Star Gate-Chapter 1126: Massacre (II)

In the void.

Li Hao had captured the ideal battle timing. He didn’t yell, rage, or roar his intentions. Instead, the young man simply struck with a single sword stroke. It was different from his fight with Earthflare in that this blow contained his aura, mental strength, life force, and everything about him...

Just like the Sword Sovereign!

There was no return after his sword was unsheathed! Either the enemy died or he died.

Li Hao had consumed endless mental strength when killing the peach tree; it’d taken two strokes to end the plant spirit. Thankfully, the tree left behind a large reserve of Immortal strength and Water of Life. Li Hao was much recovered after absorbing it.

However, he didn’t choose to separate his stroke into two. Instead, he deployed everything he had through that one stroke alone!

Han Jiang was stronger than Earthflare!

Li Hao had failed to kill Earthflare with one move in their battle; there had been a bit left of his enemy after that first blow. How would he show any mercy against Han Jiang now?

A sword pierced through the void!

Han Jiang’s expression shifted, much as Earthflare had in their fight. Was... the young man able to discern what would happen ahead of time? Surely not! The man raised his longsword in return!

Although it was the same situation, Han Jiang’s reaction was greatly different. He didn’t run away as he was the general of an army. He bellowed with rage as his longsword exploded—self detonation!

The longsword had blown itself up!

Han Jiang’s azure armor flew out and also detonated itself. The recoil smashed into the surroundings. Stellaris was obstructed by the explosions and its force weakened somewhat.

A frosty look hung on Han Jiang’s face as he watched Stellaris break through the cloud of energy and once more take aim at him. It was mighty and undaunted. A vicious look flashed through his eyes; his arms separated from his body and flew toward Stellaris.

This was a sword that would not return to its sheath unless it tasted blood.

Then I’ll give you blood!

His arms turned into a copy of his body and formed into a human being—it was another Han Jiang!

This one exploded with a shower of blood that covered Stellaris, finally defusing the blow. Han Jiang breathed heavily. He’d managed to obstruct Li Hao’s stroke by paying the price of two treasure and his arms!

Stellaris was immensely weakened and Li Hao so pale that there wasn’t a hint of color in his face. Han Jiang was far stronger than Earthflare and much more decisive. After pulling out three countermeasures, he’d managed to block a blow from Stellaris that would’ve proved fatal!

This kid is absolutely a notable character!

Han Jiang realized that his moves were being anticipated. Li Hao was quite the character to be able to detect a pattern. However, he underestimated the strength of a city’s general in the end. Perhaps this was the result of having met Sun Xin first, leading him to think that there wasn’t much to the military leadership of the ancient cities.

Sun Xin had only been the vice commander of a small army. Boundless fielded a large one, and Sun Xin had died in Zhang An’s hands, not Li Hao.

After a small spasm of fright, Han Jiang smiled instead. His arms regrew, but their presence was not as strong as before. Originally wreathed in the presence of a Saint, Han Jiang’s presence had slid slightly. It was an indication of his cultivation declining, but he knew that he would swiftly recover after resting for a while post battle.

Li Hao... was dead without a doubt! That stroke had exhausted his mental strength!

The young man stared, as if already gripped by despair and awaiting the arrival of death. Han Jiang didn’t hesitate. It would just give Li Hao another chance if he didn’t end this fight now!

A large blade appeared in Han Jiang’s hand—though it was far less powerful than before, it swung at Li Hao!

Stellaris had already been sent flying, there was nothing the young man could do about this latest attack!

In the distance, the Watercloud empress dowager set her jaw and transported her longsword through the void. It reappeared in front of Li Hao; the young man reached out like they’d planned this handoff and closed his hand around it!

This was the personal sword of the Human King Consort! And yet, it was simply a strong weapon that required incredible strength to power.

A supernatural character hovered over Li Hao’s head, the ‘dao’ character. He’d given those of the five elements to Yuan Shuo, but kept the ‘dao’ character in his body. It seemed to devour the universe as Li Hao struck with the sword!

It was indomitable and unstoppable! All of the great dao surged into his body. This sword... seemed even stronger than Stellaris. A shadowy figure floated out of it when the longsword darted forward. It seemed to be that of a woman, but her face was indistinct.

She moved with Li Hao’s gesture and filled the air with the sound of a babbling brook. It threaded through the universe as the sword struck!

Han Jiang’s expression changed drastically! “Queen Chen...”

But the two were too close. He’d already detonated two arms and weakened his cultivation. He could not avoid this stroke!

Face flickering with dismay, Han Jiang howled and detonated his newly born arms once again. This time, he blew up his entire body apart from his head. The enormous explosion ripped through Li Hao!

The young man was partially protected by the light from the longsword, leaving his head intact. Both of them only had heads left!

