Strange Worlds-Chapter 329: Follow Me
Chapter 329: Follow Me
Perhaps by now, the Fourth Head of the Wansu City was still holding a grudge because of that incident.
But what could they do?
No one wanted those incidents to happen and there was basically nothing that they could do to prevent it when they didn’t even know how everything could turn that way. And the four big families who thought that they would be leading ahead in Wansu City had no other choice but to swallow this anger.
They could only turn to the Fourth Head of the Wansu City.
And it was also because of this incident that the current four patriarchs could become the patriarchs... Because the one who should have taken the position either had died or they were not willing to take this position after what had happened.
It was tragic. freeweɓnovel.cøm
"Will he be fine?" Melia asked.
"He should be fine," the Green Family Patriarch replied. "After all, he’s the second in line to become the patriarch back then."
If it was not because of his sister’s death had caused Jonas to be hit hard and become unstable, the Green Family Patriarch will never sit in this position.
"No, I mean his fighting capabilities. He hadn’t taken any missions for more than a decade." Nelia frowned when she thought about this.
"He’s not weak." the Green Family Patriarch shook his head. "Don’t worry so much. I don’t think he’ll be reckless. He wouldn’t want to leave his daughter alone."
"Neither do I." Melia rolled her eyes and looked at Keiran’s room.
"Yes." the Green Family Patriarch nodded with determination in his eyes. He would not lose so easily to others and will come back to stay with his son.
As for the Fourth Head of the Wansu City’s matter?
Alas...
He couldn’t really do anything to his teacher.
"And I’m sure you’re not here to persuade me just like Nathan and Nisa, right Silas?" Nelia suddenly called out and looked at the wall. She rolled her eyes. "Really, the three of you are very annoying. One after another just had to come here and disturb me."
"Teacher."
Silas jumped down awkwardly. He thought that what he did was very secretive, but Nelia actually managed to find out. Though, he didn’t really hide himself that much because he wanted to see what his teacher wanted to do and talked with her if it was possible.
Nelia looked at Silas and furrowed her eyebrows. "I don’t know why your skills have improved so much, but do you forget that I’m very familiar with your mana signature?"
There was only faint mana fluctuation, but Nelia sensed it keenly. Because of that, she knew that Silas should be around even if she couldn’t see or detect him.
"Yes, Teacher."
"Do you also want to persuade me?"
"No." Silas shook his head. He looked at the people inside and said slowly, "I believe Teacher has her own reason why she can’t refuse this mission and since you have decided to do it, it’s not my position to persuade you to step down."
Nelia nodded. "Good, you’re more level headed than that brat Nathan. In that case, why are you here?"
"I want to know more about it..."
"There’s nothing for you to know." the Green Family Patriarch shook his head and then said, "Besides, I’m sure that the Black Family will not be happy if they know that you’re trying to get yourself involved in this mess."
Silas was silent.
That was true.
Because from what he knew, the Fourth Head of the Wansu City had already met with his uncle but his uncle refused vehemently. He didn’t want to take this dangerous mission, so the Fourth Head of the Wansu City could only set his eyes on the few others.
And among the people in Wansu City, who’s more convenient other than the Green Family Patriarch?
If the Green Family Patriarch went, Melia and Nelia would definitely go.
The three of them have always been going together for missions in the past and it was only in the recent years that they didn’t do missions together again. After all, they were too strong.
Doing missions together, unless the mission’s rank was really high, then it would be overkill.
"I’ll be fine." Nelia shrugged. "Anyway, it’s the duty of the magic warriors of Wansu City to work for Wansu City. If we succeed we’ll also have a lot of rewards."
Silas nodded.
The problem is that if they fail, the cost will most likely be their lives.
But who among the magic warriors in the entire world would not step forward bravely in the face of challenges and so on?
Even if they knew that they might die because of their actions, many of them would not step down. From the very beginning, they wielded power that was far above many other people and it was also because of this that they had more responsibility.
When there were dangers, they had to be the one at the forefront.
Otherwise, who would protect the people behind them?
"Yes, Teacher, I’ll be leaving now."
Silas bowed and then turned around.
He had reached rank 7 and Nelia was able to detect him even though he didn’t purposely lower his magic spells skills. So at the very least, the Green Family Patriarch and the other two women would not die so easily.
With this in thought, Silas used the magic concealment again and walked out of the Green Family Patriarch’s residence.
His eyes landed on the tree nearby.
The familiar mana fluctuation could be felt from here.
Even though he couldn’t really sense her, but Silas knew that she was there. He made a gesture and then left.
Aya pursed her lips and looked at the Green Family Patriarch and the two other people. They had already continued to discuss about what they planned to do later.
She thought for a moment and decided to follow Silas’s instruction.
What he said just now was:
follow me.
