Strongest Warlock - Wizard World Irregular-Chapter 1129: After Story 5: The Legend Of The Tidebringer, The Forgotten Shores
"Isn’t it amazing?" Joanne asked with her hands resting on her waist.
Her chin was held high as she pointed at her giant statue at the Temple of the Tidebringer, showing them to the members of the Protector Clans who had accompanied them in Atlantis.
"Truly a work of art!"
"As expected of the Young Miss. Your legacy will be remembered throughout history!"
"Such an imposing pose, such beauty, such amazing presence! This truly deserves to be recorded in the history books!"
"If the Master and Madam were here, they would definitely bless this place as a world heritage site!"
As he watched his sister show off to the others, Ethan couldn’t help but facepalm. Standing beside him, Princess Ramona noticed his reaction and giggled.
"When I get kids, I’ll make sure to have their statues built beside my statue," Joanne declared. "What do you think, Enzo?"
"I think that’s an amazing idea, Young Miss," Enzo replied. "The Protector Clans are willing to mobilize all of our manpower and resources to make it happen."
Joanne nodded because she had already expected to receive this answer. But before she could say more ridiculous things, a hand covered her lips from behind.
"Joanne, don’t make things difficult for the Protector Clans," Ethan said softly.
"It’s not really that difficult, Young Master!" a member of the Protector Clans commented. "Actually, it will be our honor to build something for the Young Miss!"
"That’s right, Young Master!"
"How about we make statues of the Young Master’s children as well? Just say the word and we will have it done!"
"Agreed!"
"I second!"
"I third!"
Ethan sighed. "Okay. Everyone, calm down. Please, just stop. Can’t you see everyone is already looking in our direction?"
To avoid recognition, Ethan wore a hooded cape, hiding his long blue hair and face from the crowd.
His lovers were all beauties, so they were already gaining a lot of attention just by standing near the entrance of the Temple.
Princess Ramona’s and Joanne’s giant statues were one of the landmarks of the Temple of the Tidebringer.
Because of this, many people liked to pose beside them and take pictures as a commemoration of their visit.
Lily looked at the two statues while holding hands with her two toddlers.
Zach and Zayne liked to take walks with her. So, when Joanne said she would like to visit the Temple, Lily decided to accompany her to see the interior of the Temple.
Since they left the Lands of Alastor in a hurry back then, they didn’t have time to see the temple built in honor of Ethan, whom everyone worshiped as the Tidebringer.
Illumina had visited the temple several times in the past just to look at Ethan’s life-sized portraits to remember him by.
Lilian, Emma, and Lilith, who had yet to become pregnant with Ethan’s child, decided to visit the temple.
Princess Wilhelmina, who was very curious about the Tidebringer Religion, decided to join them as well.
The rest stayed in Atlantis, which was docked a mile away from the temple.
"Ramona, let’s go." Ethan held Joanne’s and Princess Ramona’s hands firmly, leading them to cross the bridge, so they could stop causing a commotion near the statue.
When they arrived inside the temple, Ethan couldn’t help but feel embarrassed by the ten-meter-tall portrait smiling at him, all the way across the room from above the main altar.
This was where the Saintess of the Tidebringer’s religion read the scriptures left behind by their founder, who had returned as a Half-Elf.
"Brothers and sisters, stand before the tide and listen—for the ocean remembers, and so must we!" the Saintess said, her melodious voice spread within the temple grounds.
"Long ago, when the storm raged and the abyss itself sought to swallow our shores, it was not Gods nor Kings who saved us."
"It was the Tidebringer."
"A warrior of flesh and will, bound not by crown nor creed but by duty!"
The Saintess then pressed her hand over her chest and smiled gently at the believers, who were listening intently to her sermon.
"With the Sea God’s Trident in hand and righteousness in heart, the Tidebringer did not kneel before the great maelstrom. No! He rose against it! When the sea spat forth its horrors, he cut them down! When the darkness threatened our homes, he drove it back with the light of his courage!"
"And though his body was claimed by the waves, his spirit remains! In the currents that shape our shores, in the winds that fill our sails, in the blood that surges through our veins! We are the children of his sacrifice, the heirs to his Legend!"
Joanne was starting to feel goosebumps because the Saintess’ speech was so empowering. Even the members of the Protector Clans couldn’t help but nod their heads in agreement, for their Young Master was truly a living legend.
"So, I ask you, faithful ones. Will we falter when the tide rises again?" the beautiful Saintess asked. "Will we cower, as lesser men would?"
""NO!""
A thunderous reply came from the believers, which reverberated within the temple.
"That’s right." The Saintess nodded. "We will raise our voices as he did! We will take up the arms he left us! And we shall stand, like he stood, against whatever darkness dares to come!"
"For the sea does not forget! The tide does not retreat! And neither shall we!"
"Glory to the Tidebringer!"
"""Glory to the Tidebringer!"""
"""Glory to the Tidebringer!"""
"""Glory to the Tidebringer!"""
"Glory to the Tidebringer!" Joanne raised her hand, and joined the chant.
"""Glory to the Tidebringer!"""
The members of the Protector Clans also shouted, giving Ethan a strong urge to cover his face in embarrassment and run away from this place.
