The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard-Chapter 42 - Backstab_1
42: Chapter 42 Backstab_1
42 -42 Backstab_1
“The weather is so hot, and you went out to run business again.
You really are diligent.”
Carson Flores and Jax Gross had just returned to the company when John Roth teased them with a sneer: “So diligent, I suppose you must have had some success, huh?”
Jax Gross chuckled, “You’re actually right, Brother Carson closed a deal.”
John Roth’s expression froze, and then he scoffed: “Today was the first time you helped him run a sale, right?
If you were really that great, you wouldn’t be barely scraping by with a basic income by the end of the month.”
Jax Gross smiled: “I’m not that great, but Brother Carson is.
Not only did he close a deal, it was a big one.”
Looking at the triumphant Jax Gross and smiling Carson Flores, John Roth suddenly felt uncertain.
Damn, did Carson Flores really strike it lucky and close a deal?
“What big deal?”
Jax Gross laughed heartily: “Red River Hospital, a complete set of MRI equipment included, along with many other pieces of equipment.
The total deal is worth eighteen million.”
Eighteen million!
The smile on John Roth’s face solidified.
Several colleagues around who were interested in the gossip widened their eyes in disbelief.
An eighteen million deal is not considered a super-big order for Miller Medical, but it’s definitely a large one.
And such an order was secured by a newbie who just joined a few days ago?
What’s more, Red River Hospital was a client that everyone had tried to win over in the past, a tough nut to crack, and Carson Flores had actually done it.
Impressive!
John Roth stared at Carson Flores in doubt: “Is what he said true?”
Carson Flores shook the folder in his hand: “The contract has been signed, could it be fake?”
John Roth snatched the folder from Carson Flores’s hand and scrutinized the contract.
The eighteen million figure was a thorn in John Roth’s eyes.
It was real!
Carson Flores had actually brought Red River Hospital on board!
An eighteen-million-dollar order!
A pang shot through John Roth’s heart.
The sales commission for salespeople is between 3% and 5% of the sales volume, with bigger orders bringing higher commissions.
Eighteen million qualified for the 5% commission rate, meaning the commission would be calculated at 5%.
Carson Flores could earn nine hundred thousand from this one order!
Had he known, he would have personally secured this deal!
Carson Flores pulled back the folder and smiled: “Thank you for your good words.
Diligence does pay off!”
His words sounded like a resounding slap across John Roth’s face.
John Roth’s face turned iron blue, but he was speechless.
Jax Gross reminded: “Brother Carson, you’ve only signed the contract, but there’s still the rest of the process.
First, it needs our company seal, then we send it to the hospital for their seal.
We retrieve a copy after they’ve done so, only then is it complete.”
Carson Flores nodded and, not bothering with John Roth anymore, headed straight to the team leader’s office.
Sergio Combs was flirting with girls online when he saw Carson Flores come in and asked coldly, “What’s up?”
Carson Flores placed the contract on the table: “I closed a deal.
It hasn’t been sealed with the company stamp.
It needs to go through the process.”
“You closed a deal?”
Sergio Combs’s eyes widened, but he quickly realized he had overreacted.
He cleared his throat as a cover, then picked up the contract.
Red River Hospital.
Sergio Combs was surprised internally.
Red River Hospital was a tough nut to crack.
How had this kid stumbled into such luck and closed a deal?
Red River Hospital had been making some major moves lately, with plenty of needs.
Perhaps he picked up some minor scraps.
There was no reason to get rid of this kid now.
Sergio Combs felt vexed as he turned to the page with the amount and suddenly froze in his motion.
“Whoosh!”
Sergio Combs abruptly stood up, and the chair behind him toppled over due to his violent movement.
“Eighteen million!”
Sergio Combs quickly flipped through the contract.
The price was the bid price, and the signature was there.
Everything checked out!
The contract was real!
Sergio Combs inhaled sharply and regained his composure: “Alright, I’ll handle it.
You can go.”
After Carson Flores left, Sergio Combs righted his chair, sat down, and looked at the order, his gaze flickering.
Nine hundred thousand!
It wasn’t that Sergio Combs had never seen nine hundred thousand, but the fact that this sum was falling into Carson Flores’s hands wasn’t just about the money.
If this deal was successful, then he wouldn’t be able to get rid of Carson, and the dignity he lost would be unrecoverable!
What authority would a team leader have if subordinates kept undermining him?
Would anyone listen to what he had to say?
As he was pondering, John Roth slipped in and closed the door.
Seeing Sergio Combs staring blankly at the contract, John Roth knew what he was thinking and said in a low voice, “Team leader, I have a way to kick him out!”
Sergio Combs said in a deep voice, “Go on.”
John Roth whispered: “The contract hasn’t been stamped yet; it only has the initial signatures of the parties handling it.
If we void this contract and reprint it, you sign and stamp the company seal, then we find Director Zhao, ask him to sign again, and have the hospital stamp the contract.
It will still be effective, but it wouldn’t be Carson Flores’s order anymore.”
Sergio Combs’s eyes lit up: “Would Director Zhao agree?”
John Roth spoke swiftly: “It’s the same contract, and there’s no loss to Red River Hospital or Director Zhao.
As the buyer, he wouldn’t care whether it’s Carson Flores or you who signed with him.
He cares about product quality, price, and kickbacks.
Whatever kickback Carson Flores promised, we can give that or even a bit more.
As long as we’re on the same page with Director Zhao, wouldn’t that kick Carson Flores out?”
Sergio Combs’s eyes grew brighter.
This plan might actually…
work?
