An evil laugh bubbled up from deep within me. My eyes glittered with excitement, the adrenaline of the moment making me feel more alive than I had in days.

This was my element, the dark purpose I was born for—a torturer, a devil who thrived on the suffering of those who dared cross me.

I glanced at the goons, now reduced to trembling. My tentacles, now retracted and settled.

Puriel stood to the side, her head tilted away, her teeth digging into her lower lip.

She looked like she was trying to physically hold back her revulsion, her eyes squeezed shut as if she could block out the reality of what she had allowed to happen.

She didn't want to see what I was doing, didn't want to witness the consequences of her inaction. Or maybe, deep down, she didn't want to feel the guilt for letting me do this without a fight.

- BAM!

The goons' bodies fell to the floor in grotesque, unnatural shapes. They were alive, but barely, looking more like monstrous abominations than men. Their limbs were contorted at impossible angles, their faces frozen in silent screams.

They couldn't move, couldn't speak, their eyes wide and filled with a mix of horror and incomprehension. The slime that had bound them slithered back into my tentacles and re-entered my body.

I let out a final, triumphant laugh, savoring the scene before me.

My eyes sparkled with a dark, twisted excitement. This was what made me feel alive.

My laughter faded. I turned to Puriel, who stood a few feet away.

"You should take the girls to a safe place," I said. "They'll probably blame those girls for this."

Puriel didn't respond with words. Instead, she simply turned on her heel and walked back to where the girls lay unconscious.

Her movements were stiff, almost mechanical, as if she was on autopilot, doing what needed to be done without fully engaging with the reality around her.

'Guess that's a yes then,' I thought.

It was typical of her, avoiding direct confrontation while still doing what she thought was right.

While Puriel was busy with the girls, I decided to take care of the loose ends.

I activated my Camouflage skill, my form shifting and changing until I was the spitting image of the great leader himself.

With a smirk, I used my teleportation skill to transport myself to the control room where they stored and monitored all the CCTV footage for the building.

I materialized behind the guards.

"Hello," I said, my voice dripping with malevolent glee.

They turned, eyes wide, stumbling over themselves in their haste to react. "S-sir!" one of them stammered, clearly terrified.

Before they could compose themselves, I raised my hand and swung it downwards with a flourish, activating my Telekinesis skill.

An invisible force pressed down on their bodies, driving them to their knees before me in one synchronized motion.

"What can we do to help, sir?" one of them managed to ask, his voice trembling.

I sauntered over to one of the chairs and sat down casually, crossing my legs and folding my arms.

My eyes scanned the group, settling on the one who seemed to hold the highest position. He looked slightly older, with a semblance of authority in his posture. Perfect.

"You," I said, pointing at him. "Delete today's CCTV footage. All of them."

The man blinked, his face paling. "Why, sir?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

I stood up abruptly, my chair scraping against the floor, and glared at him.

"You don't need to know why," I barked. "Just do as I say!"

The room fell silent. The guards exchanged nervous glances before the one in charge nodded frantically. "Yes, sir! Right away, sir!"

They scrambled to their stations, fingers flying over keyboards, eyes darting between screens. The sound of rapid typing filled the room as they worked to erase the evidence. I watched them with a satisfied smirk, my arms still folded.