On the other hand, Lily giggled because she could tell that her husband truly felt embarrassed at the moment.
After the impassioned shouting, Joanne lightly tugged on her brother’s shoulder and said softly.
"Brother, isn’t this the right time to make an appearance and say a few words to your believers?" Joanne proposed. "I’m sure they will be very happy. That Saintess over there is also beautiful—although she’s not as beautiful as Ramona or your other wives. Still, I’m sure she will be more than happy to see her deity in the flesh."
"Don’t start trouble," Ethan lightly pinched his sister’s cheek, making Joanne pout.
She was half tempted to shout "The Tidebringer is here!"
But knowing that it might cause mass chaos, she decided to keep silent and simply returned to Princess Ramona’s side.
Lily walked beside Ethan with a smile.
"Joanne’s suggestion isn’t a bad thing," Lily stated. "It will only strengthen the belief of your believers if you make an appearance."
"You’re also a troublemaker," Ethan kissed his wife’s cheek. "Now behave. We just came here to observe, not draw attention."
Unfortunately, Ethan’s plan was ruined by a certain Progenitor of Magic, who decided to spice things up.
With a wave of her hand, Ethan’s hooded cape disappeared.
A second later, a beam of light descended upon Ethan, highlighting him as a divine being who had arrived in the mortal realm.
Soon enough, the mischievous progenitor, who wished to see something exciting, shouted, intending to kickstart chaos.
"The Tidebringer is here!"
As soon as the people heard the shout, they all glanced in the direction of the entrance and saw Ethan.
They then glanced back at the portrait on the altar before shifting their attention back to him.
Even the Saintess did the same. And when she realized that the young man in the portrait and the one standing near the entrance looked exactly the same, a scream coming from a fangirl escaped her lips.
"My Lord!" the Saintess said in excitement. "Welcome back!"
The believers first thought was to greet their Deity and maybe even get a kiss from him, which had become a tradition in the temple.
In order to protect his family, Ethan immediately released a pressure that kept everyone in place, preventing them from charging at him and his family. freёnovelkiss.com
"Please calm down, everyone," Ethan said. "I am very happy that all of you are such pious believers."
The young man decided to bite the bullet since everything had already ended in this situation.
Four pairs of angelic wings sprouted behind his back. He then flew to the altar, landing gently beside the Saintess, who was torn between wanting to hug or kiss Ethan.
However, all the Saintess of the Tidebringer were chosen due to their strong willpower. That said, she was able to hold back the temptation and simply knelt before their patron deity.
The other believers followed suit, looking at the young man with reverence.
"After hundreds of years, I have returned to visit the Magdar Kingdom and this Temple that was built by my wife—errr, disciple, Princess Ramona," Ethan stated. "She lived her life to the fullest, and I am very happy with the hard work she did during her lifetime."
Princess Ramona, who was reborn as a Half-Elf, couldn’t help but blush after hearing Ethan’s compliment.
She had indeed worked hard, but it was due to personal and selfish reasons.
To escape an arranged marriage by her family, she chose to become the first Saintess of the Temple of the Tidebringer. She also ensured that her successors would keep the faith alive long after she was gone.
The stories of Ethan’s feats in the Lands of Alastor were properly recorded in the book she created, which had become the holy scripture of the Tidebringer’s Religion.
"I am happy to see all of you are doing well," Ethan said with a smile. "And just like the waves that wash over the shore, It is my wish that all of you will continue to live strong and happy lives."
Ethan raised his hand and summoned his Sea God’s Trident.
"May the blessings of the tides be with you always."
The trident then glowed faintly and cast a healing wind towards the believers, curing them of minor injuries and ailments.
Deep inside, Ethan was cursing the Progenitor of Magic, Hecate, who forced him to act in this manner.
’One day, I’ll get my revenge on you,’ Ethan promised, thinking of ways he would spank the bum of the petty Progenitor of Magic, who was still making his life difficult even now.
When the sermon ended, Ethan had to convince the believers to return home, and prevent the very enthusiastic Saintess from kissing his lips, which was a tradition in the temple.
In the end, he compromised with a kiss on the cheek and a hug, but only after Princess Ramona made the suggestion.
Since she was the one who created the religion, she should at least follow the custom, which would inspire the future Saintesses to do their best.
When everything ended, Princess Ramona took Ethan to the room that could only be used by the founder of the Temple.
The Saintess had a different room, so no one had used the room for hundreds of years.
Even so, it was regularly cleaned, making sure that it could be used if a special guest ever decided to visit the temple.
Lily and Joanne decided to lead the group back to Atlantis, leaving Ethan and Princess Ramona to reminisce about the past together.
"It must have been hard," Ethan said as he hugged the young lady, who had loved him for the past hundreds of years.
"It was worth it," Princess Ramona replied, looking at her husband, whom she had chased to the future. "I’m glad that I met you, Ethan."
"I feel the same." The two then shared a passionate kiss together.
That night, within the Temple the Princess had built with her blood, sweat, and tears, a night filled with love and memories echoed silently within its walls.
What Ethan and Princess Ramona didn’t know was that, after this night of passion, a new life would be born several months later.
A life that would one day carry on the legend of the Tidebringer in the place referred to as the Forgotten Shores.
