In the pocket dimension.

A pyramid stood at the center of this false world, its pointed peak reaching high into the sky.

Its surface consisted of deep black metal platings and arranged close to these metal platings were crimson concrete blocks. Everything aligned to form the large pyramid.

Two kilometers wide at the base and two and a half kilometers tall, it was the biggest artificial structure any creature had ever seen.

The grounds surrounding the pyramid were covered with hordes of creatures of different kinds.

Octopuses, Squids, sharks, birds, water lions, sea serpents, swordfish men, whale people.

Even some non-aquatic beings had managed to make it here, although there were very few of them.

Currently, the atmosphere here was heated as small fights began to happen all over the place.

At first, although there was no calmness or decorum, violence had not yet been introduced to the field.

Then it started.

The squids began to notice the octopuses trying to press themselves on the walls of the pyramid. They were restless, seeing so many creatures coming for the same thing they were coming for.

It was obvious, they were trying to look for a way to get into the pyramid. They were sure that the so-called treasure was inside.

And looking at the size of this pyramid, they could guess that there would be a lot of treasures inside. But even then greed didn't let them think of sharing.

Octopuses started shoving their bodies into the squids and the squids shoved back.

Soon, small sections of the horde erupted into a full-out brawl between both sides and this eventually reached the camps of other creatures.

Flames and rocks flew through the air at incredible speeds, electric nets spread from one victim to the other, and hundreds of water blades and ice spikes revolved around different fighters.

It didn't take long for the ground to receive a lot of blood and the strong smell of iron to spread into their senses.

While these multiple fights were happening, many creatures including the birds were still looking for an entrance.

Most creatures were particularly wary of the lions that had managed to come, the water lions.

They seemed to know something yet they didn't want to tell anyone about it, or maybe they couldn't, but no one cared.

A lot of water lions didn't even reach the center of the horde before they were bombarded to death.

The sharks, squids, and octopus leaders were very particular about how they dealt with any water lion coming close.

"Find the entrance, FAST!" The leaders, not up to five, were starting to panic.

They had surrounded the pyramid but there was no way to enter. Fights had already started and they hadn't even seen the treasure.

The leaders were spread out, with two of the octopus leaders on the south side of the pyramid. These two octopuses were comparable to a tier 4 lion, they were powerful in their own rights, yet they looked stressed.

One was a red War Octopus with a massive body and thick tentacles, their crushing strength made evident with every wave. Each sucker on his tentacles had a suction force enough to skin an ordinary tier 3 wolf.

The second octopus was a much smaller one with a grey-colored body and a vast amount of spirit energy surging from it. A spirit octopus, the same octopus that had been responsible for sending information to all the octopuses in the pocket dimension.

They looked at each other with understanding in their eyes. They had to find an entrance and they had to find it fast.

It was also at this time that two groups of lions came into the picture.

From the south, Kael and Chloe flew toward the horde of creatures, covered in layers of spatial barriers and magic barriers. They flew fast, covering hundreds of meters in an instant.

Compared to the vast horde of creatures, their two figures were less eye-catching so they were barely noticed.

Like a hot knife through butter, they cut through the horde easily, laying waste to the beasts and leaving streaks of blood and power behind them.

Chloe followed Kael's lead, spreading her wings and coating them with sharp wind edges. As she flew, her wings sliced through the countless beasts.

Kael was slightly ahead, his wings grew metallic bone spurs from the joints and stretched wide, encompassing a large area around him.

With his massive wings as a conduit, he channeled various energies to destroy the enemies in front of him. He showed no mercy, obliterating everything in front of and beside him.

However, since they were lions, they quickly got the attention of those who wished to stop them.

The spirit octopus leader used her hive mind ability to observe Kael and instantly deemed him necessary to kill.

They couldn't allow any lion to come over, not until they figured out how to enter the pyramid themselves.

Kael and Chloe noticed the sudden increase in resistance as they got closer. The octopuses were fierce, but they were fiercer.

Birds swooped down to stop them, octopuses charged to restrain them with their tentacles, and sea serpents rushed to bite them.

Just when Chloe was thinking of suggesting to Kael about escaping, a golden flash appeared in front of her, coming from Kael.

She squinted her eyes slightly and what she saw was the instant elimination of all the beasts coming at them.

Kael grew, reaching the height of a standard tier four lion, his already large wings grew larger and his aura changed.

