Sorcerer: I want to be an Academic Prodigy-Chapter 694 - 655 Discussing Philosophy While Seated_2
In truth, this wasn’t his first time doing this. He had previously debated power many times alongside Jenny and Locke, and was extremely familiar with the process.
As he delivered his lecture, others listened and nodded frequently in agreement.
"I’ll go second. I mainly wish to discuss the powers of wind, thunder, and soul with you all," said the King of the Long Sky as he stepped forward after the lecture ended.
Sorcerers all cultivate the path of the soul, though due to differences in understanding, the soul powers they mastered varied significantly.
Once the King of the Long Sky completed his demonstration, the others did not hold back, taking everything with utmost seriousness.
In that moment, everyone forgot about anything else, pouring their entire focus into comprehending power. Only after everyone had presented their insights did they slowly return to their senses, and even then, much time had passed.
"To think, two whole months have passed."
"When is the next gathering?"
When everyone finally came to, they realized two months had already gone by.
Without a doubt, this discussion of power had greatly benefited everyone. The Dragon Flame King even directly voiced the thoughts he had been keeping in his heart.
"This first time was too rushed, and I’ve only shared a fraction of what I wanted to discuss with all of you," said the Dragon Flame King as others cast their gazes toward him.
"How about one year from now?"
"Agreed."
It became evident that these debates were an effective way to enhance one’s strength, with indisputable results. No one opposed the idea anymore, and some even seemed eager for the next session.
A year later, the six secretly held a second debate session.
This time, they also delved deeper into the treasures under their control, focusing on artifacts like the Ember Furnace, Wisewell, Thunder Pool, Nine-layered Breeze Tower, and the greatest formation of sorcerers—the Witch King Multiple Forms Array.
Having gone through numerous experiences together, their bond was anything but ordinary. Each participant sincerely shared their knowledge during the discussion, and the results were as impactful as expected.
When ascending to the Azure Throne, the King of the Long Sky once remarked that he would only need three years of preparation.
However, the frequent debates caused him to repeatedly delay his preparations. By the time he’d finally bid farewell to his companions to seclude himself and strive for the throne realm, an entire decade had passed.
"My five fellow cultivators, I entrust the sorcerer world to you."
"Galif, don’t worry about anything else. May you ascend to the throne soon."
The King of the Long Sky chose the Golden Rock Tower as his retreat location. Beyond a handful of Void Kings who came to witness the occasion, no other sorcerer had any knowledge of it.
"When should the fifth debate happen?"
"We’ve exchanged insights so many times already. Perhaps it’s time to hold off for a bit—say, five years from now."
"That makes sense."
With each session of debate, new insights and growth followed. The Void King sorcerers had all grown significantly stronger.
However, the newfound knowledge gleaned this time required time for digestion. If it weren’t for the fact that the Black Flame King was also nearing the critical moment of his ascension to the throne, they might have extended the interval before the next discussion even further.
...
Over the years, Ivan’s soul power had already advanced to the very limits of the Void King level, leaving no further room for improvement. Instead, he began focusing on enhancing other areas.
Just as he was tirelessly exploring his path to the throne, he unexpectedly received an invitation.
After some deliberation, he decided to accept.
That day, he and Jenny used the teleportation array to arrive on the first underground level. The teleportation array there was situated in Vermilion Bird Valley, a human settlement he himself had once led the team to establish.
"Who’s here already?"
"Quite a few—lords and Ancient Kings alike. So far, no one stronger has shown up."
The two didn’t linger in Vermilion Bird Valley and instead hurried toward the deeper underground.
This gathering actually belonged to the Mother of Earth Core’s lineage. Ivan had no idea why they invited him; such invitations were unprecedented in previous years.
Jenny wasn’t sure of the reason either, only that the Dark Night Mother Goddess Lilabet had ordered it.
The Dark Night Mother Goddess held an immensely important status within the Earth Core lineage. Having helped Jenny countless times, her involvement made it difficult for Ivan to refuse this mysterious invitation.
