Reincarnated as Itsuka Shido: Collecting Spirits as Lovers-Chapter 162: Kidnapped
Chapter 162 - Kidnapped
When the group returned to E-Rantel, night had already fallen. They temporarily parted ways since Ainz needed to register Hamsuke as his magical beast companion at the guild, and naturally, Nabe accompanied him. Meanwhile, the Sword of Darkness and Shido stayed with Nfirea, heading to his home to deliver the herbs they had gathered.
Before they separated, Nabe cast a hateful glare at Shido before silently turning to follow Ainz. She didn't get any chance to get her panties back since she didn't want to suddenly asked for them in Ainz's presence.
Watching her retreating figure, Shido felt a mix of amusement and satisfaction. Her hostile intentions toward him earlier made him feel she deserved a touch of humiliation in return.
...
"Alright, everyone, can you bring everything inside?" Nfirea said as he opened the door to his house, holding a lamp in his hand.
"Understood," Peter replied, starting to unload the bags. Lukrut and Dyne also worked together to carry everything into the house.
"Is Grandma out?" Nfirea muttered, puzzled by the silence. It was unusual for her not to greet them.
Just as he was wondering why the house felt so quiet, a door from one of the inner rooms creaked open. A woman stepped out, wearing revealing armor that hugged her ample chest, paired with a garter belt that accentuated her slender frame and flat abs. A black robe hung loosely over her shoulders, adding a touch of unsettling vibe. An eerie smile spread across her face as she greeted them.
"Welcome back," the woman said with elation, clearly pleased by Nfirea's return.
"Man, I was really worried. You didn't come back for days," she added with a seductive chuckle, her voice laced with playful malice.
She slowly pulled back the hood of her robe, revealing flowing blonde hair and a stunningly beautiful face twisted into a sinister smile. The sight sent a chill down Nfirea's spine.
She opened her mouth to speak again, but before she could utter another word, an invisible force slammed into her with tremendous power. Her body was violently hurled across the room, crashing into the wall with a thunderous impact.
"W-Who dared to attack me?!" the woman roared, her voice trembling with fury as she turned to face her attacker. Her knees shook from the force of the blow, if not for her quick reflexes, she would've been knocked unconscious.
"Acheval-san?!" Nfirea and the members of the Sword of Darkness stood frozen in shock, stunned to see Shido suddenly attacking the woman without hesitation.
"What are you doing? Quickly, help me! She clearly has bad intentions toward Nfirea-san!" Shido shouted at the group, snapping them out of their daze.
"Right!" Peter responded quickly. He had already sensed something was off the moment he saw the woman. Without hesitation, he drew his sword and moved to flank her alongside Shido.
"W-What does she want with me?" Nfirea stammered, his hands trembling so much that he nearly dropped the lamp. Fortunately Shido was with them so he started to regain his composure.
Shido had recognized her the moment he laid eyes on her, Clementine, the infamous rogue. Once a member of the Slane Theocracy's Black Scripture, she had abandoned her post and aligned herself with Zurrernorn for protection.
Clementine didn't answer Nfirea's question. Instead, her eyes locked onto Shido with anger, knowing full well he was the one who had struck her. The force of his earlier attack still lingered in her body, but despite her fury, she didn't lash out. She knew better than to act recklessly.
Instead, she began reevaluating the situation and silently shifted to Plan B. Still, she couldn't help but take a moment to appraise him. Strong, cold, and undeniably handsome, Shido was exactly her type. 'It would be a shame to kill someone like him,' she mused. 'Maybe capturing him would be a better option.'
Clementine hadn't expected anyone of Shido's caliber to be traveling with Nfirea. That was a serious miscalculation on their part. Judging by the power he'd just displayed, he was easily on par with, or perhaps even stronger than an adamantite-class adventurer.
"What are you planning to do?" Shido asked coldly. Although he already know what they were planning, he still needed to ask them.
The woman smiled slyly and pointed at Nfirea. "I just wanted to be friends with that boy over there." She slid her stilettos back into their sheath, a deliberate gesture meant to lower their guard.
Just as she expected, Peter and the rest of the Sword of Darkness relaxed slightly at the sight of her sheathing her weapon, but that was exactly what she had been waiting for.
"Khajit!" the woman shouted suddenly, causing the group to exchange confused glances.
Before anyone could react, a creepy old man with red robes appeared behind Nfirea without them noticing, of course, Shido excluded.
"Tsk, you had an easy task and you failed." the old man clicked his tongue in frustration. His name was Khajit, a necromancer with ambitions to turn E-Rantel into a city of the undead.
Without hesitation, Khajit grabbed Nfirea by the neck, cutting off any chance for the Sword of Darkness to strike back easily.
The woman, now elated, leapt to Khajit's side. When he blamed her, she pouted and tried to defend herself. "How was I supposed to know someone as strong as him would be with the target?"
"Hmph! Stop making excuse." Khajit snorted at her words but he didn't let his guard down since even if he didn't want to admit it, he felt a dangerous vibe coming from Shido.
Meanwhile Shido was just staring at them without any emotion seen on his face.
"I don't know who you are, but you better stop meddling in other people's business if you don't want to die!" Khajit was arrogant since he thought that he was the strongest in E-Rantel. He wasn't aware that the person he was warning could kill him easily.
"Bastard! Let go of Nfirea-san!" Peter and the rest shouted at the old man. But they couldn't do anything since Nfirea was held captive.
"Hmph!" Khajit said nothing in response, instead beginning to chant softly. The orb in his hand started to glow with an eerie light.
"Bye bye!" the woman called out cheerfully, waving her hand as she winked at Shido. Then, their bodies began to shimmer and fade, it was teleportation magic.
Normally, Khajit wouldn't have been able to cast such a spell, but he possessed a rare item that allowed him to use magic of the fifth tier.
Just as they were about to teleport, Shido who was silent from the beginning disappeared from his position and suddenly appeared in front of the old man and woman then raised his sword.
Shido's sudden appearance made both Khajit and Clementine's eyes widen in shock, they hadn't even seen how he appeared in front of them. Fortunately, the magic was completed and they disappeared from the room.
"Damn! They took Nfirea-san!" Lukrut slammed his foot against the floor in frustration, feeling utterly helpless against such powerful foes.
Peter, Dyne, and Ninya shared the same sinking feeling, their spirits sinking low.
However, when they were feeling depressed, the four of them suddenly heard a thud sound of something that fall to the ground.
They look at the direction of the sound and saw that it came from Shido. No, to be precise, it came to the thing that fallen in front of his feet.
When the four got a clear view of what that thing was, they became shock.
"An arm?!"4x
They exclaimed at the same time.
Yes, it was the arm of Khajit. A part of his red robe was cut together with his withered arm. Shido manage to slash an arm from Khajit before they disappeared.
"You all should head to the guild and request reinforcements," Shido said calmly as he strode toward the door and opened it.
Although they were shock to see that Shido manage to injure the creepy old man despite using teleportation, they shifted their eyes towards Shido that told them to gather reinforcement.
"What about you, Acheval-san?" Peter asked anxiously.
"I'll go ahead and find Nfirea."
