Mei Gongzi gently tugged on his sleeve, and the once stern expression of the White Tiger Demon Emperor softened slightly. He sighed softly and said, "I was too stubborn back then, and it caused your mother so much suffering. I should have gone to find her sooner, but what kind of man admits he's wrong? Still, I regret it. Do you know what Tang San said that moved me the most? It wasn't about immortality. It was about our family being together. You two are the only real family I have left—just you and your mother. Everyone else is unimportant. And the older I get, the more I crave the comfort of family. When you return to Kali City, tell your mother that the stubborn old man isn't so stubborn anymore. Ask her to come back and see me."
