SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God-Chapter 76: Siege Event Completed

"Oh my! You really do have such a potty mouth!" Blood Reign giggled nonstop in Damon’s head as he continued to kite the knight around like some oversized raid boss. The weapon spirit was clearly having the time of her life.

"Isn’t there any way you could be useful right now? Just think about that," Damon growled back under his breath, not slowing down for even a second.

On the outside, he looked calm and confident, casually dodging attacks and taunting the enemy like none of this was a big deal. But inside, he was pushing himself to the absolute limit. One wrong step, one small mistake, and his head would be rolling—and with it, the entire siege would be lost. He was the only thing standing between victory and total collapse.

The seconds crawled by. Slowly, the battlefield emptied. Only a handful of players remained. The siege timer was nearly up, and the glowing red barriers around the zone were starting to fade into transparency. Streams across the net were flooded with live footage of the fight.

Damon stayed sharp. With so many eyes on him, now wasn’t the time to reveal any trump cards. He debated dismissing his shadow clone to conserve mana and keep his secret, but the very next attack from Elias shaved off 20% of his health in one clean arc.

Yeah. No.

Winning came first.

Damon grit his teeth and popped a Minor Heal, the warm pulse of light immediately clashing with the shadow energy wrapped around him. It felt weird, like pouring holy water over a demon’s skin, but the health bar ticked up all the same. He had no idea how he was able to use Minor Heal when he did not have an ounce of divine or holy energy.

Elias charged again. Damon dodged with a tight Shadowstep, barely clearing the knight’s sword as it gouged a trench in the stone beside him. Pebbles rained down around him as he reappeared behind a broken wall.

Then the system message came:

Damon’s eyes narrowed. One minute. He just had to survive one more minute. But Elias wasn’t going to make that easy.

The holy knight raised his blade to the sky. A pillar of divine light shot down, wrapping around his body in burning gold. Damon cursed. "Shit, he’s buffing."

[Warning: NPC Elias Dorne has activated "Sanctified Wrath" – All attacks deal double damage. Armor Penetration increased by 60%. Cooldown: 5 minutes.]

Damon dashed out from cover, ducking a slash that would’ve torn him in two, and started sprinting toward the last pocket of surviving Light players.

The group of players started scampering, running towards the knight. By now everyone was painfully aware of the strategy Damon was using and yet there was little they could do about it. It was like they were playing dodgeball and death was coming for them but they simply couldn’t do anything about it.

However, the few survivors were a little more skilled than the others. They quickly changed their positions and stood behind the knight. They have survived until now following a strategy and were not about to change it now.

"You cannot kill us Blood God!" One shouted.

They were right behind the golden knight and if Damon used shadowstep to sneak attack, then he would get caught in the trap first. They were also buffing Elias. The situation was a win-win. There was no way for Blood God to end this siege in under a minute. Maybe they could even try for a draw?

At this point, a draw felt a huge win!

The few players stood with unwavering determination. They got this.

However, right at that moment, the player standing on the right dropped dead, his health plummeting to zero and his body going up in flames. Elias immediately changed direction and charged at Damon who was now standing in the other direction away from the group.

The remaining 9 players couldn’t keep up with the knight’s speed and fell back. The shadow clone used this opportunity and took out one and Damon also appeared to take out another two in rapid succession. In a matter of seconds only 6 more players remained.

But there was only 30 seconds left in the timer.

"Ok. I need to speed this up." Without hesitation, Damon activated Earthquake and then pushed his innate enhancement to the maximum. Elias was once again charging towards him at high speed but Damon’s speed was nothing to joke about.

He used mana wildly without any concern and threw daggers at two of the players while personally taking care of two more of them. One tried to run away to make himself a difficult target but the shadow clone appeared and took care of that player.

With just 5 seconds remaining and the Golden Knight’s sword almost hanging above his head, Damon finally ended the life of that last player.

"Fuck ya!" Damon shouted. The knight froze.

The glowing red barrier around the battlefield cracked and vanished into thin air, followed by a moment of dead silence. Then came the roar of the system notifications flooding every player’s screen across Earth Online.
