With three days remaining before Leon’s duel with Odin, the Tower Master had generously announced that all expenses for the couple’s stay in Sky City would be covered by the Twilight Tower.

Unable to refuse such hospitality, Leon decided to make the most of these days to relax and prepare.

After arriving at their hotel, Leon and Rosvisser changed out of their formal attire into more comfortable clothing. With their meeting with Odin and the Tower Master concluded, they could finally enjoy three full days of private time without worrying about appearances.

Little Muse sat on the soft, oversized bed, her round eyes full of curiosity as she watched her parents changing clothes.

“Leon, should I wear pants or a dress?” Rosvisser asked, holding up a sleek pair of tailored pants in one hand and a cozy white dress in the other.

Leon, busy picking out his own outfit, replied without even looking up, “You’ll look beautiful in anything, dear.”

Rosvisser rolled her eyes, a mix of exasperation and amusement in her voice. “I’m not asking which one looks good on me. I’m asking which one looks better overall.”

“There’s a difference?” Leon asked, finally glancing at her. He realized his mistake immediately. As a seasoned husband, Leon knew that failing to address this properly could escalate into a full-blown “domestic battle.”

“That wasn’t dismissive!” Leon quickly defended himself.

“Oh?” Rosvisser raised an eyebrow. “Then what was it?”

“It’s confidence in you, my queen.”

Her curiosity piqued, she asked, “Confidence? How so?”

“Because whether you choose pants or a dress, you’ll look stunning either way. That’s why I didn’t feel the need to look.”

“Tch, sweet-talking as always.” Rosvisser tossed the pants at Leon, who caught them effortlessly.

“Does this mean you’re wearing the pants?” he asked with a grin.

“No, I’m wearing the dress. Fold the pants and put them back in the bag for me.”

“Got it, dear.”

Rosvisser hummed a happy tune as she changed into the dress, clearly appeased. Leon couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief—dodging an unnecessary argument with just one well-placed compliment.

Once dressed, Leon scooped up Little Muse, and the family headed out to explore the city. The Tower Master had offered them guides, but Leon and Rosvisser politely declined.

For one, the couple preferred to stay low-key and avoid drawing unnecessary attention. For another, it was a rare chance to enjoy some quality time together.

“Come to think of it, it’s been a while since we last went on a proper date,” Leon remarked.

Rosvisser arched a brow, crossing her arms with a playful smirk. “You sound like you’ve been wanting to date me for ages.”

Leon paused mid-step, instantly regretting his words.

He knew full well that Rosvisser, with her sharp wit, could spin any innocent remark into a trap. His “date comment” was practically an invitation for her to tease him.

But to his surprise, Rosvisser walked ahead, her silver tail ⊛ Nоvеlιght ⊛ (Read the full story) swaying slightly as though trying to mask her own bashfulness. Without turning back, she said softly, “I’d like that too, Leon.”

“What?” Leon asked, unsure if he’d heard her correctly.

She stopped and repeated, louder this time, “I said, I’d like to go on a date with you too, you idiot.”

Leon grinned, quickening his pace to walk beside her. He couldn’t help but admire this side of Rosvisser—a softer, more endearing version of her that appeared after each pregnancy. Though it only lasted a few months before her sharp-tongued, confident persona returned, Leon cherished every moment of it.

“You always get so gentle after we have a baby,” Leon commented, a warm smile on his face.

“Really? Then you’d better enjoy it while it lasts,” she teased. “Once I’ve fully recovered, I’ll be back to tormenting you.”

Leon blinked and grinned mischievously. “You know, I just had a bold idea.”

“Oh?” she said, tilting her head. “What idea?”

“Since you’re so gentle after each pregnancy, why don’t we... keep having babies back-to-back?”

“Do you want me to throw you off Sky City right now?” Rosvisser deadpanned.

“There it is—the temper,” Leon joked, laughing as Rosvisser shot him a glare before spotting a nearby baby store.

“Let’s go buy some clothes for Muse,” she said, changing the subject.

“Sure.”

The baby store was filled with everything from Leviathan-inspired strollers to baby claw warmers. Even the pacifiers came in various magical attributes and designs.

“Welcome! Oh, my, what an adorable baby!” the store clerk greeted them warmly, leaning down to coo at Muse.

Muse, far from shy, babbled happily in response, her tiny arms waving excitedly.

“Does the little princess like this?” The clerk held up a colorful rattle and shook it. “It makes a nice ‘dong-dong’ sound when you shake it.”

“Not hing! Not hing!” Muse babbled firmly.

The clerk laughed, undeterred. “Alright, how about this?” She picked up a small, bouncy ball. “You can throw it or kick it around—it’s great for active little ones!”

“Not~ hing~!” Muse declared, waving her arms.

“Still no?” The clerk scratched her head and grabbed a set of puzzle pieces. “What about this? You can use these to create all sorts of shapes!”

“Not hing! Not hing!” Muse insisted.

“Your daughter has quite the discerning taste, sir,” the clerk said with an apologetic smile.

“Sorry about that,” Leon said, chuckling as he gently pinched Muse’s cheek. “She’s obsessed with saying ‘not hing’ lately.”

“I’ll take the rattle, the ball, and the puzzle set,” Leon added. “Could you wrap them up for us?”

“Of course! Anything else you need?” the clerk asked.

“Clothes,” Rosvisser said. “Something simple, not too flashy.”

“Right this way, please.” The clerk led them to the clothing section, where Muse’s responses remained consistent—“Not hing!”—despite her hands lingering on the colorful dresses.

Leon and Rosvisser eventually picked out a few outfits they thought were the best and brought them to the counter.

“How would you like to pay, sir?” the clerk asked.

Leon pulled out a gleaming gold card and handed it over.

The clerk’s eyes widened as she quickly returned it with a respectful bow. “Apologies, sir. I didn’t realize you were guests of the Tower Master.”

“So this card is really that powerful, huh?” Leon mused, mildly impressed.

“As good as meeting the man himself,” Rosvisser quipped, smirking.

The clerk nodded eagerly. “Indeed, sir. This card, issued exclusively by the Twilight Tower, allows unlimited expenses within Sky City.”

“Not bad,” Leon said, pocketing the card. It was shaping up to be the perfect tool for milking the Tower Master’s generosity over the next few days.

After all, if the old man was going to turn Leon’s spar with Odin into a public spectacle, Leon figured he might as well get something out of it.

**“Even exhibitions need to pay their performers.”**
