Chapter 66: Bloodline of the Titan

[Ding! Zero has accepted the blessing.]

[Ding! A bond has been forged through the blood pact, and Zero has become your second Bloodbound follower.]

[Ding! He has received Minor Blessing. All his stats are increased by 50]

[Ding! The stronger the blessing, the stronger the bond and the influence. Bloodline stabilization is required before altering the grade of the blessing.]

[Ding! Zero has awakened a hidden bloodline, Bloodline of the Titan.]

Damon was surprised. So Mark had a bloodline after all. He was just about to ask Mark about it when he himself spoke up. "Hey take a look at this. I have awakened something called a Titan Bloodline."

Blood Reign immediately chimed in. "What? Damon, can you confirm? Did that useless person actually have a titan bloodline? It’s impossible!"

Damon smiled. "He is not useless and yes, he does have the bloodline." He mentally responded to her. freeweɓnovel.cѳm

Blood Reign shrieked in excitement. "Kyaaaa! You have really lucked out this time! Do you know how rare this is? Outside of their clan, titan bloodline is almost non-existent. The kind of raw physical strength the bloodline gives is unrivalled! You have chosen the perfect person to become your follower! You have an incredible foresight."

Damon did not respond to the woman. She was flip flopping faster than a politician and she was not done.

"If you combine this with your blessing and support, your friend’s rise to power will be astronomical! More importantly, when he sires biological descendents, you can farm as many descendents as want until you extract all of the beneficial bloodline abilities."

What the hell was this lunatic talking about? Did she just ask him to kill Mark’s kids and farm them for abilities?

Blood Reign’s tone was bubbling with excitement. It was like she was just talking about something that normally happens.

’Sure, I will get right on that.’ Damon sarcastically replied to the woman and shifted his attention to Mark. "How are you feeling? Did you get any special skills or any other special conditions?" Damon asked, thinking about his own personal death sentence waiting for him at the end of 30 days.

"Yes, I got a skill." Mark nodded, sharing his skill screen with Damon.

[Titan’s Bulwark] – Passive Skill (Bloodline Skill), Level 1

Your body resonates with the will of ancient giants. Increases maximum HP by 100%, grants +30% resistance to all physical damage, and makes you immune to knockback effects below your tier. When your HP falls below 30%, gain a temporary +50 Strength for 10 seconds. Cooldown: 90 seconds.

Kate also stared in shock. She already knew that Mark would do something like this eventually but she didn’t think he would be so decisive with his actions. "Good job, bro." She punched him lightly on the shoulder, though it probably hurt her more than it hurt him now.

"Remind me never to piss you off again. You’ve officially gone from my adorable dork brother to a juggernaut I need to bribe with snacks."

Damon, though, was still staring at the skill screen, brows slightly furrowed. "This... this is no joke," he muttered. "At full potential, this alone could make you frontline a boss raid without blinking. And it’s only level one?"

Mark grinned. "There’s also this active one. Just unlocked it."

Another window appeared:

[Titan’s Tremor] – Active Skill (Bloodline Skill), Level 1

Strike the ground with the force of an ancient behemoth. Creates a shockwave in a 10-meter radius, dealing AoE damage equal to 200% of your Strength and stunning enemies for 3 seconds. Structures and terrain in the radius take minor environmental damage. Cooldown: 45 seconds.

Kate’s jaw dropped. "This is simply too overpowered!"

Mark shrugged with mock modesty. "It’s nothing much."

"This is so unfair. How come I did not have any of these bloodline abilities? I bet mom and dad secretly adopted you. They definitely picked you up from the local dustbin." Kate nodded her head definitively.

Mark smiled and just patted her. "You are such an idiot."

"You both are idiots." Damon sighed. It looked like finally everything was sorted out. "Let’s go to the vampire base. I want Kate to improve her levels as soon as possible. Maybe that will help in her getting healed quicker in the outside world."

Kate’s teasing grin slipped at the mention of the real world. She rubbed her stomach subconsciously, where her body had ached just days ago in the hospital. "Right. My body’s still technically recovering out there, huh? I might or might not even wake up."

Damon gave a slight nod. "Your condition might’ve stabilized, but you’re still not in the clear. If we can raise your level and evolve your class fast enough, maybe the transformation can speed up the healing process in both worlds."

Mark nodded seriously.

Damon had already purchased the vampire charms for the duo from another shop in Garth city run by a known vampire NPC. He handed them the charms and the two of them equipped it immediately.

Thanks to the increased stats, the duo were able to easily match Damon’s speed and they were in the city area in no time. Starting with this many stat points was simply ridiculous. Even though Damon would probably outshine them in the future, it would require a lot of hardwork on his part. On the other hand, these two got an instant power up right from the get-go.

Good. If anybody deserved an easy life, it was these two. Between their absent mother and their abusive father, he knew how bad these two had it.

Damon fished out gold coins for the teleportation and the three of them finally arrived in Niera city.

However, the small city was no longer as quiet and calm as it used to be. The amount of divine temple and holy church players had once again increased in the city area and the nearby forests.

Players in gleaming white robes and radiant armor strolled the cobbled streets, pretending to browse vendors, but their eyes were sharp and scanning. They were like little insects crawling everywhere in the city.
