System's POV-Chapter 946: I’ll Become Strong And Protect You For The Rest Of Your Life
"… What happened?" Thirteen asked as he looked at Tiona, who seemed to be unconscious and not responding to the teenage boy's touch or call.
"I made her eat something," Kamrusepa replied. "Don't worry. She's not in any danger, but she might have fallen into hibernation. Do you want me to take care of her for the time being?"
"It's fine," Thirteen replied. "I'll just put her inside Rocky's mobile fortress. She will be safe there."
He stopped whatever he was working on and summoned Rocky inside the Domain of the Apocalypse.
After entering his mobile fortress, he took Tiona inside the cottage his monster army had built for him.
"Sleep well, Tiona," Thirteen said before laying down the black snake on the soft pillow of his bed. "Pica, Pico, look after her for me, okay?"
""Yes, Boss!""
The two Pocopocos replied in unison, understanding how important Tiona was to their Young Master.
After gently patting the black snake's head with his finger, Thirteen returned to the Domain of the Apocalypse to finish his work.
Only half a day passed in the outside world, but Zion had already spent nearly four days inside his laboratory.
Every night, he only slept three to four hours before waking up and returning to his work.
Clearly, he was placing great effort and importance into the rings he planned to give to the special people in his life.
These rings had been crafted by Gerald in the past, and all of them were of the Adamantine Rank.
They had decent stats, but Thirteen added more potent passive abilities to them, spending nearly four days to complete his work.
When he finished adding dozens of rune symbols to it, the four rings were upgraded to Mythical Ranked Accessories.
The only downside was that he had used nearly all of the Jinn Cores in his possession. Of course, Thirteen didn't regret it one bit.
Anyway, the entire continent was teeming with Jinns, and he could always just hunt them down if he needed their cores.
On the other hand, giving protective accessories to Erica, Sherry, Shana, and Tiona was something he was compelled to do as soon as possible after he woke up from that nightmare, where he was forced to choose who to save among his three lovers.
Although he was tired and nearly feverish from exhaustion, he finally completed his task.
When he left his laboratory, Erica and Sherry were already waiting for him outside.
As soon as he appeared, the two ladies felt heartbroken due to how pale the teenage boy looked.
"Your body is so hot, Zion," Sherry said. "You have a fever."
"You should go back now," Erica said anxiously. "Sherry, make sure to take him to the infirmary when you return."
Erica was currently with Shana, and they were visiting a few cities near Casimir City to help boost the morale of the soldiers defending them.
She couldn't possibly disappear out of nowhere. If she did, it would cause confusion and chaos to the people who were sent to guard her.
"Erica, bring Shana here," Thirteen said as he handed the Sorceress a ring that would allow the Saintess to enter his Domain. "I have something to give you girls."
"Can it wait until you get better?" Erica asked. "We will be back after three more days."
Thirteen shook his head. "No. Bring her here, now."
Although he was feverish, the teenage boy's gaze was firm, making the Sorceress realize that her fiancé was planning to give them something important.
"Understood." Erica nodded. "I'll be back soon."
Without another world, the sorceress returned to reality, leaving Sherry to take care of Zion for the time being.
Metatron watched as the young lady helped the teenage boy drink some water.
Truth be told, the God of the Apocalypse could easily cure his condition, but he refrained from doing so.
He had a feeling that if he were to do that once, Thirteen would do even more reckless things as his subconscious clung to the idea that the God of the Apocalypse could treat him in a heartbeat.
Metatron had high hopes for the thirteenth seat of his organization, so he didn't want him to push himself to the very limit and, in turn, endanger his life.
A few minutes later, Erica returned with an anxious-looking Shana.
The moment the Saintess saw Zion's condition, she didn't hesitate to use her powers to heal him and make him feel better.
But the Saintess' abilities were mostly healing magic. It could not treat diseases and ailments.
The most she could do was bolster her lover's immune system for a short period of time, allowing his body to cure itself naturally.
When she was done, Thirteen thanked her before holding her hand.
"I was thinking that since the three of us are engaged, I should give the three of you proper rings," Thirteen said as he slipped a ring made of mithril on Shana's ring finger. "Consider this as our engagement ring, Shana."
