Strongest Necromancer System-Chapter 81: The Radagan War
Chapter 81: The Radagan War
Jason looked down at the girl in his hand again, and for a moment, Jason considered his next course of action. Jason could leave her behind and allow her to figure things out when she wakes up. However, from the things he heard from the Adamantine Ant subordinates, he knew that this hill was filled with other dangerous monsters, and Jason was sure that at least one of them would come and kill her if he left her here alone. The only other option was to take her with him, and Jason decided that he needed more information before he could decide on whether to bring her or not. Jason didn’t want to go into a situation without knowing what he was getting himself into.
Jason looked towards the Dragonrider’s body that was set on the ground and told the Rook carrying him to take him down to it. The Rook flew down to the body, and Jason put his hand toward it and spoke.
"Resurrect!"
Doon!
A massive pressure filled the area as Jason’s mana dove into the man’s body! For a second, Jason was worried that the man was not going to be resurrected. Jason had felt the man’s will firsthand during the previous battle, and Jason saw the intense fire that had been burning in the man’s eyes! He knew that the man was very strong-willed, so there was a chance that he would fight against the summoning. But Jason immediately got rid of that thought as his eyes narrowed into a glare! Who cared if the man had the strongest will in the world? He fought and lost against Jason’s army, and Jason was going to have him whether he liked it or not!
Jason’s mana grabbed onto the man’s soul and immediately dragged him back forcefully to pull him out of his body, and Jason watched as an astral copy of Dragonrider formed in front of him with a calm look on his face. The Dragonrider was wearing the same outfit that he had on when he died, but the missing arm had returned, and he had a spectral sword attached to his hip.

’So it’s true. I can summon humanoid creatures as well. And he’s wearing armor and his sword, so that means they always come back with everything they had on them when they died. I wonder if the armor and sword have the same properties that the original weapons had.’
Jason’s thoughts immediately began to wander as he thought about this. If the Dragonborn’s weapons and armor had the same properties as the original ones, then it would be the same as gaining two artifacts for each kill.
But the system immediately responded.
[The subordinates are summoned in the state that they were defeated. The artifacts, weapons, and armor are treated as a part of their overall strength, and they will be summoned with them to ensure that their strength is maintained.]
Jason hummed as he watched the man standing there. There was a look of intelligence in the man’s gaze, almost like he could tell who Jason was, and he was simply waiting for any instructions from him. Jason spoke up.
"Do you remember who I am?"
The man nodded once and Jason raised a brow.
"Do you hate me for taking your life?"
The man shook his head immediately and Jason scratched his chin curiously. So it didn’t matter how hostile his subordinates were before they died. Once they were resurrected they would immediately become loyal to him. That was good. Jason didn’t want to have any rebellious subordinates in his Legion.
Jason asked another question.
"Can you speak?"
The man frowned at Jason for a moment as he tried to bring up any words before a response filtered into Jason’s mind.
’I can only talk in this manner.’
Jason clicked his tongue before he looked away in irritation. He was annoyed that the man had lost his ability to speak and wondered if that had something to do with the man no longer being alive. Well, it wasn’t so bad since the man could still speak through the mental link. Jason only needed him to reveal as much information as possible.
Jason asked the man what happened between him and the woman he was attacking, and the man immediately started to explain that the woman was the princess of one of the Dragonborn tribes on Radagan.
According to the man, the woman’s name was Riyala, and she belonged to one of the most powerful Dragonborn tribes in Radagan, the Wyvern Riders.
There were two major dragonborn tribes in Radagan. The first was the Dragon Riders, who had bonded with dragons and used their power to gain honor on the battlefield, and the second was the Wyvern Riders, who were a more peaceful race and focused on trading and healing more than battle.
The Wyvern Rider’s tribe had made a name for themselves by partaking in trade agreements between the many other tribes and accumulating a substantial amount of money. This allowed them to become the highest authority in the world of Radagan, and it wasn’t long before there were rumors that Rilaya’s father was about to be crowned as the next King.
But the mighty Sovereign who led the Dragon Riders refused to allow this to happen. He staged a massive coup in one night and attacked the Wyvern Riders with his army. They burned through the kingdom of the Wyvern Riders, and it wasn’t long before they reached the castle and captured the king. The Sovereign was willing to allow the king to live so long as he agreed to relinquish his interest in the throne and give his wife and daughter to the Sovereign as his concubines. But even though the Wyvern Riders were not fighters like the Dragon Riders, they were still Dragonborn, and they were prideful and fierce.
The king’s wife bit her own tongue on the night when the Sovereign tried to force himself on her and choked to death on her blood, and the king fought through more than twenty guards to give his daughter a chance to run away. Normally, the Sovereign would not have been bothered by the princess’s disappearance since his main goal was to seize the throne, but he couldn’t allow her to escape because of a special ability that she had been born with.
The Dragon Riders all possessed one form of fire-based ability or another, and the majority of them could only use their flames for destruction. But the princess was different. Her flames gave her the ability to heal any and every wound that she touched. It was an ability so strong that there was a rumor she had once regrown the arm of a soldier who lost it in battle! She was basically a phoenix in the flesh!
The Sovereign couldn’t lose such a valuable asset, so he sent the Imperial guards to retrieve her before she could go too far. There were three of them altogether chasing her down, but she used a burst of mana to force open a dimensional tear to escape, and her Wyvern killed the other two men with a blast of magic. This man was the only one who survived, and he barely managed to follow her through the tear before it closed.
Once the Dragonrider was done with his explanation, Jason just hummed curiously as he looked towards the girl resting on the back of his Rook. So she was some sort of refugee running away from a war. At least he was assured now that he had chosen the right side. If it turned out that she was some sort of criminal who was running away from prison, then he would have felt a little bad about killing the man!
But the thing that worried him the most now was how she got here. Was it really that easy for anyone to open a dimensional tear?
