"...Kael, do you think our culture is flawed?" Chloe ended her summary of the lion culture

Kael shook his head, "I don't know," he said bluntly, "But I like it,"

Kael still remembered that his body would have been eaten by other lionesses if he had not reincarnated into it at that time when he was a cub.

Lions were fully capable of cannibalism after all.

Although his father and Nalii had not brought him up in the strict way of the lions, he wasn't too far off.

Kael listened to Chloe's explanation about the lion culture and its culling method for the weaklings.

Just as there were exceptional lions and lionesses like Wadolius, Alora, and N'bayé, there would have been weak lions who could barely stand against the average lion in the same tier.

These weaklings were not allowed to live. If their siblings didn't kill them when they were cubs, they would be dealt with when it was time to prove their Lionhood.

"When you prove you're Lionhood, do you have to take part in a ceremony?" Kael asked.

They had already stepped out of the elevator and were wandering the corridors of the third level.

They passed by the entrance to the private hangar where the Iron Blood Shuttle and the other nameless shuttle were parked.

They passed by the info orb library. Kael still wanted to check for some knowledge here but he felt that it could wait for now.

There was a food storage room which was also widened by magic and space powers, making it two kilometers long the same size as the whole pyramid. Naturally, there was no frozen food inside, just dirt and frozen mush. The smell in there was absolutely terrible and caused even Kael to frown

It would have to be cleaned out at a later time.

They passed by a few more rooms that were very impressive, an indoor garden, an indoor lake, a sparring room, there was even something that looked like a kitchen, except cruder and lacking the necessary equipment most human kitchens would have.

There were also some very useless rooms that Kael was already thinking of repurposing.

"It wasn't really a ceremony," Chloe said in response to Kael's question, "We usually have to prove our Lionhood by conquering something of similar power level.

No one really governs this or how it works, even Lion King's don't care to coordinate it. But to be fully accepted into a pride and into the lion society as a whole, one would have to prove his or her Lionhood.

It's not as simple as finding a piece of land and just claiming it as conquered, that's the easy way out and it won't be recognized. We have to make other creatures with similar power levels to us submit or kill them.

Spirit lions are somewhat lucky in this case as their power allows them to avoid direct conflict.

All that matters when proving Lionhood is showing that as a lion, you were superior compared to the other creatures of the universe.

Prove you're Lionhood, prove your superiority,"

At the end of Chloe's words, her voice had taken a strange tone and a look of fanaticism flashed in her eyes.

'No wonder they have bullies like Adolf, that's the type of shit that turns them on,' Kael thought with a smile, noticing the lion in Chloe's eyes.

The more he learned about his lion race, the more he liked them. The culture suited the natural superiority complex that lions had.

Proving Lionhood wouldn't be something any lion or lioness was forced to do, it's something they went out to do of their own will.

"How did you prove your own Lionhood?" Kael asked. He had asked this question casually but he suddenly realized that he didn't know much about Chloe or her background apart from the fact that her grandfather was a lion king.

"Me?" Chloe paused, "I just hunted down and wiped out a family flock of birds. The bird leader of that flock had a similar power level to a tier 3 lion so it was recognized as proving my Lionhood

But compared to what Alora did, mine was just so-so."

They finally reached a doorway that was different from the rest, it was wider and higher than the others.

This was the last room that they hadn't checked in the whole third level. If it did have what he was looking for, Kael would have to walk around naked in his humanoid form a little longer.

"It seems tier 3 is the standard for lions," Kael said lightly while walking into the room.

"Yeah, thankfully I was born with my tier 3 power level and didn't need to do all that work. I just have to focus on getting into tier 4."

Chloe said this with a smirk, she had said this to rub in Kael's face, knowing that he was probably not born with a high power level.

"Wait, how old are you?" Kael asked all of a sudden.

Chloe looked to be in her early twenties and he knew that tier 3 lions had the same lifespan as a regular human which was about one hundred years.

If she was born with a tier 3 power level, then…

Chloe opened her mouth to answer, but Kael stopped her, "You know what, forget it," he said.

He waved his hand as he brought his focus to the interior of the room they were in.

Chloe didn't think much about Kael's dismissal, she also didn't know Kael's age. Although with the kind of society the lions had, age wasn't an issue as long as both parties were mature adults.

Chloe and Kael were both adults…

"This should be the wardrobe," Chloe mentioned, glancing around at the place they were in.

This place was like a super-sized warehouse. Metal shelves and hangers lined the room in all directions, reaching high and almost touching the five-meter-high ceiling.

Most of these shelves were empty but Kael could still see a few folded clothes on some of them.

He walked in between the shelves, looking at the clothes that had been neatly folded and arranged.

There was dust everywhere and the clothes Kael was seeing were the quality ones which had been made to last.

Although most of the clothes were gone, leaving the wardrobe room looking empty, there were still about one thousand good clothes remaining.

After going around, he finally selected a black sleeveless shirt, black loose trousers, and a pair of black sandals, which he then accessorized with black bracelets for each of his arms.

He had been thinking of remaining barefoot but never planned to add bracelets, but Chloe suggested he wear at least a simple footwear.

The bracelets were just something Kael liked and decided to wear them.

Now, Kael was dressed in all black, each item in his body having been tampered with magic.

Since there were more clothes to select from, Kael decided to diversify his fashion later. For now, this simple attire would do.

Chloe also selected something to wear, she selected another pair of black leggings and put on a simple short-sleeved white shirt.

The leggings hugged her legs, bringing out the shape of her butt while also accenting her curves.

"Let's go back to the info orb library, I want to confirm something."

The two left the warehouse and headed straight for the library, having light casual conversations with each other about the lion civilization.

Kael couldn't help but think of Katari at his time, what would she do if she woke up and found out that Chloe was now part of the Pride?

Sometimes, he wondered if Katari was even able to feel jealousy.

They soon reached the library.

"What do you want to check here?" Chloe asked with a frown.

The library was just too large and there were just too many info orbs floating around. If Kael wanted to find a particular thing, it could take time.

"It won't be long," Kael said. Using his telepathy, he sent out a keyword into the in-built search system of the library.

"Universal energy source!" He said telepathically. The orbs floating around reacted to this and started moving away as a particular info orb sped over to Kael from the distance.

"Origin Essence?" Chloe asked, confusing Kael.

The info orbs that had answered Kael's call levitated to Kael's front and stopped in front of his face.

He reached out with his telepathy to look into it.

[Origin Essence Properties And Uses] was the name of this info orb.

Conquering Essence, Origin Essence… Kael was starting to draw some patterns but made no conclusions.

Chloe didn't talk, she knew about Origin Essence but didn't know enough to be considered knowledgeable on the matter. Energy source was usually the field of Magus Lions.

Kael reached out to grab the info orbs, letting the cold surface touch his palm, causing the light to dim.

Now that he had what he wanted, Kael turned to Chloe, "I'll attend to Adolf now,"
