Son of the Hero King-Chapter 711: Old Father or New Father?
Chapter 711: Old Father or New Father?
After Nidhogg and Siegfried left the premises, Sol emerged out of a swirling portal, right in the location where the father-daughter pair were having a heart-to-heart of sorts not long ago. A contemplative expression was etched on his handsome face, pondering the scenario.
After his discussion with the goddess, Sol made sure to return to Jasmine and Satella. He was planning to spend some more time with the two sexy elves with contrasting aspects to them in their residence.
Sending an avatar of his to observe Nidhogg had just been a coincidence, if anything, but as always, his luck helped him catch onto something that could only be described as impressive, mind-boggling even.
Everyone has been underestimating Siegfried. Myself included.
This was a good reminder that despite his powers, aspects, abilities, and contingencies, he was still far from reaching the true level of omniscience— of truly being aware of everything in existence, at least for the universe he resided in, at least.
Siegfried had been hiding his fangs and sharpening his claws for over a thousand years. Though it was true that he was facing a wall, barring him from the demigod realm, his case was totally different from Satella's.
Truly, what an interesting pair of siblings.
His visit to Southern Pride had been filled with many twists and surprises, however, he did not expect Siegfried of all people to give him the biggest surprise of all.
Yet, now was not the time to ponder deeply about this new variable. There were more pressing matters on his hands.
“How troubling.” He could not help but mutter under his breath. The group or cult Siegfried mentioned was an organization he had heard of for the very first time. Despite having relations with the three mortal demigods of the Mortal Realm, he was still not aware of this group. It was a sobering thought.

If even they had no information about them, just who would?
Sol could see why Siegfried had a hard time believing in this. In the first place, this world was ruled by the fourteen sibling goddesses and the Two Mother goddesses. Why would anyone create a cult around a Father when the two mother goddesses already exist? For normal people, this simply made no sense.
For normal people, that is.
“Old Father… This is exactly what I am thinking about, isn’t it?” Sol asked to no one in particular. But one voice still replied from inside him.
{It should be impossible. In the first place, I never needed worship or Faith. I never proclaimed myself as a Father either.} Adam seemed to be just as puzzled as Sol was about the whole matter. And it confused Sol even more. freewebnøvel.coɱ
“Ugh. I hate this. I thought the Mortal Realm had no more secrets left for me, and yet I get proven wrong every time.”
{It’s the heart of my universe after all. So, what are you going to do about that Cult?}
“For now. There's not much I can do. While Siegfried was talking, I tried looking into the Karma connection. After all, if they are the cause behind the death of Jupiter and perhaps even Mars, there should be a deep Karma Blood Debt between us, and yet I find nothing.”
This was utterly vexing. Yet once again, there was not much he could do at the moment outside of asking Ambrosia if she had any inkling about this matter.
However, if even Ambrosia had no information about this, then—
“It seems like I will have to hurry up some of my plans. If some secret organization is messing around, I need to show them that I do not intend to play their game.” His expression became cold and unfeeling. The Wings of Freedom were more than enough pain he was willing to take on his plate.
Sol thought for a moment before shrugging and started slowly repairing the surroundings. The short combat between Nidhogg and Siegfried had been devastating for the nature around here, and he would feel bad if some random passerby died because of the poison in the air.
While healing the surroundings, he thought back to his discussion with Jasmine. Before he left her to sleep, she told him to visit someone at least, and it might be time.
{You seem pretty calm.}
“Oh, I am definitely not calm. Not in the least. But at this point, unexpected events are common for me. Speaking about it. Since you are most likely the so-called Old Father. Should I call myself the New Father?” Giggling to himself, Sol asked Adam with a mischievous smirk.
{Humph! How could a coward who has yet to have a kid of his own dare to speak about becoming a Father to me?}
“Ouch. I have to admit. This was a painful comeback.” Sol sighed and entered his dimension. Now was not the time to have children.
He knew that they would only be additional weaknesses for him on the journey ahead. He could not afford to add more targets to protect when his potential enemies kept growing in number and power like this.
Making promises for the future about having children was like one of the biggest Death Flags to ever exist in all of reality, and he did not want to trigger it. His lovers were definitely getting impatient and wished for more. But things would come in time.
For now, though, he only had one last visit to make before wrapping up his holiday.
