While Divine was battling Melissa and the Black Mandate members, Corey used the opportunity to heal his body, observe the environment, analyze the formation, observe Divine, Melissa, and the members of the Black Mandate.

When he did this, he realized a few things.

First of all, the array that was being used on the Neon Headquarters was not only an anti-mana array, it also sealed the space around them, prevented the usage of fire and ice elemental energies, and was also an illusion array that prevented anybody from seeing or even perceiving the battle that was occurring in the Headquarters of Neon.

At the moment of the ambush, Corey had tried to react to the rain of bullets, however, the sudden disappearance of the mana in his surroundings caused a severe backlash that would have crippled most.

Because of his Celestial Mana Veins, he was able to deal with the backlash, however, that brief disruption was enough for him to be attacked by a rain of bullets without being able to defend himself.

When he realized that there was no mana in his surroundings, he was surprised that such a thing was possible because he had never read or heard of a formation or somebody being able to nullify mana.

He thought he was going to die because mana was the source of power of every evolved being, and without it, the usage of skills was impossible.

However, when he had this thought, he suddenly realized some things through his Stars of Consciousness.

First of all, he did not need the mana of the world to use his skills. With his Infinity Crystals, the mana of the world was not necessary for him.

When Corey realized this, he suddenly recalled that his body never absorbed mana from his surroundings whenever he was replenishing his mana.

Instead, he would obtain more mana from his Infinity Crystals.

This discovery was something that baffled and is still baffling Corey till today because it made no sense.

His Infinity Crystals were his mana core, and for a normal mana core, whenever it was empty, it absorbed mana from the world.

However, whenever Corey depleted or used out of his mana, he replenished his lost mana with the mana from his 'empty' mana core.

It was extremely baffling to Corey, and this was one of the mysteries of the Infinity Crystals he had not yet uncovered till now.

Although the fact that he could use his skills with just the mana of his Infinity Crystals was good news for him, that was when he was being shot at by Melissa.

Also, using only the mana of his Infinity Crystals was shockingly not as easy as it seemed especially with how severe his injuries were.

Another discovery that Corey made early on was that it was only mana and the elements- fire and ice, that were nullified by the array.

Other forms of energy were not nullified.

This meant that he could use the abilities of a Walker of Dreams and Nightmares with his Dream and Nightmare Essence or spiritual energy, and not his mana.

It was because of this that Corey was able to heal himself despite his extremely severe injuries.

He also realized that he used his void force in the array, and this discovery pleased him.

He observed Divine and he knew that Divine was a wreck internally. It was extremely surprising to him that Divine was even able to handle such potent energy.

Although he was extremely curious about the energy since it was something he had no idea of, what he wanted the most was for Divine to not die and to last till his body had healed to a point where he'd be able to fight.

However, something he never expected happened.

Divine slaughtered the members of the Black Mandate like they were chickens.

He was faster, stronger, had supreme control over his attacks, and was also extremely precise with his attacks.

Even as Divine fought, the ice cube he had used to protect Corey from the attacks of the members of the Black Mandate was still around him, shielding him from the shockwaves and the attacks themselves.

A thought came to his mind, and he looked in the direction of Fatty Black Bonez, Rosa, Dave, and Triple X.

To his relief, he saw that they were also encased in ice, and unlike his which emitted no cold but warmth, theirs emitted cold.

Corey raised his brows when he saw this, but his attention was quickly drawn back to Divine's battle with the members of the Black Mandate.

All the members of the Black Mandate were dead, and Corey watched as Divine approached Melissa with a cold and determined light that contained the light of a raging fury in their depths.

Despite the severe injuries and damage in Divine's body, Corey saw him taking calm steps without showing any sign of pain.

Just as Divine launched his spear at Melissa, he saw Melissa bring out a talisman that contained void force, and Corey instantly knew that Melissa planned on escaping.

His body flickered out of existence, and then in the blink of an eye, he appeared at the edge of the barrier of the array, and then he grabbed at the empty hair with his hands emitting a dark grey light.

"And where do you think you're going?"

Corey's cold voice echoed, and he heard a gasp of immense shock, disbelief, and horror before the space in front of his hand rippled.

Melissa appeared in front of him with her neck in Corey's tight grip.

"H-"

She tried to speak but Corey tightened his grip on her neck, preventing her from speaking, and then with an indifferent expression he performed an acupuncture sealing technique with his finger.

'That should prevent her from making any sudden moves for a minute at most.'

Corey watched as Melissa's eyes shook in pure disbelief as her fusion with Boros was forcibly terminated.

"You- You're okay?"

Divine's surprise and relieved voice drifted into Corey's ears, and Corey looked at him with a light smile.
