Blue Dragon’s shop was not really big, and Leon didn’t take much time to finish browsing.
Yet, this did not prevent Leon from gaining a lot of insights and knowledge.
“With so many valuable things lying around here, aren’t you afraid of people stealing or robbing them?” By using the Heavenly Eye Technique to observe the Magic Light, Leon could spot the magic traps spread throughout the shop, but it was inconvenient to mention them directly, so he pretended to be ignorant.
“Are you planning to steal or rob from me?” Blue Dragon’s sky-blue scales corresponded to sky-blue eyes when in human form.
Tassera blinked and looked at Leon cautiously, pondering what she could do if Red Dragon insisted on robbing.
“I wouldn’t do that.” Leon said without any self-awareness, “I’m a good person.”
“But I don’t think you look like a good person, and of course, I’m not really a good person either.” Tassera raised her slender finger, lightly tapping on the goods placed on the shelf, “There are magic traps all over this place, they will activate automatically when I’m not here.”
“Stealing secretly?
Be careful, or you might risk your life.” Blue Dragon stretched her back with her hands behind her head, “Honestly, it’s been a long time since anyone caused trouble here; I wonder if my Magic Statue, which has been off for a long time, might start malfunctioning.”
Following Blue Dragon’s gaze, Leon saw a finely crafted Stone Magic Statue wielding a giant axe.
“Did you buy that?” Leon was somewhat tempted; he also wanted a large figurine.
“I made it,” Tassera answered, “What’s with that look?
Don’t you believe me?”
“You’ve definitely never seen a more powerful Mage than me,” she continued.
“Mage or Magician?” Leon asked, feeling that his act was becoming a bit too obvious.
Continuing this way might make Blue Dragon suspicious and doubt whether his identity had been exposed, “The Mages I’ve met are bookworms, immersed in their own worlds all day, and the Magicians each one more beautiful and handsome, speaking so pleasantly…
and you are the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen.”
“There were many people who flirted with me in the past, and their ends were all quite miserable,” Tassera inquired noncommittally.
“They probably started getting handsy as they spoke,” Leon, as a man, was quite aware of how some men behaved, “But I’m just offering compliments…
Hmm, your eyes are truly the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, like the color of the summer sky.”
“I think you’re not worse than me,” Tassera observed Leon, admitting that Red Dragon’s scales were beautiful, having never seen such a beautiful Dragon before, but as a Blue Dragon, she would not admit defeat…
The human-transformed form of Red Dragon unexpectedly had black hair and black eyes, not a hint of red to be seen, “So, you’re a Magician then?”
“Yes, that’s right,” Leon said, “I can perform Water Walking, walking on water surfaces without falling through.”
In the heart of Oasis City, there’s a huge lake, right next to the marketplace, where Leon had rarely used the Water Walking Technique these past few days.
Keep pretending, just make it more convincing.
Thinking so, Tassera laughed, “Brother, you’re quite impressive.”
“Not bad,” said Leon, “So sister, are you a Magician too?”
“The key to being a Magician lies in charisma, a power from inside out, confidence, authority…
all personality, aura, and affability are charisma, impressive or fearsome, both are charisma, and good looks are just part of it,” Tassera paused, “Undeniably, most Magicians are very attractive, but the reverse is not true.”
“Whether you believe it or not,” Tassera snapped her fingers, and a ball of burning flame appeared out of nowhere, “I am a Mage.”
“Really?” Leon asked.
“Truer than Gold Coin,” Tassera said, “I love studying magic, not only magic but also script, language, history, mathematics…
any forbidden knowledge.
If you find something interesting during your adventures, show it to me, maybe I’d be willing to pay a good price.”
“That Six Divination you mentioned before, I find it quite interesting, let me know whenever you recall how to perform it, I’d be willing to pay for the knowledge,” Blue Dragon said seriously.
Leon looked at Blue Dragon and suddenly realized, “You are a Storage Dragon.”
Every Dragon’s nature includes the desire for magic and gathering treasures.
In extremely rare cases, these two drives combine leading the Dragon to seek mysteries, choosing to store magical and mysterious knowledge rather than treasures.
A Storage Dragon is more sociable than other dragons, often using transformation magic to disguise themselves as humanoid creatures to travel and interact with other races, spending most of their time in cities, even joining the Mage Guild, or allying with powerful Spellcasters or rulers…
This explained why Blue Dragon transformed into a human and opened a shop in Oasis City.
However, immersing in mysterious knowledge changes the physical form of a Storage Dragon, turning into a living Magic Book, with each spell engraved in the form of runes or imprints on their scales, and Leon remembered that Blue Dragon’s scales were very clean and beautiful, without any messy tattoos, so that doesn’t line up, does it?
Hearing Leon’s words, Tassera paused, then laughed, “So you knew who I was all along.”
“It looks like you also knew who I was, pretending not to know,” Leon said placidly.
Clearly knowing everything yet pretending to be ignorant wasn’t easy, which could easily leak out due to a small detail.
At this moment, the truth came out suddenly without going through a series of interesting, boring, or dragging events for either of them, or rather both dragons, to discover.
“Of course, it wouldn’t be so easy to deceive me,” Tassera said.
“It’s because you’re a Storage Dragon,” Leon said, “A Mage Dragon seeing through my true form would definitely not be difficult.”
“I must clarify one thing, I am a Mage, but I am not a Storage Dragon,” Tassera said, “I too love Gold Coin and gemstones, especially sapphires, blue is the color of wisdom.”
“That just means you’re not as severely affected,” Leon thought, picturing Storage Dragon as a kind of mental illness in dragons.
But it seemed without any side-effects, better than Predator Dragon or Roaming Dragon.
“Why can’t dragons like weird things when humans can?” Blue Dragon scoffed, “Anything liked beyond treasures is considered dragon mental illness.”
“I support you,” Leon laughed, after all, he was not exactly a formal dragon.
“Yes, you’re sick too,” Tassera looked at Leon, “You came to me for divination and were willing to pay me, even in Gold Coin.”
Leon flashed a brilliant smile, reaching out his hand towards Blue Dragon, “Greetings, fellow patient.”
“Hello, fellow patient,” Tassera shook Leon’s hand.
