Reincarnated As An Extra With The 10x Link System-Chapter 15: Reunion
Chapter 15 - Reunion
Chapter 15
She wasn't mistaken one bit; those glimmering amber eyes and fair white skin were all she needed to know who was standing before her. It had come as a shock to her, prompting a sudden outburst of emotions she didn't expect.
Megumi's elder sister was standing before her. If there was any other person she could place her trust in other than her elder sister, then it would be Rikiyo.
" How did you get here?" She slowly added, wiping away the tears from her eyes.
Rikiyo proceeded forward toward her, reaching for her face with her right hand and aiding her to wipe off the tears as she smiled at her.
" It's okay now." She said, slowly removing her hand from her face, and leaning closer to her, she whispered a few words.
" Have you encountered yours by any chance?"

Yuki simply looked up at her, confused at the sudden question and what it even meant. She was silent for the most part, trying hard to figure out what to even say at that moment.
While she was still deep in thought, she was quickly pulled away by the hand and forced along with Rikiyo. They soon arrived at a local store down the market which they both proceeded to enter.
" You must be tired. This restaurant sells some exquisite meals that I would recommend to you if you're hungry." Rikiyo inquired as they both took their seats.
Yuki turned to look around the place before slowly turning back toward Rikiyo who was smiling at her from the other end of the table.
" I should probably tell her about her brother, but right now she seems a bit eager to have our conversation wait. Either way, she will ask about him. So... I guess I just have to wait till she's ready to talk." She thought, smiling back at Rikiyo with a slight chuckle.
And looking down at the menu on the table, she added, "Anything simple will do, and I would like it if the spice was moderate as well."
Rikiyo proceeded to pick up the menu and began to slowly glance through it and it seemed that she was having a bit of a hard time picking out the right meal for her younger second cousin.
The restaurant was large with so many meals to choose from. There were so many that would fit Yuki's taste, and so in the end she decided to list them out, asking her which one she would prefer.
" I'll take this one." Yuki pointed out, glancing through the menu one last time.
After that, there was a brief silence between the both of them as they slowly ate their meals. It was a bit of a rush for the both of them as they finished their meals quickly but the painful silence still eluded them after that, until Yuki finally decided to break it.
" What did you want to tell me earlier?"
" Oh," Riki replied with a slight gasp, slowly looking around them to see if anyone could hear them. She then proceeded to lean closer, so close that only Yuki would be able to hear her, " I was going to ask you if you've ever happened to see someone who looks exactly like you."
She retreated a bit, looking straight at Yuki's confused gaze as she added, " They only exist around here and so far I've made sure to keep note of each of them, at least the doppelgangers of the few people I know. To be honest, I always thought the reason I never saw yours was because you somehow never appeared here, but it seems that I was wrong all along."
Yuki's heart began pounding heavily upon hearing those words as she slowly turned her head to look around, but there wasn't anyone looking at them.
" Have I been that secluded?" She thought, turning back towards Riki.
Her hands trembled slightly as it slid forward across the table and she quickly gripped onto Riki's. The great amount of fear building up inside her became more visible as the table began shaking along with her.
" We weren't the only ones who crossed through that gate were we?" She asked looking straight into Riki's eyes, " What happens if our doppelgangers know more than we do? Won't they try to kill us?"
Seeing her in such a sorry, Riki slowly reached forward holding tighter onto her hand while pulling her closer as she whispered a few words, " I already dealt with with them."
" So we just need to find your doppelganger and try to find a way back home after that. You may have already felt it yourself- ever since arriving here, my growth has been exponential. I've managed to awaken my innate ability. I'll protect you until we find a way out of here, okay?"
Yuki simply nodded her head to the words she had just said, slowly pulling herself back and sitting upright on her chair once again. Her worries still hadn't been easedofff yet as she still had many things she wanted to say to Riki but didn't know how to voice them out.
" You really haven't spoken much since we got here." Riki pointed out, quickly cutting the few moments of silence between the both of them short once again.
" Well... You see, actually... well I've... I have a... a few things to tell you, but I actually... I don't know how to say it." She blurted out amidst murmurs that only Yuki could hear and tell out, " Can we leave now? There's actually something I really want to show you."
They both walked out of the place after that and enjoyed the scenery around the capital one last time before it finally began getting dark, but before that, Yuki had asked Rikiyo to follow her back home.
All she ended up telling her was that Megumi had been sick ever since they arrived here, and it would be best if she could come to see for herself. They soon arrived at the house.
It was only about seventy-five meters away from the town square of the capital city, which meant that the place was just as lively as most would expect. There was a study wooden fence surrounding the house and a few children running around within the confinement.
Yuki slowly opened and they both walked in. Riki's eyes darted around at the beauty of the surrounding areas- the house was surrounded by flowers that were trimmed to perfection.
" Among every other house here, yours truly stands out." Riki said, slowly following Yuki further into the house, " other than being unconscious, has he been suffering anything else?"
" Well sometimes, he suddenly starts twiddling his fingers and rolling his eyeballs, but it only usually goes on for five seconds at most. Ame is a well-known physician who lives just around the neighborhood, and I couldn't sense anything wrong with his flow of energy." Yuki said.
Rikiyo quickly walked past her as soon as opened the door to the room Megumi lay in, her gaze immediately shifting towards her unconscious younger brother. He quickly ran towards him, kneeling by the side of the bed as she gently placed her palm on his forehead.
His eyes were swollen and his skin had turned pale. Just like Yuki had told her, she still couldn't find what it was that could be troubling him.
Yuki had tried her best, but it was obvious that he was only getting worse since being left here and she quickly made up her mind to take her out of here.
" I'm taking Megumi with me, and you should probably come as well." She said, quickly lifting him up from the bed.
" Where could we possibly be going? It's already almost nighttime." Yuki opposed, throwing a startled gaze at them, "These streets are not safe at night."
" It's okay, I have my ways." She replied, taking a deep breath.
Yuki couldn't recount what happened next, but it was so fast it almost didn't feel real, but something obviously happened as she could tell she wasn't in the same room anymore.
