Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 698 - 697: Task
The Timeless Artisan's roar across the Central City of Sin, and Corey who was far away also heard it through his Ears of Omniscience.
He glanced in the direction of the Timeless Artisan and a small smile appeared on his lips. He turned to his left and then he jumped into an abandoned building.
Corey exhaled softly as he sat on the floor while stilling using Breath of Omniscience to absorb every trace of his presence and Infinite Mirage to hide himself.
"Luckily for me, I had already scouted this place in advance and knew that a place like this existed in the Central Area of the City of Sin."
"I guess I'll just have to wait for some time." freeωebnovēl.c૦m
As Corey said these words, his U-Watch beeped and Corey glanced at it before tapping the surface.
A hologram of Divine appeared above the U-Watch, and a light subtle smile could not help but creep into Corey's lips when he saw Divine's frustrated and angry expression.
"Divine."
Corey raised his brows and a vein appeared on Divine's left temple.
{Divine? Divine? Don't you dare Divine me and tell me if you're the bloody culprit of the Supreme Tribulation and the Shattered Sky?!}
Divine's voice resounded from the U-Watch, and Corey pushed his U-Watch away from him a little.
"What Supreme Tribulation? What Shattered Sky?"
Corey asked with a confused expression, and a second later the hologram became hazy. Corey knew exactly why, and he could not help but shake his head and speak with a baffled tone and expression.
"Why are you so angry, Divine? You're going to burn your U-Watch again and the Underworld is going to be forced to renew it."
{Shut the fuck up, you crazy and abnormally powerful bastard!}
{Why the fuck won't I be angry?!}
{Your value after the Battle of Chosens became stupidly high and I would definitely not be able to afford you.}
{And now, you fucking go out and decide to summon a Tribulation and not just any fucking Tribulation, a bloody freaking Supreme Tribulation.}
{Summoning a freaking Supreme Tribulation is already absurd, crazy, incomprehensible, and should not be freaking possible in the Underworld and even a newly ascended Blessed World like yours. Supreme Tribulations are usually summoned when something crucial that can affect the entire bloody freaking and fucking Universe happens!}
{Fine, you bloody summoned a Supreme Tribulation. Fine!}
{But you bloody insane bastard decided that a Supreme Tribulation was not enough for you. You decided to destroy the freaking Sky of the Underworld?!?!?!?!}
{WHYYYYYYY?!?!?!?!?!}
{Why can't you be fucking normal and not give me a bloody heart attack for once?!}
{Is that too much to ask for you bastard?!}
Corey stared at the hologram with slightly wide eyes. His violet-blue eyes reflected the image of Divine breathing heavily with flames of anger and frustration blazing around his body.
Corey blinked, and then he tilted his head to the side slightly.
"But I didn't do anything, Divine."
Snap!
Corey heard something in Divine, and he swore that he could feel the rage and killing intent that was being emitted from Divine through the hologram.
With a slightly strained chuckle, Corey waved his hand at Divine.
"Later, Divine. We'll talk later. I'm busy."
{Wait! You basta-!}
Beep
Corey cut the call, and then he shook his head with a chuckle.
"If you want to blame anybody Divine, blame my dick."
Sigh
Corey sighed, and then he rested his back on the wall behind him.
His U-Watch rang once again but Corey put it on silent, and closed his eyes with a slight smile.
"Hopefully I don't have to stay here for too long."
Corey mumbled softly, and about ten seconds of silence passed before Corey's eyes snapped open.
"Shit! I was completely focused on trying to make sure that nobody finds out that I'm the culprit behind the Supreme Tribulation and the shattering of the Sky of the Underworld to the point that I forgot the main reason all of this happened."
"I need to give Lydia the Maiden's Breath Pill no matter what. I'm not ready to be a father."
Corey quickly tapped his U-Watch and a hologram appeared before him. He went into his contact list and quickly called Selene and Kiefer at the same time.
{Master?}
Both Selene and Kiefer answered the call at the same time and responded at the same time, and for a moment, they were both stunned.
However, Corey did not care about any of this. He looked at the holographic image of both Selene and Kiefer with a solemn expression.
"I'm going to assign a task to both of you."
At the mention of the word 'task', Selene and Kiefer became solemn and listened attentively.
"I'm going to send a package to you, Selene. The package is going to have a pill and an elixir in it. After collecting the package, you'll meet Divine and ask him for the location of a woman named Lydia."
"After getting the location, go to her and give her the package. Tell her that you're from a man called Corey and she should not be wary around you after you say that."
"After giving her the package, tell her that the liquid in the vial is to make her health better and the pill is to make sure that there are no consequences to her body from our previous meeting."
"You must, and I repeat, you MUST make sure that she takes the pill and the elixir. Most especially the pill."
"This task is of paramount importance. Do you understand me?"
Selene and Kiefer nodded, and Corey nodded in approval.
"Good. I'll send the package to you, Selene."
{Alright Master.}
"Make sure the two of you complete this task no matter what."
Corey paused, and then a thought appeared in his mind and he furrowed his brows slightly.
"If by chance, it becomes dangerous for you guys. Abandon the task and save yourself. Your lives matter more than the task."
"Have you heard?"
{Yes, Master.}
Corey nodded, and then he ended the call.
