Steampunk: Sixth Era Epic-Chapter 810: After Modification: Holy Tree Scar
Chapter 810: After Modification -810 Holy Tree Scar
Shard felt the power of the Red Butterflies, while the weak girls in the ice coffin opened their eyes, joyfully seeing their bodies regain warmth. Shard held them out, and Sister Delphine walked in at this moment:
“So, what do we do now?”
The nun asked softly. Shard ignored the cat’s displeased meowing and looked at the side wall of the palace hall. ƒrēenovelkiss.com
The wall with the tapestry melted away, revealing beyond the Maze Lock, the people fighting under the moonlight at the foot of Sicarl Mountain.
The church had the upper hand completely. The undead behemoth, born from the giant cocoon with a giant human head at its core and countless limbs growing on the outside, was still struggling desperately.
Spiritual Light dotted the starry night sky. Countless souls were running on the path of shattered light at the mountain top, though the path and the watery area in the starry sky were becoming blurry. The Nether Moon was about to disappear again, and the Star Whales were ending their brief journey in the material world, returning to the outer space of the Astral Realm:
“This night is truly long.”
Shard sighed, then looked at the dragon head part of the horrific undead aggregation:
“It’s time to end this.”
“Yes, but I must remind you, that giant undead may fear the power from the mountain top, but even in your Maze Lock state, you can’t defeat it.”
The nun said, and Shard naturally understood this point:
“Defeating it is the church’s and your business. I just want to speed up the process. It’s terrified of the power here? I’ll distract it. Sister, can you send your true self back to the battlefield and seize the opportunity to finish it.”
“No problem.”
Speaking, the nun took a small step back. She still stood in place, but Shard inexplicably felt she had already left:
“Is this a doppelgänger? That’s fine…”
Then he softly asked the two weak girls beside him:
“May I borrow your power?”
The weak girls nodded. As the red butterflies flew out of the ice coffin, they turned into a swarm of butterflies and flew towards Shard. Another ice coffin fell from the sky. Shard held Miss Fiona Drago’s hand, and she also turned into a phantom, merging into Shard’s body.
The Princesses’ power was Shard’s power. He could not only call upon them within the Maze Lock but also borrow their power:
“It’s time to end this.”
Shard temporarily handed the reluctant cat to the nun’s doppelgänger for care and then walked towards the gap in the completely melted wall, reaching the edge and looking up at the brilliant starry sky:
“I’ve always wanted to do this.”
Standing within the Maze Lock, feeling the full power of the Red Butterflies, he clenched the Higgs Dragonhead Stone in his right hand.
“We are inside the Maze Lock, even if we can see the outside reality, we can’t touch it.”
The doppelgänger of Sister Delphine softly reminded again, this doppelgänger ability did not come from the power of The Chosen One, but from the Arcane Technique of the Eleven-Ring Sorcerer.
“I understand, no matter what happens later, please…”
“You are now in the city.”
The path of shattered light turned into true shattered light and disappeared under the starry sky. However, the Silver Moon did not disappear; instead, it gradually moved higher into the starry sky.
It started snowing, flakes of snow falling from the sky, to the surprise of Iluna, who was casting the Sunlight Gun from above the city.
She looked up to the starry sky, not understanding why there would be snowfall on an autumn night.
“Look below!”
Someone’s voice reminded. Looking down again, it was no longer Midshire Fort City; it was an ancient town of the old era. Iluna could even clearly see the moonlit street, the shop windows by the road, and the black iron street lamps…
“This is Shard’s…”
The Little Match Girl and the Sleeping Princess Maze Locks overlapped, even pulling in the monster born in the Interstice, along with three Thirteen-Ring Sorcerers and numerous High Ring Sorcerers, into the Maze Lock. If not for the gift of those souls, Shard couldn’t have done this even if he were a High Ring himself.
He was standing at the edge of the castle, the Matchstick Girl holding a small basket standing beside him, looking at the snow-covered city below with him. Shard closed his mouth, took a deep breath inward.
He stood straight with a slight upward tilt of his head. In that starry sky with falling snow, the silver moonlight, the dazzling moonlight, uncontrollably shot out from his mouth, eyes, nostrils, and ears, even from every fine pore on his face. His chest emitted a chilling sound, enhanced by the power of the Red Dragon Witch. The silver light shot out and merged with the red butterfly light around his body. Even before he opened his mouth, the undead behemoth, suddenly pulled into the Maze Lock, sensed the imminent danger.
It was already instinctively terrified because a Deity had once appeared at the mountain top. Now, even knowing that blow couldn’t cause decisive damage, it still abandoned all confrontations with the surrounding Circle Sorcerers. With countless limbs growing, its face turned towards the direction of Sicarl Mountain, towards the enormous castle that appeared on the mountain peak.
The terrifying giant face opened its mouth, the last power of the Interstice gathering as strands of black light within its mouth.
“Roar!”
Shard and that giant face almost simultaneously emitted a sound that, if it were in the real world, could resonate throughout the entire Rommel Mountain range.
The black light pillar, entwined with the Holy Silver Light pillar wrapped in red butterflies, pierced through the snowy sky and collided head-on under the moonlit night.
The black and silver light dimmed the starry sky. The terrifying energy impact, if not confined within the Maze Lock, would have turned Midshire Fort City into history.
Shard was steadily retreating, and the scenery within the Maze Lock was rapidly fading. Cracks appeared clearly on the castle walls; even with the Maze Lock, he was no match for this monster.
“A golden opportunity!”