The longsword descended and broke through everything with a loud crack, cutting through Han Jiang’s head.

“AHH!!” A ghastly scream rang out as Han Jiang’s head shattered. However, a shadowy figure formed as soon as the longsword vanished—his mental strength! Collected in human form, he smiled despite his fear.

He was the victor in the end!

Li Hao had exceeded his expectations and destroyed his physical body, but he was still alive!

Although Han Jiang only existed in mental form now, his was still the mental strength of a Saint. There was only a head left of Li Hao and an empty look in his eyes.

Was that sufficient to kill a Saint?

That piece of trash Earthflare had raised his hopes too high! It’d been so easy to take him down, and he’d been a full and complete Saint. It gave Li Hao the impression that there wasn’t much to Saints.

Who would’ve thought that there would be such a gap between them? If it was Earthflare, Li Hao might’ve obliterated him with the first stroke. The second would’ve completely crushed his mental strength!

There were even cracks snaking through the ‘dao’ character, it could offer no more help. Had he lost?

A different light dawned in Li Hao’s eyes. Indeed... they seemed to have lost. They’d lost the gamble. The Streamflow Sword Method had not been able to cut down the enemy. If it had, he might be able to repair himself somewhat after devouring Han Jiang’s body. That would give him hope to turn the tables against Zheng Gong!

And yet, he hadn’t been able to do so.

The dense look of disappointment registered in Han Jiang’s eyes. He smirked and broke through the air, punching at the young man.

You’re disappointed? You’re out of options!

A dim small sword was struggling behind him—Stellaris. It refused its orders!

But ultimately, a drop of golden blood floated out of the small sword. It was from Li Hao in times past. A supernatural character appeared as well—the ‘sword’ dao character.

The little sword shook, unable to stop what was happening. It should’ve realized the day it recognized Li Hao as its master that the young man was heartless. He treated all weapons the same, no matter how strong or if it was his family’s heritage. None of them meant too much to him.

An utterly magnificent radiance burst from Stellaris!

Closing in for the kill, Han Jiang realized what Li Hao was about to do. “You’re going to detonate Stellaris?!”

What the hell?? That was the symbol of Silver Moon, the personal sword of the Sword Sovereign, and the legitimacy of Li Hao’s authority! It was the key to him receiving support from some New Martial citizens and the key to controlling important sectors. It was the final hope of opening the Star Gate!

Li Hao wanted to destroy it!

It was... beyond incredible. The key was, Stellaris was so formidable that it wasn’t possible to detonate the weapon under ordinary circumstances. Li Hao did not possess sufficient strength to do so, but the weapon had chosen to accept him as its master when he discovered the great dao!

The young man’s head smirked in a sardonic grin. What couldn’t he blow up? Nothing mattered anymore if he was defeated. He didn’t want to break the sword either—it might even cause issues with the seal around the moon. But what of it?

If I die and the seal breaks, then the Red Moon exalted emperor and these traitors can have fun with each other!

“Break!” Li Hao’s lips vibrated with the command.

KABOOM!

A vast wave of energy erupted behind Han Jiang. The incomparable power swept through the world in a domineering rumble, eradicating his mental strength! He found the circumstances incredible even in his final moments of life.

I died to the self-detonation of Stellaris?!

The sword destroyed everything, washing over Yuan Shuo and Zheng Gong nearby and buffeting them with immense aftershocks. The two pairs were fighting very close to each other, which meant that all four were bowled over by the enormous attack!

Li Hao was better off—he was hiding behind his enemy’s mental strength, so it wasn’t his turn to suffer until Han Jiang’s mental strength was completely obliterated. The massive explosion threatened to annihilate his head as well!

He struggled, refusing to die like this. He wanted to tear through the void and take shelter in the Hao Cosmos, but there was too little strength left in his head. It was too difficult for him to break through the void to safety.

One golden boxing glove flew over at this time

Bam!

The boxing glove shuddered from the explosions it was met with. Close by, the Great Li king watched impassively. Blood flowed freely from his hand since it was no longer wearing the boxing glove. His own flesh burst when he blasted a Gold Armor to death with one punch. The boxing glove dulled from the collisions, but it’d blocked the fatal blow from the demise of Stellaris!

“You owe me a life, Li Hao!” leered the Great Li king.

He could’ve ignored the young man’s plight and permitted Li Hao to be blown to pieces. Even without that end, the young man didn’t necessarily have the strength to fight Zheng Gong anymore. The king could’ve made use of the boxing glove to get away or strike back.

But he chose to extend a helping hand in the last possible second, even though doing so caused the boxing glove to sink into silence. It was just like when the Watercloud empress dowager acted. She’d chosen without hesitation to transport the Human King Consort’s sword to Li Hao.

Since they were here and fighting together, then they would take a gamble at this stage!
