Star Gate-Chapter 1130: Dawn (I)

Within the Hao Cosmos.

The Moon God’s face was pale. Next to her, the sun god and god of darkness was yet to die, but their divine power continued to drain away. They would not hold out for long if this continued.

As powerful as the god of prophecy was, this land was too foreign to them. Li Hao walked through the void, appearing to smash a celestial body and disappearing at will. There was nothing that the god of prophecy could do against him!

Most despairing of all was that there didn’t seem to be anyone who could restrain or talk the young man down. Anyone who could convince from his course of action otherwise... seemed to be dead.

In the distance.

“Li Hao, if I die, there will be no one in control once the world awakens,” the Moon God intoned with a sullen expression. “The seal over the Red Moon exalted emperor will break...”

“What can he do to me when I hide among the Hao Cosmos?” laughed Li Hao. “I’ll go out and kill him when I reach great perfection with my cultivation! Given what you’ve said, Moon God, you might as well self-detonate!”

The queen’s face fell. All previous limitations and threats seemed to have lost effectiveness. She couldn’t help but curse to herself! Why was this?? Who’d killed Yuan Shuo and the others?! Killing those guys was the equivalent of letting out a demon! Why kill those people if Li Hao wasn’t dead?

She was beside herself with fury!

Li Hao had pulverized almost all of the celestial bodies he could find—the world spun!

The five reappeared within Silver Moon world. A bloody rain drifted through the air and came down on them. The Moon God looked out over the scene with sorrow.

More than a dozen divine spirits had died in such a short period of time. It was death in the true sense of the word!

These divine spirits were Saints in their peak condition; they hadn’t fully recovered yet. When their dao meridian was shattered, their only outcome was to be slaughtered on the spot. Even those whose dao meridian was still intact suffered from an unheralded offensive in this moment!

It was an utter massacre!

Every one of the attackers had bloodshot eyes as they mobbed divine spirits to death. The divine bodies were shredded to pieces even without the blood rain, not a single scrap of flesh was left untouched!

There were only a dozen divine spirits left out of several dozen in the blink of an eye. The one million soldiers within the city had long lost their pious reverence. There was only fear, helplessness, and panic!

Divine spirits were falling like the rain!

They had been wholly unafraid when Li Hao appeared on their doorstep the first time. But this time, divine spirits were being slaughtered and there was nothing that their queen or the god of prophecy could do about it. They could only endure a one-sided massacre from Li Hao’s group.

A great deal of hope flared when they saw some divine spirits manifest, but it quickly turned into more despair!

The queen didn’t seem to be able to do anything!

The god of prophecy was completely suppressed by repeated blows from Li Hao’s sword. The god of darkness and sun god were even worse off. Under the queen’s protection, they fled and sought to escape in any possible way. If they didn’t, they would be killed on the spot once their divine strength faded away!

Mountains of bodies and seas of blood built up. The god of prophecy continuously coughed up blood and suffered the void cutting into him. In this moment, he knew what he had seen that day in his prophecy.

He had seen today!

He’d thought that the last battle was it, but... he had guessed wrongly. The goddess of luck had only seen that the fortunes of the stars dimmed and brightened. Perhaps this was why she had been unable to read the fortunes of her own camp.

Just as the god of prophecy stared for a second, lost in thought, Li Hao’s sword drew an untraceable arc through the air. It pierced through the dodging sun god with a crack—he’d just evaded the sword intent. Stupefaction and bitterness dawned on his face!

He was a Saint!

But in this moment, he died worse than a piece of trash.

His divine power drained away and his great dao collapsed. He lacked the strength to follow his heart and could only slink away from the blow. However, it still crushed his body.

The sun god was in dire condition. He looked at the queen and whispered, “Run...

“RUN!” he erupted with an ear-splitting roar a second later, as if the explosion of the sun.

Go!

Even though Li Hao hadn’t found the dao meridian for the god of prophecy, the world did not tolerate Saints at present. He wouldn’t be able to endure for long. All of them would die once the god of prophecy was defeated!

“Run!” The god of darkness knew that he was doomed. He flared the last iota of darkness in his body and plunged the vicinity into night so complete that not a sliver of light could be seen. “Everyone, go! Protect the Moon God!”

The queen was dazed, in a stupor like she’d been last time Li Hao defeated her. Several divine spirits rushed over and grabbed her, yelling back at the god of prophecy. “Prophet... cover our retreat!”

Clustered around the queen, the divine spirits furiously fled for their lives.

Someone was soon after them.

Li Hao hacked at the god of prophecy stroke after stroke. The god answered with his full strength, detonating his divine body without keeping anything back.

“Is there a need for this?” he sighed. “Why must we be this way... Divine Nation does not wish to eradicate Skystar, we simply desire to take revenge on New Martial. Li Hao...”

