The normal buildings in this place didn’t have anything at all.

Other than the normal furniture that seemed to be there, it didn’t seem like there was anything else at all.

In fact, it seemed like this place had been completely cleaned out already.

If there was furniture in place like this, then there should have been other things here that were related to the ancient civilization that these ruins came from.

So for them to all disappear, it meant that the Sorcery Empire had already cleaned them out.

Exploring these normal buildings wouldn’t give me any information at all.

I had to find the place where the important information was.

"Let’s head to the next spot. It is where you’ll be training your magic knowledge."

I couldn’t help being surprised by the teachers suddenly saying this.

After all, I thought that they wouldn’t be showing anything related to magic to us in these ruins. I thought that they would at least try to keep the magic knowledge that these ruins contained hidden so I wouldn’t be able to find anything.

But now they were actually leading me right to the place where that magic knowledge was?

I just couldn’t figure out what the Sorcery Empire was planning with this.

With the teachers leading the way, we quickly made our way through the city. At the very least, they seemed like they were very familiar with this place and could lead the way without any problems.

When we arrived, I didn’t know what I was looking at.

That was because this building had a very strange shape that no one could figure out what it was.

"Is this some kind of egg?" I couldn’t help asking in a confused voice.

All around me, the students of the magic academy seemed to have the same look on their faces as I did. It seemed that all of them were seeing this egg like thing for the first time and they didn’t seem to know what this thing was either.

The teachers all had smiles on their faces when they saw this.

It was as if they were amused by the reactions that we showed.

After watching us like this for a bit, the head teacher finally said, "As long as you go in, you’ll understand what we mean."

It wasn’t just me, all of us looked at the head teacher with one brow raised.

It was just that it didn’t seem like he was going to explain himself with the way that he acted.

So in the end…

"How do we open this?" That was the first question that all of us had when we approached the egg thing.

The teachers just went to the sides of the egg like structure and then raised staves that they pointed at the structure. When they released their magic, there was a reaction that came from the egg like structure.

It seemed like it absorbed the magic that they released and then there was an opening that appeared in it.

It was as if the magic was absorbed by the egg like structure, which was why this opening appeared.

Once this opening appeared, the teachers turned back to look at us.

The way that they looked at us was as if they were waiting for us to enter the egg like structure.

The only problem was that there was nothing there inside of the egg like structure.

The only thing that was there in front of us was empty darkness. It really didn’t seem like there was a single thing that was inside of the egg like structure.

It really seemed like there was only the maw of darkness waiting for us.

There wasn’t a single person that stepped forward when they saw this opening in the egg like structure.

Only the teachers didn’t seem like they cared about how everyone thought.

Instead, the head teacher said, "Go on. There’s nothing to worry about, we’ve all been in this place before."

Though he said this, it really didn’t seem reassuring at all.

Still, it didn’t seem like the teachers were going to give up on this matter at all.

So in the end, I was the one that stepped forward.

There was no telling what would happen, but it wasn’t as if they would send us to anywhere dangerous.

After all, if something were to happen to us, then it would be a large international incident.

So there was no way that they would do anything that would put us in danger.

Seeing that I stepped forward, Aisha followed behind me.

Then after her was Ariel, Puffer, and the other sea witches.

All of them trusted me, which was why they followed me into the egg like structure.

Then after a moment of hesitation, the rest of the students also followed me in.

With the way that everyone followed behind me, it really seemed like I was their leader.

It seemed like they would follow me wherever I went.

The only thing was that after entering the egg like structure, the opening that had been behind us suddenly closed and we were thrown into darkness.

It wasn’t a problem since we were magicians and could use flames to light up the area around us. It was just that there wasn’t anything for us to see even though we lit up the entire area with flames.

It wasn’t that this was an empty room with nothing inside of it.

It was that there was only darkness that was around us.

No matter how we tried to cut through it with the light of the flames, it really seemed like there was nothing that the light of the flames could do against the darkness.

Other than darkness, it seemed like there was only darkness.

"The egg like structure shouldn’t be this big in the first place…so why can the light of our flames not cut through this darkness?"

This was the one question that was on everyone’s mind when we saw this.
