Super God Grandmaster-Chapter 78 - 74 Ill Warm You Up
Chapter 78: Chapter 74: I’ll Warm You Up
Chapter 78 -74: I’ll Warm You Up
Xia Yue started crying again.
Guo Mingyu had people take Xia Yue away, then said to Yu Qing, “Don’t worry, everything is going to be alright.”
How could Yu Qing not worry about her sister? Even though she didn’t care for the old woman, she had no bias towards her sister.
Guo Mingyu and Lou Xuancheng immediately started discussing the situation. Guo Mingyu led a squad to the directed location to join Qiao Fanfeng and his team. After assessing the affairs in Demon Palace City, he entrusted the remaining matters to Lou Xuancheng.
After all, with the recent appearance of the Evil Domain, they couldn’t afford to let their guard down.
Lou Xuancheng asked, “Is it possible that the people from the Evil Domain also know about the Demon Domain finding Earth Demon Island?”
Guo Mingyu replied, “I’m not sure, and there’s too much going on to worry about that right now. You just handle things in Demon Palace City.”
“Alright, rest assured, I will handle the affairs of Demon Palace City dutifully.”
“Okay.”
“I wonder if Yu Yun is involved.”
“Ah, I hope so.”
“Why don’t I handle this.”
“No, I will handle it. You focus on the affairs of Demon Palace City,” Guo Mingyu replied.
Soon, the various factions in the Demon and Immortal Domain learned of the gathering at the Cow’s Horn seaport.
Huan Huo said, “They are clustering around. Could they possibly know that Gao Ba has found Earth Demon Island?”
“We cannot confirm that. But if true, then they have made fools of themselves,” Shi Tuo retorted.
“But we do know that they are behind us. We have no clue of the exact route to Earth Demon Island.”
Shi Tuo pondered, “I think people from the Immortal and Demon Domain might know.”
“Do they?”
“Yes, in the past, it was Immortal City that set the Confusion Array. They were the last ones to return to the Central Plains, so they must have retained some information. They might even have a map,” Shi Tuo elaborated.
“If so, we can follow them and find Earth Demon Island,” said Huan Huo.
“You seem to have become a lot smarter.”
“The question is, once we reach Earth Demon Island, have Gao Ba and his team already found the red and black Demonic Spirits?”
Evil King Sheng Kong said, “Shi Tuo, you prepare. I believe they will arrive here soon. When the time comes, we will follow them out to sea. Arrange for two ships to be ready for our departure.”
“Should we disguise ourselves as disciples of the Immortal and Demon Domain and assimilate into their ranks?”
“It would be extremely challenging to merge with their team. But disguising as disciples of the Immortal and Demon Domain might be worth considering. We could follow them in plain sight without being suspected. They are focused on finding Earth Demon Island. I don’t think Gao Ba would have found the red and black Demonic Spirits that quickly,” Sheng Kong speculated.
Shi Tuo nodded in agreement.
“They will need some time to unlock the secrets. Monitor the people of the Immortal and Demon Domain closely, especially Immortal City and Demon Palace City. Keep an eye on their activities while we lay low.”
“It’s a pity that we didn’t catch those two the last time,” Huan Huo seemed to regret.
Upon reaching Earth Demon Island, they trapped everyone in a cave. Rain was still falling, and they all huddled together inside the cave.
Soon, a group of people came over and separated the children from the men, holding them in different locations. They gave out some black-bread and water.
A thin, tall man who looked like he might be their leader appeared soon after. His skeletal figure made him look severely malnourished.
Xishan Gui shouted, “Get up, let’s not make things difficult! We brought you here for one reason – to help us create a passage. Once that’s done, you’ll be free to go.”
Yun’er said, “They are indeed from the Demon Domain.”
“How do you know? Do you recognize them?” Ye Chen asked.
“He has the Devil Domain’s emblem on his hand. Now I’m certain.”
“So, this is the Earth Demon Island you were talking about.”
“Did you think I was telling you a story?”
“I just want to escape.”
The tall man had a lot to say, the essence of which was that as long as they did as told and helped him open the passage quickly, everything would be fine. But they shouldn’t blame him for being ruthless if they didn’t comply. As he spoke, he drew his sword, as if ready to make an example of someone.
Soon those men were led out towards a cave.
It was still raining, guards were posted at the mouth of the cave.
Ye Chen was still pondering how to escape.
“Still thinking about escaping?” Yun’er nudged Ye Chen, who was lying next to her.
“Why wouldn’t you? Do you wish to experience being possessed by the red and black Demonic Spirits and then withered to a dry husk? I’m not married yet, I certainly don’t wish to die,” Ye Chen retorted.
“But can you escape this island?”
“Sitting here, waiting for death isn’t an option either.”
“Just make sure you don’t end up being a warning for others,” Yun’er warned.
“Good point, better be cautious.”
“Do you know martial arts?”
“Studied for over a month.”
“You’re joking, right? You call a month of martial arts training worth mentioning?” He Xi Bai scoffed from the side.
