The Extra Seeks Chaos-Chapter 209: Mission Successful
Arin stepped into Alex's room, not even bothering to close the door. After all, he didn't plan on staying long.
Without wasting time, he walked towards the drawer that was beside the bed.
'It should be here,' Arin thought as he stared at the drawer. 'In the novel, he saw it a few days before the tournament, so it should be here, except that has also changed, just as things changed in the tournament.'
Arin quickly opened the drawer as he squinted his eyes, hoping to see what he came here for.
And yes, inside the drawer lay exactly what he came here for.
Arin's eyes sparkled. "Perfect..."
His eyes were fixated on the egg that was inside the drawer. The egg was as big as his fist and was blue in colour.
Quickly, he picked it up and walked out of the room, closing the door exactly the way he had met it.
With a grin on his face, Arin walked towards his room and entered.
Meanwhile, outside the dorm building, to the right, Alex was currently running, following the trace of Blood Energy he was sensing.
'Shit... That Vampire must not have gotten that far...'
He could sense that he was close to the Vampire through the Blood Energy.
Seraphine was currently running while constantly looking back. She could see that Alex was not too far from her, but she was running faster, so she was sure that he wouldn't be able to catch up.
"Just a little bit closer..." she muttered as she stared at a building that wasn't too far from her.
Finally, she reached the building and went to the back.
Alex, who was still pursuing the Vampire, sensed the Blood Energy leading to the building.
He quickly cast a Wind Element Spell, boosting his speed as he dashed towards the building.
Seraphine, who was at the back of the building, smiled as she sensed Alex getting closer to her.
"I've done my part," she muttered, with a smirk.
Suddenly, she disappeared.
Alex finally reached the back of the building, but suddenly, he couldn't sense the Blood Energy anymore.
"Huh? Where did the Vampire go?"
His face twisted into a deep frown as he kicked the building in anger.
"Aghh! Damn Vampires!"
Arin was seated on the bed as he stared at the egg in his hand with a grin.
Roxanne was seated beside him, also staring at the egg, though she had a curious expression, wondering what it was.
"C-can I touch it?" she asked, her gaze fixated on it.
"Go ahead," Arin said.
Roxanne nodded as she ran her fingers along the egg, feeling its smooth surface.
Meanwhile, Arin was already carrying out the next step.
He released a bit of his Blood Energy and made it move towards the egg.
Roxanne sensed the Blood Energy and quickly removed her hands from the egg.
She could feel the little Blood Energy moving towards the egg, and she wanted to ask Arin what he was doing, but she decided not to disturb him for now.
Arin watched the egg, and as expected, it quickly absorbed the Blood Energy.
By doing this, he was removing the traces of Alex's Mana from the egg, so that he wouldn't be able to trace the egg.
Arin remembered that in the novel, when Alex got this egg, he began feeding it with his Mana, so Arin knew that Alex would easily be able to trace the egg with his Mana that was still in it.
So, by releasing his Blood Energy into the egg, he was getting rid of Alex's Mana.
'My transformation into a Vampire has benefited me a lot,' Arin thought. 'It has helped me in more ways than one.'
He wouldn't have had Seraphine who would help him with things like this, and he also wouldn't have gotten Blood Energy which was helpful in its own way.
As Arin was transferring more Blood Energy to the egg, he suddenly felt a presence in his mind.
"I'm back," Seraphine said.
"Good," Arin said. "Mission successful."
Before Alex had reached her in that building, she was able to return back to Arin's head, making her disappear.
Roxanne sensed the shift in Arin's expression and composure.
"Seraphine is back?" she asked.
"Yes," Arin said with a smile. "Thank you, Seraphine, Roxanne."
Roxanne smiled. "I'm glad I could help."
"Just don't forget my rewards," Seraphine said.
"I won't."
Alex had gotten back to his room, still angry that he wasn't able to catch the Vampire.
"This just further proves that it isn't Chaos," Alex muttered. "If not, he would have fought me. Moreover, he has a good number of allies with him."