"Is this the reason why you look so haggard?" Shana asked, feeling grateful for the gift given to her by the person she loved.
"Yes," Thirteen replied. "It's a good luck and protection charm merged into one."
He then reached out to hold Erica's hand and slipped a ring that looked exactly like the one Shana was wearing on her ring finger.
"You are bold and courageous, Erica, but don't wander too deep into the enemy's ranks," Thirteen said softly. "You are strong, but do not forget that there are many more beings stronger than you. Take this ring so I can always watch over you wherever you are."
"Thank you, Zion," Erica said, hugging her lover, whose body was very hot right now. "I'll treasure it."

"Mmm." Thirteen hugged her back and kept this position for nearly a minute before he reluctantly pulled back to face Sherry.
"Sherry, you are smart and kind," Thirteen said. "Sometimes, I worry a lot because you are too kind. Remember this—the world takes advantage of kind people. This is why they get hurt very easily.
"As much as I want you to be a little selfish, I know it's not part of your nature to do so. But I want you to remember that I can't always be by your side. There will come a time when you need to make a hard choice, and the only one you can rely on is yourself."
The teenage boy then slipped the ring on her finger before raising her hand to kiss it.
"Truth be told, you worry me the most," Thirteen added. "But I'm sure you will grow to become a very strong Wanderer."
"Un!" Sherry nodded. "I'll become strong and protect you for the rest of your life."
"That doesn't sound so bad," Thirteen replied. "I look forward to seeing your growth."
Thirteen then hugged the young lady before his body finally gave way.
"Did he faint?" Erica asked.
"Yes," Sherry replied with a sad look on her face. "I never thought that Zion would feel this light."
As a Wanderer, Sherry was stronger than an ordinary person.
So, feeling how light her lover was, she couldn't help but remember that Zion was not physically strong.
But in everyone's eyes, he was very strong.
He always stood at the front lines, giving everyone a sense of security that only he was able to bring.
Although they knew he had survived fights against a Majin Prince and Majin King, Sherry and Erica knew that Zion wasn't really powerful enough to beat such beings on his own.
He only managed to overcome such hurdles because of the preparations that he had made beforehand.
Not to mention, those battles were close calls and could've gone an entirely different way.
"Take care of him, Sherry," Shana said, almost pleadingly. "We will return as soon as we can."
"I will," Sherry replied firmly. "I promise."
Erica and Shana watched as the young lady carried Zion through the portal that led to his room inside the temporary barracks of the 69th Battalion.
They hoped that when they saw him again, their fiancé would be fully recovered and once again become the pillar everyone looked up to, even if the sky were to fall on their heads right at this very moment.

Inside the Infirmary of the Central Government…
"What is his condition?" Tristan asked the doctor, who had just finished administering some medicines to the sleeping boy.
"He still has a light fever, but I believe it will be gone when morning comes," the Doctor replied. "It's just a little worrying because his brain waves are a bit weak right now. It's like he had mentally exhausted himself, forcing his brain to enter a hibernation state to help him recover faster."
"Is there any danger to his life?" Tristan asked.
"No." The Doctor shook his head. "His life isn't in any danger, but I believe he needs to rest for a few days."
"Thank you, Doctor." Tristan nodded. "If something happens, don't hesitate to contact me directly."
"Yes, Sir."
The Field Marshal gave Zion one last glance before leaving the room.
The teenage boy was currently in the ICU, and a few guards were assigned to guard his room.
People might think that Tristan had over-exaggerated a bit since the teenage boy only had a fever.
However, in his eyes, Thirteen was a priceless treasure that needed to be protected at all costs.
'Maybe this is a blessing in disguise,' Tristan thought as he approached Sherry, who was currently seated on a bench beside Zion's room. 'With him here, I don't have to worry about him wandering off into any Jinn-infested territory for the time being.'
Still, he wanted to ask the young lady what exactly happened because she was the one who brought Zion to the infirmary after the latter fell unconscious.
Sherry had already anticipated that she would be questioned about what happened to Zion.
Because of this, she had already prepared a believable excuse that would put everyone's worry to rest.