“I did learn for over a month. Unfortunately, I had to leave before I could fully master it.”
Ye Chen leaned to his side, looking out at the gray, gloomy sky. It didn’t seem like the rain would stop anytime soon.
Ye Chen said, “I suppose we only have a few days time. It will take these people days to dig through, before we get a turn. We can’t just wait here to die.”
Hearing Ye Chen, a young man asked, “Wait to die? What do you know?”
Ye Chen turned back, giving the crowd behind him a glance. He then smiled and said, “Nothing, I’ve said nothing about waiting to die.” It seemed they still didn’t know why they were brought here.
“Do you know something? Tell us quickly.”
“I don’t know anything.” He worried if he spoke, these people might panic.
Yu Yun just chuckled.
The sky slowly darkened, but there was no sign of the rain stopping—it continued to pour.
Listening to the wind as it roared through, assaulting the cave along the cliff, several fires were lit. However, the strongmen never returned—likely busy working into the night.
Ye Chen said, “We only have a few days. We must seize them and find a way to escape from here. Otherwise, we’ll really be parasitized by the Red and Black Demonic Spirits. We will die without a place to be buried.” He spoke quietly, fearing he might alarm the others, causing them to panic again.
Yu Yun seemed groggy, her clothes already slowly drying out.
Suddenly a voice came, “Yu Yun, what happened to you? Why is your head so hot?” It was the voice of Xibai.
Hearing this, Ye Chen tensed up and reached out to feel her forehead.
“What are you doing?”
“Clearly, your young mistress has a fever,” Ye Chen said as he withdrew his hand.
“What should we do then?” Xibai prepared to call for help.
Ye Chen immediately stopped her, saying, “Are you mad? Those are people from the Demon Domain, this isn’t your home!”
“They can’t just let her die, can they?”
“Do you really think they’re all like me? If you shout, they just might make an example out of her. There are so many people here, one less wouldn’t matter. They wouldn’t want to bring trouble upon themselves. They might even think it’s a plague—afraid it would spread—and simply kill her off.”
“What should we do then?”
“What else can we do? Let her rest well.”

“She’ll be killed by the fever.”
Yu Yun began to feel cold. Ye Chen said, “Help move her to that corner there.” It would shelter her from the wind.
Together with Xibai, they moved her further inside.
“There are no fever-reducing pills here.”
Ye Chen took off his outermost shirt and draped it over Yu Yun. He then tore off a piece of it and said to Xibai, “Wet this.”
Quickly Xibai did as told, completely lost now.
Returning with the now wet piece of cloth, Xibai watched as Ye Chen wrung it out and placed it on Yu Yun’s forehead.
“Will this work?”
“I don’t know, but it should at least prevent her from dying of the fever.”
“We should still find a way to get some medicine.”
“Do you really think this place is a pharmacy!” Ye Chen felt inside his pocket and found a small bottle—the thing Shito had given him to reduce swelling. He wasn’t sure it would work here, but said, “Try applying this.”
Xibai smelled it and cringed before asking, “What is this stuff?”
“I don’t know, it’s what Shi Tuo gave me to reduce swelling”
“The same Shi Tuo that tricked you to come here?”
“Yes.”
“What if it’s poison—he tricked you, didn’t he?”
“It’s not poison. I dislocated my arm and used this to reduce the swelling. Maybe it will work now. Either way, it’s not poison and she’s already so feverish. Apply it, or the fever might kill her. Or it could damage her mind.”
“It’s you who’s stupid. What if it doesn’t reduce the fever?”
“Can you stop fussing? Apply it to her first, if she’s still feverish tomorrow, we can figure something out then. The point is to have her make it to tomorrow.” Ye Chen was quite anxious. After all, Yu Yun was his friend Yu Qing’s sister. If something were to happen to her, Yu Qing would be devastated.
No longer bothering with details, Xibai did as he said.
Ye Chen tore off another sleeve, wet it with rainwater, and handed it to Xibai asking her to place it over Yun’er’s head, saying, “Be ready to change it at any time.”
Occasional gusts still blew in. But inside, there was some shelter.
“She seems quite cold.”
“Then give her some warmth. If you don’t want to, let me. I’ll warm her up,” said Ye Chen.
“Hey, get lost.”
Ye Chen smiled faintly.
That girl, too, laid down to sleep, watching the flickering fires outside. There were guards, quite a few.
Damn Shi Tuo, I thought he was a good guy. It seems I really can’t blindly trust people.
Suddenly, the rain intensified.
Xishan Gui was drinking wine and eating roast meat. Someone reported, “It’s already dark. Should we let those country bumpkins rest a bit?”
“No need. Those country bumpkins are so brawny, they’re like wild oxen. It’s hard to exhaust them,” said Xishan Gui.
“That’s what I’m thinking too. After all, they are humans. It’s impossible to get through in one or two days. If we don’t let them rest, how will they work tomorrow?”
