Chapter 122 - 122

Himeko and Firefly forcibly separated the two, finally bringing Pom-Pom and Elio's bickering to an end.

Xiangling noticed the cage Stelle was holding and came over.

"Stelle, is that a shroomboar in the cage?"

Stelle nodded.

"Yeah, there are shroomboars in here. Super tasty. I'm planning to raise these three little guys in my realm.Once they grow up... hehe, slurp~"

Xiangling also started drooling at the sight of the shroomboars in the cage.

She knew about these — she'd eaten one before, and the taste was indeed amazing, the meat infused with a rich mushroom flavor.

"Great! I'll help you cook them when the time comes. Guaranteed to be delicious!"

Stelle patted her chest and pointed at Xiangling.

"No problem. I trust your cooking skills."

Xiangling smiled happily.

"Come on, let's go put them in your forest."

The two ran into Stelle's realm carrying the little shroomboars.

Topaz noticed the mushroom creature in March 7th's arms.

The little shroom was limp and spiritless, looking completely worn out.

"March, what is that thing in your hands?"

March 7th replied,

"This? We caught it in Teyvat today. It's super fun — watch this. If you squeeze it like this, it puffs out air!"

She squeezed its belly, and the mushroom creature, clearly annoyed, spit a bubble right at March's face.

The bubble didn't have much force — it just made her hair flutter a bit.

Topaz thought the little thing was quite fun, cute in appearance with vivid expressions.

"March, could you help me catch one tomorrow? I want to raise one too."

March 7th readily agreed.

"Sure, no problem. We're going back there tomorrow anyway, I'll grab one for you."

Topaz grinned.

"Thanks! When you're back, drinks are on me — pick anything from the company's online store."

March's eyes lit up.

"Awesome!"

Meanwhile, Dehya and Alhaitham were curiously looking around.

Dehya was in total shock.

"Whoa... Ye Yun, you guys are actually from another world? This isn't a dream, right?"

Nahida smiled.

"You're not dreaming, Dehya. This really is another world."

Alhaitham was also surprised that the Lesser Lord Kusanali knew people from another world.

It reaffirmed his belief — letting her take the reins was the right call for Sumeru. And it allowed him to access even more fascinating knowledge.

Himeko approached Nahida.

"Nahida, are you all staying here tonight?"

Nahida nodded slightly.

"Yes, could you please arrange three rooms for us?"

Himeko nodded.

"Sure. There are plenty of vacant rooms in Stelle's realm. You and Dehya can stay there. As for this gentleman, I'm afraid he'll have to make do with a small room on the train."

Alhaitham shook his head.

"No problem. Just having a place to sleep is already enough. Thank you."

The six little ones returned yawning and exhausted, all looking sleepy.

Ye Yun picked up the drowsy Klee and gently tapped her little nose.

"Ready for bedtime?"

Klee nodded softly, eyes barely open as she rested on Ye Yun's shoulder.

Ye Yun patted her back.

"Hang in there a bit longer. You need a bath before bed."

He brought the six kids back to their room to rest.

After they all washed up and changed into pajamas in the bathroom, they climbed into their beds.

They'd had a great time that day, but it had worn them out — after all, they had traveled a long distance on foot.

Qiqi, in her laurel-patterned pajamas, was the first to fall asleep.

When Ye Yun had bought pajamas for the six, Qiqi hadn't known what she liked, so he simply got her the same kind Yaoyao wore.

Klee stretched and hugged her plush Dodoco toy.

"Huck~ turn off the light~"

Hook, whose bed was nearest the door, reached over and turned off the light.

The six of them snuggled under their blankets and quickly fell asleep.

The next day arrived.

Ye Yun and the others got up early. After breakfast, they returned to Sumeru's rainforest to continue their journey.

Just as they set out, they saw someone standing not far ahead — the Doctor.

Nahida frowned upon seeing him.

"It's you! Fatui Harbinger, the Doctor!"

The Doctor was surprised to see Nahida and the others appear out of nowhere.

"Oh! Lesser Lord Kusanali, there you are. Come with me quietly, and no one has to get hurt."

Bailu, hearing that, was reminded of when she had been captured in the past.

"Why should we go with you? You creepy weirdo! You obviously aren't a good guy — get lost or I'll make you suffer!"

