdominal muscles.

After being stuck for a few seconds, the girl’s face turns red. "I am so sorry!" she shouts and closes the door. Adam chuckles as he hears the girl run away.

He then gets back to putting on the rest of his uniform. Now, draped in his new uniform, Adam checks himself out in the mirror and feels great about himself.

This uniform sits perfectly on his body, which shows that a fit body is hiding behind all this elegant uniform, allowing the ladies customers to fantasize about how Adam looks without a uniform.

Pleased with the work Ellie has put into his uniform, Adam gets out of the locker room with a confident smile on his face.

He walks out and sees that Ellie is still running around, trying to get everything together.

"Hey slow down, let me help. Tell me what to do," Adam speaks up, making Ellie stop in her tracks as her eyes fall on Adam. She is stunned for a moment as Adam looks incredible in the uniform.

Her eyes dilate, and her cheeks flush a little. ’This kid is too charming,’ Ellie thinks, but that’s it. Just because she is in a relationship doesn’t mean she can’t admire good-looking people, and Adam is one fine-looking man.

Especially in this uniform. Ellie can already imagine Adam being very famous with her future lady customers.

She snaps out of her thoughts and begins guiding Adam around as he joins in to help her. With Adam’s help, things start moving fast and Ellie is impressed by how good Adam is at handling things.

Well, she doesn’t know that Adam has been doing these kinds of work all his life, working for restaurants, hotels, and fast-food establishments to make ends meet. He has a lot of experience.

As Adam helps Ellie, he can’t help but reminisce about his past. Though his life sucked, he worked hard to make ends meet, something he thought he hated.

But now that he has regressed back in time, and is doing the same thing again, he doesn’t feel that hate he used to. He realized that even though these types of jobs were shitty. It helped him a lot.

It allowed him to have a roof over his head. It gave him the ability to be more social with people. It helped him get rid of his anxiety. It taught him a little bit of discipline and so much more.

He fixes the last table under Ellie’s watch, and it’s over. The morning preparations are done.

"Thank you so much, Adam. Now that this is over, I can put all my attention in the kitchen," Ellie says.

As much as she is the owner of this restaurant, she is also a chef and loves cooking. Even after she gets famous in the future, she will continue to work in her kitchen.

"Don’t mention it," Adam smiles.

Suddenly, the girl who walked in while Adam was changing walks in. She sees Adam and blushes as she recalls the scene that just happened.

Adam also checks out the girl as she is now also in her uniform, a shirt that hugs perfectly to her body, and a pencil skirt that wraps around her waist and thighs. Not too short to be considered indecent, but not too long so that her sexy thighs are on display for people to look at.

She is also wearing the shirt with the top buttons unbuttoned, which reveals some of her cleavage.

"Ah, let me introduce you two. Cassie, this is Adam. Adam is your new coworker, as he is going to start working here today. And Adam, this is Cassie. She is my mother’s friend’s daughter," Ellie introduces them to each other.

Adam smiles and approaches Cassie and extends his hand. "Cassie, it’s nice to meet you. I hope we can get along," Adam says.

Cassie sees Adam’s charismatic smile on his handsome face and blushes. She extends her hands, and they shake hands.

Ellie smiles, seeing Cassie’s reaction. She thought this would happen as Adam is a charming young man. Even she would be acting like Cassie if she were the same age as him and not in a relationship, before Adam.

"Ok, you two get familiar with each other while I go and prepare for the rest of the day," Ellie says and leaves Adam and Cassie alone.

The restaurant is still empty as very few people come to eat at a restaurant during these hours.

"Why don’t we sit down and talk?" Adam says, smiling at Cassie.

Cassie meets his eyes before nodding her head. Adam can tell she is very shy from what happened between them.

Since she is still feeling shy, Adam doesn’t know her true nature. He will have to probe and dig in a little, get to know her, make her feel comfortable, and only then will he learn the type of girl Cassie is.

Unlike girls like Ruth, who are vain and easy to read, quiet girls like Cassie can be a headache to understand.

They can either be the sweetest people in the world, or their venom might be the most potent one of its kind.

Adam will need to know more about Cassie before he makes a move on her, as she is good-looking and he wouldn’t mind having another girl in his roster.

Adam and Cassie approach a table. Adam pulls out a chair for Cassie and gestures for her to sit down, which strung Cassie’s heart as not only is Adam handsome, but he is also a gentleman.

Trying to calm her beating heart, Cassie takes in a deep breath and exhales through her mouth.

Adam notices this but doesn’t call her out on it. He doesn’t want to embarrass her any further.

With Cassie seated, he too pulls out a chair for himself and sits down beside her.

"So, Cassie, how long have you been working here for?" Adam starts the questioning.
