Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don't Want to Have Any More Children With You-Chapter 87Vol 4. : The Super S-Class Danger
General Leon’s prenatal education methods might be a bit unconventional, but when it came to taking care of his wife during pregnancy, he was nothing short of serious.
A few days after the musical showdown, Leon stumbled across a recipe in a medicinal cookbook for a broth called "Nourishing Spirit Soup."
Since the Silver Dragon Sanctuary lacked a few of the key ingredients, Leon decided to head to a nearby town to buy them himself.
---
Early in the morning, Leon slung his backpack over his shoulder and prepared to leave. As he stepped out of the sanctuary, he ran into Noa returning from her morning training.
“Morning, Dad.”
A white towel hung around her neck as she blinked at the sight of the backpack slung over her father’s shoulder. “Where are you headed with that?”
“Oh, just off to buy some medicinal herbs. Your mom’s getting some soup.”
“You could just have the maids buy them,” Noa suggested.
Leon scratched his temple, thought for a moment, and then replied, “Noa, some things are worth doing personally. If I sent the maids to buy the herbs, I might as well have them make the soup and serve it to your mom too, don’t you think?”
With one hand gripping the strap of his backpack, he reached out with the other to ruffle Noa’s hair.
“I just want to do something for your mom. Sitting around waiting for others to handle everything isn’t really my style.”
It was true—Leon could easily delegate this entire task. But what would be the point? Anyone could make the soup, anyone could buy the ingredients, but no one could match Leon’s personal care and concern for Rosvisser.
Love and thoughtfulness filled the gaps in their otherwise ordinary days, and Leon didn’t find the effort bothersome in the least.
Feeling the warmth of her father’s hand, Noa nodded thoughtfully. After a moment, she said, “Wait for me, Dad. I’ll be right back.”
With that, she bounded up the stairs and disappeared into the sanctuary.
Leon was a little confused but stood patiently at the door. Not long after, Noa returned.
She had changed out of her training gear and into casual clothes fit for a trip out. To his surprise, she also carried a small backpack of her own.
“What’s this about?” Leon asked.
“I’m coming with you to buy the herbs and help make the soup for Mom.”
Noa rarely showed interest in anything beyond training and studying, and she was so excited that her little tail swished behind her. Since Helena, Moon, and Aurora weren’t home today, Leon figured it wouldn’t hurt to bring his eldest daughter along.
He smiled and nodded. “Alright, let’s go surprise your mom together.”
“Yay!”
---
The father-daughter duo left the sanctuary and headed toward the tribe’s main area. Leon carried a checklist, not only of the ingredients for the soup but also some additional supplements he wanted to stock up on during the trip.
Noa noticed the first item on the list: apples.
“Dad, don’t we already have apples at home? Why buy more?”
“Your mom says the ones at home don’t taste good.”
Noa frowned. For some reason, her dad’s response felt... suspicious, as if he was hiding something.
“But the apples we have are imported from the south. They’re delicious!”
Leon hesitated for a moment before brushing it off. “Let’s not dwell on it. Let’s just go.”
As they set off, Leon couldn’t help but shudder at the memory of Rosvisser’s cravings during her pregnancy with Aurora. She had used her status as a pregnant woman to boss him around, effortlessly alternating between unreasonable demands and pitifully cute whining.
One night, she suddenly declared she wanted an apple. Leon fetched one for her.
Then she said it needed to be peeled. Leon peeled it.
Then she claimed it didn’t taste good. Leon got her another.
When she opened her mouth to complain again, Leon stuffed the apple right into it.
But that was far from the end of it. Over the next few days, Rosvisser found endless excuses to make him peel apples—always in the middle of the night.
If he refused?
“Oh, refusing is fine. I’ll just kick you out of bed.”
If he argued back?
“Go ahead, argue. I’ll unleash the full power of a pregnant woman’s tears and tantrums. Let’s see how long you last.”
With such traumatic experiences fresh in his mind, Leon resolved to buy every variety of apple available, just in case Rosvisser decided to nitpick again.
After checking apples off the list, Noa peered at the next item: *Jade Dew Dragonfruit.*
“Oh, my teacher said this is a very nourishing fruit, but it’s super rare. I don’t think our Silver Dragon Valley has ever grown it.”
“That was true in the past, but not anymore,” Leon replied confidently.
Noa blinked her large eyes. “What do you mean, Dad?”
“After Aurora was born, I arranged for a secret team to cultivate Jade ✪ Nоvеlіgһt ✪ (Official version) Dew Dragonfruit. Three years have passed since then, so they should be ripe by now.”
Noa gave her dad a thumbs-up. “Dad, you’re a visionary!”
“Visionary?” Leon laughed wryly. “More like I’ve learned to plan ahead to avoid future disasters.”
Years ago, when Rosvisser was pregnant with Aurora, Leon had gone to great lengths to acquire a single Jade Dew Dragonfruit. He even entered a competition in Sky City for it, battling his way through every round to reach the final stage—only to be humiliated by a fiery-tempered red dragon named Isa.
Though he eventually obtained the fruit, the ordeal left him battered and bruised, both physically and emotionally.
From that moment on, Leon swore to never rely on others for such things again. He had the dragonfruit cultivated himself, knowing he’d need it someday.
---
Leon led Noa to a secluded area on the outskirts of the tribe’s territory, an ideal spot for farming. Many crops grown by the Silver Dragon tribe were planted here.
“The dragonfruit orchard is just ahead. Let’s go, Noa.”
“Okay!” Noa quickened her pace, excitement gleaming in her eyes. She had only ever read about Jade Dew Dragonfruit in textbooks and couldn’t wait to see the real thing.
However, just as the two approached the orchard, the ground began to tremble violently.
Leon immediately steadied Noa, holding her shoulders to keep her from falling.
The tremors grew stronger, and soon the entire area was shaking.
“What’s happening? Are we under attack?” Leon asked, his voice tense.
Before anyone could answer, a group of Silver Dragon villagers came sprinting toward them from the direction of the orchard.
The leader, upon seeing Leon, rushed forward as if clutching at salvation. “Your Highness! Your Highness! It’s a danger beast!”
Leon frowned. He knew the Silver Dragons’ combat prowess. Even farmers among them could handle A-Class danger beasts with ease. For them to be panicked like this, the beast must be something truly terrifying.
“Calm down and explain. What kind of danger beast?”
“A... a Super S-Class danger beast. A Six-Winged Dragonhawk.”
“Super S-Class...”
Before Leon could fully process this information, a massive shadow emerged from the orchard, soaring into the sky.
The creature was enormous, its six wings blotting out the sun as its screech echoed across the heavens. The wind from its wings sent powerful gusts their way, forcing Leon to shield Noa in his arms.
When the wind subsided, Leon turned to look at the Six-Winged Dragonhawk.
In its beak, it held an entire Jade Dew Dragonfruit tree.
