Chapter 102: she what

"What’s happening to her?" Ash asked with a panicked voice.

"I don’t know! But I’ll call the healer." Jeremy yelled back pulling out his phone.

Violet stilled in the tub and the light dimmed, but something about her was different. New.

"Hello, any news on the healer? Well, that’s too fucking long, can someone teleport her, Violet isn’t well. Theres something wrong with her." Jeremy shouted on the phone.

"What’s wrong with my baby girl?" Shouted Lilith in the background on the other end of the phone. Jeremy walked a few feet away, to not be too loud. He doesn’t know what happened, but it wasn’t good.

Oliver goes to help Ash pick her up out of the tub but finds himself being shoved away from her by an unknown force. Only allowing Ash to touch her. Ash lifted her out of the bath, water dripping off her and on to the floor. Oliver jumps up and rushes to her shelves in the bathroom for a towel and covers her.

Violet laid unconscious in Ash’s harms as he walked her to the bed and gently placed her on it, tucking her in under the blankets, covering her naked wet body. Her breathing calm and regulated. But her heart, it had an echo that could be heard now. Oliver and Ash looked at each other confused.

Jeremy joined them. The three of them just stood staring at her, unsure what to do. Her bruises had healed, her skin flawless again.

"What the hell was that?" Oliver looked to Ash.

"I don’t know man, but whatever it was, I bet it was those stupid dogs." Ash growled back.

Lilith came running in with the healer.

"Look at my darling girl. Oh, is she okay, tell me healer. You better hope she’s okay or so help me I’ll make you regret ever being born." Lilith growled venomously. The healer shook feeling the murderous intent coming from the Queen of the Damned.

"Understood, my queen." The healer responded.

They all watch intensely.

"Do you mind taking a step back and giving me space to do my work." The healer hissed. If her life was on the line here, the last thing she needed was everyone breathing down her back.

Reluctantly everyone but Ash took a step back.

"I’m not moving, I will stay right here." He grunted.

"Fine, just don’t get in my way." She wasn’t going to be faulted for his overbearingness.

She took hold of Violet’s wrists, and her eyes popped open, and jaw dropped.

"She’s pregnant." The healer said, "About three weeks today, she’s got a heartbeat, very strong for a pureblood girl. She will be strong. Halloween, the night of the blood moon, she will be born. She’s very powerful this one. See a witch about her future."

She looked at the silent room.

Crickets.

She continued, "as for the shockwave, the baby was stressed and it only wants the touch of it’s father, I’m surprised she allowed me."

Everyone turned their heads to Ash. All with the same word in mind.

Pregnant.

Violet was pregnant and it was Ash’s.

Everyone was stunned, they had a priestess review her body and she was told she wasn’t pregnant.

"I’m gonna fire that priestess" Jeremy casually mentions.

"Are you a seerer to healer? How could you tell all that?" Lilith asked.

"No, my queen, I can tell by the magic that correlates with her beat. I can feel both of their magic. And Violet, she is changing, becoming more powerful, it’s as if the two are feeding off each other’s magic and energy constantly. It’s like nothing I’ve ever felt before." The healer answered. "It’s a strange push and pull in the magic that flows with the heartbeats. It’s intense and powerful."

"How odd, why do you think that is?" Lilith asked.

"I don’t have the answer for that, I’ve explained it best I can. There’s nothing wrong with her, she’s just pregnant with a powerful little girl. Congratulations my dark prince." The nurse bowed dismissing herself as politely as possible.

Her powers were better used elsewhere with the severely injured vampires.

Ash still stood silently, taking in everything he just heard and what it all meant for him.

Violet belonged to him now. She was his, and his alone. His woman, his lover, his wife, his queen.

A genuine smile creeped up his lips. His Violet.

"She’s mine." Were the first words he uttered.

Everyone looked to him.

"Hey, congrats on being a dad and being the happy couple. Are you moving into her room, or is she going to girlify yours?" Oliver joked.

Ash growled low, giving him a warning.

"Don’t ruin things for him right by being a douche, Oliver." Jeremy’s normal monotone voice returned.

"I’ll let you be to figure things out. I brought some calming meds, but they’re trash now that she’s pregnant, give them to the other vampires will you Oliver?" Jeremy asked signaling for him to leave too.

"I am going to talk to your father, when she’s ready for company, I would like to be the first to speak with her. That’s barely a request, am I understood Ash?" Lilith asked.

"Yes, grandmother." Ash answered without looking away from Violet.

"Good." She turned and left closing the door behind her.

"Eugene, see to it, no one disturbs them, under any circumstance, or I will have their head." She said to the butler.

"Understood, my queen." Eugene answered and bowed taking a seat on one of the couches in the sitting area at the top of the stairs.

Ash took a seat on the bed next to her. His eyes scanned her face for any signs of distress. Her soft features resting peacefully, like she’s just taking a nap, she looked nothing like someone who was just kidnapped. She looked graceful, delicate. Glowing even. Her beauty was unmatched. And her angelic innocent features melted his cold heart. Sometimes Ash swore he could even feel warmth in his chest when he thought of her. Even though he couldn’t find anything wrong, however he was worried about her, about their baby, his little girl.

That new reality settled in.

He was going to be a father.