Klee and Hook chimed in.

"Yeah! Get lost or I'll hit you with my bombs!"

"Move it! Good dogs don't block the road! The mighty Hook is getting angry!"

The Doctor noticed Bailu.

"Interesting... horns? A tail? You'd make a fascinating research subject."

Hearing this, Stelle showed a mysterious smile and quietly pulled out her phone to start recording.

"What did you just say? You want to take Bailu for experiments?"

The Doctor glanced at her.

"Of course. If the little girl agrees to be my test subject, I might let the rest of you go."

Stelle stopped the recording and tugged Ye Yun's sleeve.

"Ye Yun, open a portal. I need to go back for a bit."

Seeing her expression, Ye Yun understood what she had in mind.

He waved his hand and opened a portal. Stelle darted in without another word.

Back on the train, she pulled out her phone and opened the group chat.

Star:@RealNameOnly @ColdFacedDragon @DemonicShadow @BladeBro, check this out — [Video Attached]

The four tagged quickly opened the video.

Within minutes, Jing Yuan, Jingliu, Blade, and Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae appeared before her.

Jingliu asked in a cold tone:

"Where is he?"

Stelle pointed at the portal and gestured politely.

"This way. He's right through there."

The four dashed into the portal, and Stelle followed, grinning.

Hehe, time for a good show~

Right behind her, Aha and Sparkle also rushed through.

"Hurry! Sparkle! We're about to get a new employee!"

In the rainforest, the four — Jing Yuan, Jingliu, Blade, and Dan Heng — locked eyes on the Doctor.

Stelle pulled out her phone again, pointed with her small finger.

"That's him! The guy who tried to kidnap Bailu!"

She even thoughtfully paused the video on the Doctor's face for easy comparison.

Before the Doctor could react, Jingliu and Blade moved instantly.

They leapt into the air.

"All rivers converge!""Burial beyond the shore!"

With their combined strikes, the Doctor had no chance to flee — razor-sharp swordlight shredded him into dust-like pieces.

Ye Yun spoke up.

"This guy's different. What you just destroyed was only a clone — he sliced himself into fragments at every stage of life."

Hearing this, the four quickly responded.

"I'll go north, Jingliu east, Blade west, Dan Heng south — one direction each," Jing Yuan ordered.

The others nodded and scattered.

March 7th looked at the pile of dust.

"Tsk tsk. He messed with the wrong person — poor guy. Let's keep going. Dan Heng and the others will handle this."

And with that, Ye Yun and company continued on their journey toward Aaru Village.

***

Snezhnaya, inside the Tsaritsa's palace.

The Doctor was having a meeting with the Cryo Archon Tsaritsa, The Jester, and The Maiden.

Tsaritsa spoke.

"Jester, have you contacted the captain? Tell him to stop collecting the Gnosis."

The Jester nodded slightly.

"I've already contacted him, but that guy has his own plans."

Tsaritsa frowned slightly at that.

"Go to him personally. This is a serious matter. All Fatui operations must be halted, especially those involving the Gnosis."

The Jester nodded again.

"Understood."

Suddenly, all four of them simultaneously drew their weapons and launched an attack at the ceiling of the palace.

At some point, a crescent-shaped sword aura had appeared above the palace, descending rapidly.

Even with the combined efforts of the four, they were only able to slightly alter its trajectory.

The sword aura still struck the palace—just not directly on them. It was slightly off.

The palace roof was shattered, and Jingliu appeared in the sky above.

Tsaritsa frowned deeply—this person was incredibly powerful! Why had he never heard of her before?

Jingliu pointed her Ice sword at the Doctor.

"I'm only here to take the Doctor's life."

With that, she struck again with her sword.

This strike was even more forceful than the last. The Doctor had no time to resist and was killed instantly.

Tsaritsa, the Jester, and the Girl didn't even have time to react.

By the time they came to their senses, the Doctor had already been shredded by the sword aura, reduced to a mist of blood that slowly drifted to the ground.

After taking care of the Doctor, Jingliu turned and left.

Tsaritsa thought for a moment.

"Jester, Girl, I'm going to Liyue. Take care of Snezhnaya while I'm gone."

The Jester and The Maiden accepted the order.

Tsaritsa flew into the sky, heading toward Liyue Harbor.

