“Ye Qiu, if you don’t stop the car now, I’m going to jump out!” Shen Mengchen roared.

She had been scared out of her wits in the car, her heart had not been in its place the whole ride, always suspended in her chest, fearing it would drop into the abyss at any moment.

Crazy!

Ye Qiu, you lunatic!

Shen Mengchen cursed quietly to herself, thinking she was crazy enough, but she had underestimated how much crazier Ye Qiu, with his hands on the steering wheel, could be.

Unable to endure this tense state any longer, Shen Mengchen finally protested and demanded Ye Qiu to stop the car.

Ye Qiu’s speed gradually slowed until he came to a complete stop.

As soon as the car stopped, Shen Mengchen immediately opened the door and ran to the side to start retching, her face turning slightly green.

Watching Shen Mengchen vomit, Ye Qiu was greatly puzzled, “Isn’t this girl crazy when she drives?

How can she get carsick?”

After vomiting for a while, Shen Mengchen wiped her mouth and walked over, pointing at Ye Qiu with resentment, “I swear, I will never ride in a car you drive again.”

Ye Qiu touched his chin awkwardly, observing the look in Shen Mengchen’s eyes, as if she held a deep grudge against him, just because she had been in the passenger seat.

It surely shouldn’t be to this extent.

Ye Qiu couldn’t understand Shen Mengchen’s thoughts, and when it came to understanding women’s thoughts, he rarely guessed right.

He quietly retorted, “I was just trying to help you win back a game, at least you should thank me.”

“Hmph,” Shen Mengchen snorted and hurried back to the driver’s seat, not daring to let Ye Qiu touch the car again, as he drove even more crazily than she did.

Shen Mengchen gripped the steering wheel and then looked back at Ye Qiu; she felt like everything that had happened prior was like a dream.

Ye Qiu was sitting leisurely in the back, resting with his eyes closed, while Shen Mengchen’s big eyes occasionally swept over Ye Qiu through the rearview mirror.

This guy, on the surface, looked careless and had a semblance of a country metal fan, but whenever he got serious, he seemed like a completely different person.

He was good at fighting, good at cooking, good at racing, what was he not good at?

Shen Mengchen’s mind wildly speculated, even considering Ye Qiu as being capable of doing anything and everything.

Shen Mengchen drove the car, and no other incidents occurred along the way; it took half an hour to get back to the Goddess Villa.

There was no sign of Niu Yinyin and Shangguan Hong in the first-floor hall, Niu Yinyin was probably already asleep; that girl did nothing all day but play and eat, she must have played until she was tired.

The light was still on in Shangguan Hong’s room on the second floor.

When she saw Shen Mengchen and Ye Qiu come back, Shangguan Hong, wearing pajamas and holding a book, stepped out of her room and glanced at them, lifting her eyes.

“Shangguan sister, you haven’t slept yet?” Shen Mengchen revealed a sweet smile.

Shangguan Hong nodded, saying, “Out having fun again, huh?”

Shen Mengchen chuckled and did not explain.

Shangguan Hong showed a hint of sleepiness, yawned, and said, “It’s late, go back to your rooms to sleep.” After speaking, she held her book, her gaze lingering on Ye Qiu for a moment, nodded in acknowledgment, and then turned back to her room.

“Goodnight, Shangguan sister.”

Shen Mengchen said with a smile, tossing the car keys onto the coffee table and, feeling a wave of sleepiness wash over her, headed to her room.

After returning to his room, Ye Qiu did not immediately go to sleep but sat down to meditate and continued trying to break through to the Spring Fountain point.

About an hour later, unsuccessful in his breakthrough, Ye Qiu opened his eyes.

He did not force it, knowing that one cannot force meditation.

Ye Qiu was not too anxious, considering he had been stuck here not just for a day or two.

He closed his eyes and directed a strand of True Qi to his eyes.

Ye Qiu had not yet figured out how his X-ray vision had formed or why it could see through everything, which made him very curious.

Although the X-ray vision only allowed him to see objects hidden in the dark and was not of much help in martial arts, Ye Qiu did not consider it useless.

Ye Qiu had read in an ancient book that humans are born with spirituality and from birth have seven orifices.

The eyes are one of these orifices, they are windows that let people experience all things outside, it can be said that it is with eyes that one appreciates the various scenes of the world.

His X-ray vision could penetrate appearances and reveal the inner essence, according to the ancient book, this was akin to having opened the Heavenly Eye, and only with the Heavenly Eye could one possess this ability.

Ye Qiu had possessed the X-ray vision since he could remember, one could say it was innate, because the ancient scriptures had recorded that martial artists could only open the Heavenly Eye and obtain abilities surpassing human limits after cultivating to a certain realm.

The old lecher had once said he had seen someone reach this realm, and according to his description, that predecessor’s eyes not only had the ability to see through things but also possessed a much more powerful force.

“My X-ray vision is still far from the power described by the old lecher,” Ye Qiu sighed.

His X-ray vision currently could only see through external materials, right through to the inside, but to reach the level of that predecessor, he still had a long way to go.

“Dugu… This surname is too rare, where can I find that predecessor?” Ye Qiu mused to himself.

Thinking about how vast the world was, and especially those hermit-like figures, although Ye Qiu wanted to find that predecessor and ask about the Heavenly Eye, it was clear that it wasn’t something he could find clues to overnight, but with this trip down the mountain, he could just take the opportunity to look for some clues left by that predecessor.

In the blink of an eye, Ye Qiu had been acting as a student in the campus for over a month, although protecting Shen Mengchen’s safety was his primary focus, through these days, Ye Qiu found that the campus was relatively safe.

Shen Mengchen was an unapproachable white lotus in the campus, receiving a stack of love letters daily, but this girl would not even glance at the confessions she received, directly throwing them into the trash.

Ye Qiu thought, how many young men must be disappointed daily, no wonder everyone in the university says Shen Mengchen is the hardest school beauty to pursue.

Such days were easy and pleasant, watching the youthful and energetic girls every day, which made one feel quite good.

Ye Qiu especially loved watching those girls sprinting across the volleyball court, wearing sporty tank tops and shorts, constantly sweating, their twin peaks also rising and falling, making one dwell on the sight; this was Ye Qiu’s daily must-watch sport.

“Which guy has sent someone to watch me?” While Ye Qiu was watching the female volleyball players punching the ball, he faintly noticed someone observing him from the shadows; even though that person was well-disguised, they still couldn’t escape his eyes.

This clandestine observation had been going on for several days now, and it seemed that the other party was also afraid of being noticed by him, changing the person who watched him every day, yet, this was still caught by Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu knew someone harbored hatred towards him, but he didn’t mind, allowing them to watch him.

He believed that those with hidden motives against him would appear sooner or later, at which time, he would take care of them all.

Even at times, he felt somewhat impatient waiting and wished those lurking figures would make their move sooner, to spare him from having flies buzzing around him all day.

“Let me guess which ones among you want to make a move on me, and who among you it could be?” Ye Qiu pretended not to see the person secretly watching him and continued standing there.

However, his eyes kept scanning over the chests of the girls playing volleyball.

“This one is nice, big and round!”

“This won’t do, too small, just like small pigeons, an A at best.”

“That one’s too big, I probably can’t even grasp it all, must be at least a D.”