“Don’t you think it’s a little late for that?” Li Hao chuckled. He didn’t care about those running off. Almost two-thirds of the divine spirits were dead. Only a dozen were escaping and Sky Sword was leading others to hunt them down. How many would truly get away?

Of the three who’d recovered to the Saint level, two were dead, leaving this one... Once the god of prophecy lost his body, he would have quite the wait to revitalize. Li Hao didn’t even need to look for his corresponding star.

The young man slashed again and again, forcing the god of prophecy into constant retreat. The god was heavily restricted in the outside world, the void was still cutting into him, and he’d suffered heavy injuries from their first battle with Skystar. He was on the verge of a mental collapse after consecutive engagements!

The god sighed with resignation, potentially regret, and other emotions. He took a deep look at Li Hao—this child... could obliterate their foundation!

He could demolish the base nature of a divine spirit!

This person might be a greater threat to them than the New Martial exalted emperors. He’d single-handedly ensured that half of the divine spirits that’d died would not have a chance of resurrection. The sun god and god of darkness would never revitalize again.

“Li Hao... the world will not tolerate... you for... slaying divine spirits...”

A massive collision rang throughout the world. It enveloped the massive city of Divine Nation, starting a chain reaction that disintegrated the hovering metropolis. Innumerable soldiers were blasted apart!

The massive shockwave even forced Li Hao back a few steps. The others were also thrown far into the distance. One million soldiers were annihilated by the impact!

Bloody rain extended throughout the world and gory water spread in all directions. The god of prophecy was dead, but contrary to other divine spirits, he stood a chance of future resurrection. The sound of combat began to fade In the distance.

“Don’t chase them too hard!” Li Hao called out. There were divine spirits desperately covering their retreat, there was no need for his people to risk themselves thus. Some returned a few moments later.

“Seventeen divine spirits fled,” Hong Yitang reported calmly. “With the Moon God, that made for eighteen. Six of them chose to cover their retreat—we killed them where they stood. The rest escaped...”

There’d been more than fifty divine spirits to begin with, a quarter at most had made it out. Divine Nation had been utterly devastated; their three Saints had died in battle and two would never be resurrected.

The Great Li king was bathed in blood when he flew back. “Why do you not chase anymore?”

“We cannot kill the Moon God,” Li Hao answered calmly. “If we do, the seal over the Silver City will break and release the exalted emperor. Although I don’t care, it still does matter at the end of the day.

“Didn’t my teacher and the others fall into slumber so that there would be peace in the world? So even if I don’t care and back the Moon God into a corner, wouldn’t that mean their sacrifice was for nothing?” The young man looked around with a radiant smile. “We’ve killed several dozen divine spirits in this battle and eradicated an army of one million. Divine Nation’s elites are no more, so what if the Moon God escapes?”

There was no answer from the group.

“Do we... march on Barren Dynasty now?” someone asked.

“No!” Li Hao looked at them in all seriousness. “Isn’t it good to be alive? Barren Dynasty possesses Saints and desolate beasts. We can pit ourselves in battle against them, but there’s no need to do so! Divine Nation has been destroyed—if Great Li and Watercloud retreat, Barren will not dare set foot out of their wastelands. Skystar is free of worry!”

People’s hearts shook at his question; they refrained from asking about further hostilities. Could they break Barren Dynasty?

They stood a chance to, but there were also the desolate beasts to consider. Under such conditions, they would be risking their lives again in battle.

It had been easy enough against Divine Nation because Li Hao had found the foundation of their great dao after he organized the dao universe. He wielded the strength of a Saint to break their dao. Divine Nation had not been able to stand against Skystar at all!

Li Hao’s smile was particularly brilliant. “Skystar is without worries!” he declared.

Divine Nation, one of the four nations, had lost countless divine spirits in that battle and one million valiant soldiers. The rulers of Great Li and Watercloud were with him. While they hadn’t surrendered, they wouldn’t dare send out their troops either!

Barren Dynasty was trapped in thousands of kilometers of desert. They wouldn’t dare emerge from their wastelands.

The deaths of the divine spirits shook the world. It was no longer as stable as before and the situation would be good enough if it didn’t decline, much less set the second awakening in motion.

Given the situation, all of the strategic goals he’d wanted to attain with this battle had been achieved!

But... have I accomplished everything? I... haven’t lost that many people, right?

The young man tilted his head back to the sky with a smile. Teacher and the others are just asleep. I’ll wake them sooner or later. When the ancient Human King ruled over this world, he revitalized those that’d died in battle, yeah?

Apparently, even the supreme was dead in those days. He came back to life just as well. If the Human King can do it, why can’t I? Can’t I hold the world in my hand and grasp the dao of life and death?

Li Hao came back to his senses. That’s right, I’m going to become the master of this world and great dao. I will command life and death. If that’s still insufficient, I’ll reverse time!