Chloe was shocked to feel the aura of a lion in between tier 4 and tier 5.

Had he always been hiding this strength?

Kael basically turned into a killing machine. Every single creature that threw themselves at him was either clawed in half, consumed by fire, torn by spatial distortions, or electrocuted to death.

Hundreds of thick vines rolled out of the ground like sandworms, constricting and crushing everything in their paths.

Chloe didn't even need to fight, she was safe as long as she stayed close to him, that was how effective Kael had become after this mysterious transformation.

She was still shocked, this was a transformation she had never heard of before, a power that let him have the power of the tier above him. It was unheard of.

By now, she was sure that Kael was the so-called Primordial Lion.

"Kael, since it is a pyramid den, it should naturally react to our presence, all we need to do is get close to the base." She said to Kael.

The gigantic golden lion did not answer immediately, it was like she was talking to another person.

Kael controlled the space and sped up, moving closer to the pyramid and destroying all fleshy resistance in his way.

"STOP!" A telepathic voice thundered into their minds and it came with an angry tone, it was the voice of the red War Octopus.

Kael naturally didn't stop, rather, he flapped his wings and broke the sound barrier, instantly crossing hundreds of meters and bashing his body into the red giant octopus.

Kael's greenish horns sank into the octopus's body before being stopped by constricting muscles.

The war octopus fought back, wrapping his strong tentacles around Kael and attempting to crush him. It was a battle of raw physical strength and Kael was not playing fair.

Flames erupted from Kael's body, burning into the layers of the war octopus flesh. He clawed and pushed, bashing the eighth-legged thing into the ground until they were close to the pyramid.

"Go!" Kael's voice was deeper and more menacing than usual.

Chloe was forcefully teleported close to the pyramid and the spirit octopus leader witnessed this.

She immediately directed her hive mind and ordered more creatures to go after them.

Alas, they were a bit too late. Kael had already accounted for the attacks and provided sufficient protection while he handled the War Octopus leader.

Amid all the attacks and body slams, Chloe made it close to the pyramid, and the pyramid, as expected, reacted to her presence.

The black metal walls shifted out of the way, layer by layer. Without even checking, Chloe launched herself into the pathway which immediately closed behind her.

"NOOOOOOOOO!" The spirit octopus leader seemed to have gone mad.

Kael had seen how Chloe entered and as he nodded within himself, he had used Chloe but it turned out fine in the end.

He didn't bother with the War Octopus leader again -who was already half dead after being hit with all of Kael's crazy attacks-

He flapped his wings and rushed at the pyramid. No one could stop him. As soon as he got close, the black metal plates shifted to the side with a metallic clanking sound.

The pathway was just the right size. Kael dived in and just as it had done with Chloe, it closed behind him.

The Spirit Octopus leader screamed again, finally going crazy with jealousy.

Something similar was happening on the west side of the pyramid.

Xu Ying and his team of young lions were relatively better off compared to Kael and Chloe.

They all rushed through the horde inside a wide multicolored magic barrier that encompassed all of them.

No matter how the squids and the other creatures attacked, they just couldn't break through.

The source of this incredible magic barrier was none other than Xu Ying.

All the lions and lionesses inside the magic barrier had calm expressions on their faces as they were confident in Prince Xu Ying's abilities.

Unlike Kael and Chloe, Xu Ying and his gang didn't need to engage in pointless battles, as Xu Ying had called them.

Orion, the war lion, desperately wished to go out, but even he knew that now was not the time. He gazed at those who attacked his barrier with eyes that promised violence.

Soon, Xu Ying reached the pyramid, bringing the other lions and lionesses with him.

They already knew what this pyramid was and already expected an opening to be formed for them. As expected, it did. This only made Xu Ying's frown deepen.

As the metal plates shifted away to form a dark path inside, the group ran into it. As soon as they were in, the metal plates slid back behind them, crushing a few bold squids that had tried to enter with lions.

This was seen by many beasts and it nearly drove them to greed fueled insanity. Their chances of evolution, their treasure, it was about to fall into the hands of those lions.

Meanwhile, after Xu Ying's group entered the pathway, they found themselves in a wide ancient, and luxurious hallway. It was luxurious according to Lion standards.

Before they could settle down to observe their surroundings, a voice echoed out through the walls of the Pyramid.

It was a voice that was also heard by Kael and Chloe.

"WELCOME TO THE ABODE OF AZIZA, THE LAST SON OF NOEL!"