With a sigh, Alex collapsed on his bed, his mind still occupied with the thought of the Vampire.
Suddenly, he gripped his chest and winced.
"Shit. I have other important things to take care of now," he muttered, the image of a certain lady flashing in his mind.
It was the lady who gave Arin and the others a vial back in the room for participants.
The same lady who seemed to like Alex and even told him her age.
With a devilish grin, he stared at the ceiling. "She'll be my next target... She has the special blood."
She seemingly liking him will even make his job more easier.
Occupied with that thought, Alex didn't bother to check his little pet that he kept in his drawer.
Unknowingly to him, his little pet wasn't there anymore.
Back in Arin's room, he had finally stopped transferring his Blood Energy to the egg that was greedily devouring it.
"This egg..." Roxanne muttered.
Sensing her curiosity, Arin explained.
"It's a Raven," he said.
Roxanne's eyes widened slightly. "When will it hatch?"
Before Arin could respond, the colour of the egg suddenly began changing from blue to red.
He squinted his eyes as he stared at the egg. Roxanne was also slightly confused about what was going on.
"Why did the colour change?" Seraphine asked.
"I don't know," Arin said.
But before any of them could say anything else, the sound of something cracking was suddenly heard.
It was the egg that was now red in colour.
Immediately after the sound was heard, a flash of red light suddenly shot out from the egg, and entered Arin's body.
"What the hell?"
Suddenly, his vision became blurry.
"Huh... W... What is going on...? I... I..."
Arin could feel himself losing consciousness, and even though he tried to remain conscious, he could feel that he wouldn't be able to hold on for long.
It suddenly felt like he was in a dream, and even though Roxanne was close to him, and Seraphine was in his head, it felt like their voices were distant.
"Master...."
"Master... Are you okay?"
Their voices were growing more distant, and finally, he collapsed on the bed... Unconscious.

"Wake up, you fucker! How long do you plan on sleeping, huh?"
"Shit! You still can't hear me!?"
Arin groaned as he massaged his temples. He could hear the voice of an angry lady, though he couldn't make out what she was saying.
But... But it felt like he could hear her voice directly in his head.
Suddenly, he thought about it.
"That's because she's actually in my head..." he realized.
"Seraphine, I'm awake now, stop shouting," Arin said.
"Hahaha! He's awake! Finally, it seems my shouting technique worked!"
Arin sighed and ignored Seraphine's ramblings for now, and focused on something else.
What else could he focus on?
Well, if there was anything else he could focus on, it was how the pillow below his head suddenly became soft.
"Before losing consciousness, I don't remember the pillow being so soft," Arin muttered. "A pillow can't be this soft, can it?"
"That's not a pillow, you dumbass," Seraphine said.
Arin furrowed his brows.
He quickly opened his eyes and he was instantly greeted with...
With...
"Wait, what? Is that a pink underwear?"
And then, he realized.
The right side of his face was on Roxanne's soft thighs, making his eyes face a forbidden area.
"What!?"
He quickly raised his head, his eyes widened.
"What the hell?"
For some reason, he couldn't forget the blissful feeling of his face on Roxanne's thighs.
If he wasn't trying to divert his thoughts, he would have certainly imagined his face being crushed with those thighs.
Calming himself, he finally noticed that Roxanne seemed to be asleep, and he remembered that the last time Roxanne was asleep, it was because she ranked up. After all, Vampires do not sleep.
"But she just ranked up a few days ago..." Arin muttered, slightly confused.
"She's not actually sleeping," Seraphine said. "She's just too weak to say anything, raise her head, or even open her eyes."
Arin raised a brow. "Weak?"
"Yes," Seraphine replied. "I'm still a little bit confused about what happened with that egg, but after that red light entered your body, you fell unconscious, and all your Blood Energy was instantly drained."
"Because of that, Roxanne transferred all her Blood Energy to you..."
"What?"