Thus, the two arrived at this place.
Guided by Jenny, they traversed various paths and soon reached a special location.
"Is this a teleportation?"
"A traversal using the power of earth as the medium."
Within a hidden valley, Jenny utilized a form of traversal distinct from the teleportation array. The radiance of the earth enveloped the two, and moments later, their figures disappeared from sight.
Earth traversal resembled a form of ground escape, capable of traversing immense distances as well. Clearly, this was a technique left behind by a major figure from the Earth Core lineage.
Moments later, they exited an amber-hued passage, only to find themselves in an entirely different location.
This was a place akin to a secret realm. Ivan’s first impression was one of heightened magnetism and gravity; the vast surroundings seemed desolate, save for a towering mountain reaching toward the sky. Midway up the mountain, pavilions and palaces were faintly visible.
That was the site of the gathering.
As they approached, they noticed that the mountainside buildings were divided into three tiers—upper, middle, and lower. Under the dim radiance, these tiers appeared distinct and layered.
"The upper, middle, and lower levels correspond to lords, Ancient Kings, and thrones, respectively. I’ll wait inside a hall at the middle level, where the Dark Night Mother Goddess will summon us," Jenny explained.
"You know this place better than I. I’ll follow your lead," Ivan replied.
The buildings on the mountainside were constructed in a circular configuration around the peak, with the three levels essentially unconnected. The distances between them were relatively short, making them appear as though stacked.
As Jenny said, many had arrived ahead of schedule.
A cursory glance revealed over a hundred figures at the lord level. Clearly, even though the Earth Core lineage was no longer at its prime, its heritage surpassed that of ordinary races.
The two descended to a middle-level palace. The spacious palace resembled an indoor arena, and inside were about a dozen other figures, many retaining their primordial appearances.
"King of Spear Plate, is this the human sorcerer you’ve allied with? Why bring him here?"
Their arrival drew frowns from some, notably the Fire Blue King Grace, who approached to voice her and others’ concerns about this outsider.
"This was upon Lady Lilabet’s instructions," Jenny answered truthfully.
"If it’s an order from the Dark Night Mother Goddess, there’s no issue. Welcome to Lonely Mountain Residence, human sorcerer," Grace said with a smile.
By then, Ivan had learned that King of Spear Plate was Jenny’s Ancient King title, announced some time ago, though he wasn’t sure who proposed it.
Hearing their exchange, the others withdrew their attention and resumed their quiet discussions.
"Greetings. I’ve heard Jenny mention you," Ivan said politely, as he indeed knew that Grace governed the powers of both ice and fire.
Jenny and Grace appeared to share a friendly rapport.
The two conversed enthusiastically. Ivan chose not to intrude, and none of the Ancient King-level beings present were ones to cause scenes unnecessarily or act brashly.
Ivan contentedly observed from a distance.
Before long, he sensed the arrival of several formidable presences from above, among which was a familiar aura—an old acquaintance. frёewebnoѵēl.com
"Sorcerer Ivan, Lady Lilabet has summoned us upwards,"
About half an hour later, Jenny received a summons from the Dark Night Mother Goddess.
The two didn’t dare delay and promptly ascended higher. As they climbed, the gravitational and magnetic pressures intensified, but neither was deterred.
The topmost level resembled an imperial garden.
Following instructions, they landed at the center of a Flower Square.
"Sorcerer Ivan, over here! It has been far too long—I’ve missed you dearly."
Before they even approached, an enthusiastic figure called out to Ivan. The speaker, looking like a humanoid tree and exuding a commanding presence, was none other than the newly proclaimed Azure Throne—Meg.
Meg’s overtly warm manner caught Ivan slightly off guard.
Besides Meg, there were five other figures at or above the throne level, including the familiar Dark Night Mother Goddess Lilabet and Sea Mother Blai Bu, whom Jenny had spoken of many times.
As Meg greeted Ivan warmly, all eyes turned to him, making him feel an immense sense of pressure.
Indeed, the Earth Core Vein’s heritage was truly formidable.