The Church of Nature’s Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer, a middle-aged man with green hair, shouted loudly:
“Hold nothing back, this is the final attack!”
The three Thirteen-Ring Sorcerers of the True God Church, along with the headmaster of Saint Byrons, simultaneously chanted the Sublimation Incantation:
[City of Mechanical Illusions, create life!]
[Tranquil Lake, echo the secrets beneath the moon!]
[Hero of Trickery and Murder, wield your sword and slay the demon!]
[The Age of Silver has passed, I vow to be the last Gatekeeper!]
Four streams of Spiritual Light illuminated the sky, and those who could still attack, be they Church Ring Sorcerers, Witches, or Circle Sorcerers from various parts of the Old Continent, all unleashed their most powerful attacks.
The scenery within the Maze Lock peeled away in large sections, but correspondingly, the Undead Aggregation, filled with terrifying Whisper Elements, lost more than a third of its body almost instantly under the Church’s heavy blows. The “Holy Tree Scar” was doing its utmost to suppress the power of the undead. Having lost the vast number of spirits from the Interstice, the battle’s conclusion was no longer in doubt.
The High Ring Sorcerers suppressed the Undead Behemoth, and the Ring Sorcerers within the city and on the mountain caused the ritual base formation of the “Holy Tree Scar” to gradually manifest in the sky. At this moment, regardless of their organizational affiliation, all the living poured their maximum power into concluding this great battle.
The sky’s brilliant colors illuminated the night; Iluna knew this was the final moment as well. She rode her Spirit Horse into the sky, with the dark golden balance rising behind her.
Switching the “Night Watchman” from her left hand to her right, she grasped the sword’s blade with her right palm, even as it cut her hand and blood soaked the “My heart is clear, the sword slays the demon” rune without her noticing:
“Balance!”
Dark golden light spread out, further suppressing the heavily wounded giant undead.
“Sun, bless me!”
Raising the “Night Watchman” stained with her blood, she gripped the reins with her left hand, and the Spirit Horse charged forward for its final assault. Iluna leapt from the horse, rising into the night sky.
At that moment, Shard’s voice echoed in her ears:
“The first wish, the second wish, the third wish, the fourth wish, the Chosen One shall defeat the enemy from the Interstice.”
The phantom of matches flickered in Iluna’s eyes, the surging sense of power making the balance symbolizing the Ancient God behind her shine even brighter.
In the air, her long hair fluttering, the seventeen-year-old girl grasped the blade of the “Night Watchman” with both hands, golden thunder spreading from her fingertips towards the silver sword. The golden thunder extended to the ends of the sword, breaking through its constraints.
Simultaneously, Sister Delphine, clad in her black and gray nun’s robe, ascended higher under the moonlight. The giant shadow of a black robe slowly appeared behind her in the moonlit night. A massive black scythe, with flickering flames in its surface cracks, slashed across the surface of the undead aggregation born of the Interstice.
The power of death and the end cut through the fearsome undead, which, distracted by Shard, didn’t even have time to resist.
As the scythe slashed through, cracks also appeared in the space. Amidst the undead behemoth’s roar, sunlight-like brilliance shone above everyone’s heads; lifting their gaze, they saw Iluna high above, holding the golden Thunder Spear that seemed taller than Sicarl Mountain, and she cried out her most powerful wish:
“Sunlight Gun!”
The thundering lightning exploded, and the Sunlight Gun pierced through the giant undead that had been impaled by the Scythe of the Grim Reaper, but was still contending with Shard.
The range of the Maze Lock suddenly contracted, pushing everyone back to the real world’s night sky. The undead pierced by the Sunlight Gun was forcefully “nailed” to the night sky, the golden-glowing spear illuminating the entire Star Ocean.
Behind Sister Delphine, the Eleven-Ring Life Ring appeared. Having become the Chosen One, the “Death” Spirit Rune became her new Core Spirit Rune. That rune flashed brilliantly, and the nun wielded the black scythe formed by her life ring, gently slashing in the air, opening a black rift beneath the undead behemoth to send it back to the Interstice.
“Beyas, seal it!”
Mr. Lacan Matthis of the Sun Church yelled, throwing one of the ritual symbols, the Sun Holy Emblem hanging on his chest, to Iluna. The “Holy Tree Scar” ritual was jointly performed by the Churches of Nature, Sun, and Dawn, with the Church of Nature taking the lead.
At the same time, the remaining Ring Sorcerers in the sky urgently changed positions, and the divine lights twinkling in the city and on Sicarl Mountain reached their peak.
Iluna, in the air, caught the Holy Emblem, then descended towards the Sunlight Gun, gripping its top with both hands. As she continued to descend, the Sunlight Gun pushed the undead it had pierced down into the black rift.
The light on the Sunlight Gun gradually dimmed during this process until the undead behemoth completely vanished into the darkness. Iluna was left holding only the “Night Watchman.”
The ritual circle of the divine ritual “Holy Tree Scar” lit up across the entire Sicarl Mountain Region, and Iluna stood in the starry sky, at the center of the formation bearing the tree emblem.
She remembered Shard’s instructions, knelt on one knee in the air, gripped the sword hilt with both hands, and plunged it forcefully into the center of the ritual:
“Holy Tree Scar!”
At that moment, green light spread from the sword, gradually replacing the golden divine light. Even ordinary people, who had not yet slept on this turbulent night, could see the residual trace extending towards the starry sky from the summit of Sicarl Mountain, and the patch of green in the Star Ocean.