She wanted to ask Calestia about the mysterious woman just now—someone that powerful, there was no way Calestia wouldn't know her.

Meanwhile, with Ye Yun and the others...

After a full day of travel, the group arrived at the border between the desert and rainforest.

Stelle stood on a high point, looking down at the endless desert.

"Wow~ So this is the desert? It looks hot already."

Dehya said:

"During the day it's scorching, but at night it gets freezing. We'll head down from here, and after passing through a canyon, we'll reach Aaru Village."

Ye Yun suggested:

"Want to go sandboarding? This place is perfect for it—it'd be so fun."

March 7th looked around. They were standing on high ground, and all the way down led straight into the canyon.

In other words, they could ride all the way down by sandboard.

"I'm in! Ye Yun, quick! Get the boards out!"

Ye Yun bought several sandboards designed specifically for sand surfing. These boards resembled small boats, with curved fronts and backs to help them glide over the sand.

Stelle grabbed a board excitedly, immediately sitting down with her feet on it, urging the others to get ready.

Ye Yun strapped in all six of the little ones and gave the command:

"Go!"

As soon as she heard the signal, Star gave a strong push, launching her board down the slope.

"Woohoo~!"

She held onto the board as it sped downward, feeling the thrill of the ride—this was her first time trying something so exhilarating.

Bailu quickly got her board into position on the slope and held on tight.

"I'm coming too~!"

Ye Yun, Nahida, March 7th, and Alhaitham followed.

Although Alhaitham wasn't particularly interested in sandboarding, it was clearly an efficient way to travel.

If there's a better option, why not take it?

The group charged downhill on their boards, kicking up clouds of sand behind them.

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the canyon.

Stelle, satisfied, packed up her board. That exhilarating slide had been a blast.

Over twenty minutes of uninterrupted downhill fun.

Klee stood up, ran over to Ye Yun, and tugged at his clothes.

"Ye Yun-gege~ Klee wants to go again!"

Klee still wasn't done—she wanted another round.

Ye Yun patted her head gently.

"Klee, we still need to keep moving. I'll bring you back to play again next time, okay?"

Klee nodded.

"Okay! Let's keep going!"

They continued on their journey and soon reached their destination—Aaru Village.

Village chief Candace welcomed them.

At Candace's home:

Dehya introduced Ye Yun, Nahida, and the others to Candace.

After hearing their identities, Candace looked solemnly at Nahida.

The Lesser Lord Kusanali?

"I am Candace, the chief of Aaru Village. Greetings, Lesser Lord Kusanali."

Nahida helped her up.

"Candace, no need for such formality."

Candace straightened up and asked:

"Lesser Lord Kusanali, what brings you to Aaru Village?"

Nahida replied:

"I've come to improve the lives of the desert people."

Candace was stunned.

Had she heard that right? The Lesser Lord Kusanali just said she wanted to improve the lives of the desert folk? Was that real?

Nahida looked at Ye Yun.

"Ye Yun, do you still have that item I asked you to hold on to?"

Ye Yun thought for a moment.

"What you asked me to keep? Hmm... Oh, right! The Tree of Life? I've got a bunch. Want to buy one?"

Nahida nodded slightly.

"I want to plant a Tree of Life in Aaru Village."

Ye Yun looked at the item's description:

[Item: Tree of Life]Description: A divine tree from an elven world in a fantasy realm. Wherever it grows, a forest will follow.Function: Improves soil and creates forests.Price: 180,000 Star Coins.

After reading that, Ye Yun immediately understood Nahida's intent.

She was planning to transform the desert into a forest. If she pulled that off, most desert dwellers would surely follow her.

After all, forested land is something desert people dream of—and Nahida could give it to them.

With a wave of her hand, Nahida produced a pouch of Primogems.

"There are exactly 18,000 Primogems here. Ye Yun, please help me buy a Tree of Life."

Ye Yun was curious—where did she get so many Primogems?

"Where did you get all these? Weren't you staying in Liyue all this time?"

Nahida smiled.

"I gathered them through the Fungi across Sumeru by linking with them."

Ye Yun nodded.

"Ah, I see."

Indeed, Nahida had that kind of authority—she could link to animals or puppets and control them.

Ye Yun accepted the pouch and purchased the Tree of Life for her.
