Chapter 118: A gods blessing

"Okay, what the actual fuck just happened?" Arya asked between gasps, her head was spinning, and things were jumbled in her mind. Her head was pounding, it was like for a moment the world went so black she couldn’t breathe. The darkness was suffocating and heavy.
Ash stopped leaning and stood in the door frame, the hair on his body stood up, a chill rolled down him, and that says something, considering he’s a vampire. He wasn’t sure what to make of what he heard, what did all of that mean? And the wolf? Ash was consumed with unanswered questions, and by the looks of it, Arya had no idea either.
What wolf protect a vampire? As if he’d ever let a wolf be that close to his little princess.
Violet listened intensely to every word Arya said. Growing more pale with each word. Was her daughter the one in this prophecy? It certainly wasn’t about her. She wasn’t born from light and shadow.
But Odette would be... Violet’s heart was thundering relentlessly in her chest. She was paralyzed. What did this mean for her child? What would happen to her daughter? All this talk of hell?
"No... No... No..." Violet sat up and started to cry covering her face and tucking herself into her knees. "It’s not supposed to be like this?" frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
"Violet, we’ll figure this out." Ash walked over to reassure her.
"Don’t you dare step into this circle." Arya shouted her voice hardened and filled with authority. Something that sounded odd coming from cute little Arya.
"What the hell are you talking about Arya? I will go and hold my crying wife. If I want too" Ash growled back, taking another step forward. He wasn’t about to let anyone tell him to stay away from his woman.
However, Arya wasn’t the least bit concerned with Ash’s wrath, she snapped her neck to face Ash, glaring daggers in his direction. Her hair began to rise around her as power surged the room. Electricity crackled, creating charged static in the air that surrounded Ash. The hair on Ash’s head and body began to rise with the increased charge in the room.
"The portal to the gods is still open, you step foot in that circle, and it could everything up, come any close and I will burn you with my fire." Arya glared her eyes glowing a faint purple. "So don’t be an idiot and piss of a god." She paused before continuing "Your wrath is nothing compared to the wrath of a god. Do not insult them by stepping into the domain. Inside this circle is their domain."
Ash wouldn’t usually acknowledge anyone denying him access to Violet, but something about Arya’s warning and the power that surged around her was enough to respect her demand, as long as Violet was safe, that is. If anyone, even a god, were to threaten his woman and his daughter safety, he’d end them, or die trying.
"Fine, but close it, Now." He ordered.
"I can’t yet, it won’t let me, almost like it’s waiting for something. All I can do is hold it out and wait." She answered.
"What the hell does that mean?" Ash shouted.
"It means buckle up buttercup, we might be here a while, the gods LOVE to take their sweet ass time, seeing they have eternity and all." Arya grumbled, annoyed herself. It consumed a lot of energy to do this level of opening, and she certainly wasn’t prepared for a whole god to use her as a conduit. There would be so much to discuss among her coven members.
"You’re fucking kidding me? How long will that be?" Ash growled.
"Hell, if I know? You think I want to sit here while this portal consumes my magic? Certainly, you’re not that stupid." She sneered.
"Watch it Arya, you won’t be holding the portal forever." Ash warned with a deep threatening voice.
Arya shot him a sharp and defiant glare.
"I’d set you on fire the minute you got close to me." Arya rebutted. She wasn’t a weak witch by any means, in fact she was a pretty powerful one. She might not be able to beat Ash in a face off, but he’d sure get one hell of a fight from her.
"Stop it, both of you. What else could a god want?" Violet’s voice was soft and shaky. Her body trembled and looked to almost cave in on itself.
"It could be anything. A gift, a threat, more prophecy. The world is their oyster after all, we’re just the pearls it keeps inside.
Violet sighed and looked over at Ash with a heavy heart.
And then suddenly the ground around them started to quake, and a light from the moon came down and landing on Violet’s rounded tummy, then the light dispersed in thousands of pieces of dust before disintegrating in the air around them.
A moon appeared on her stomach before soaking into her belly.
And then the static shifted in the air becoming distorted before Arya waved her hands and then made a slicing gesture. Closing the portal.
"Well looks like the gods granted her a gift." Arya rises from the ground dusting off her dress.
"What kind of gift?" Ash asked.
"Who knows?" Arya pursed her lips and shrugged speaking so casually.
Ash approached Violet, scooping his small queen into his arms. Cradling her.
"Ash, what does this mean for our family?" Violet asked with pleading eyes.
"I don’t know, my love, but we’ll take it one step at a time." Ash hugged her tightly.
"I’ve got to skedaddle back to my coven and find out what they know, I can give you a buzz if I find anything out, and if I don’t, either way I’ll give you a ring, Violet, it’ll be fine. Don’t worry. She’s a strong girl, and the moon goddess herself blessed your daughter. That’s special. I wonder what the blessing will be." Arya tries her best to do the comfort thing. Arya was kind, but comforting was weird for her.
"Please ask and find out whatever you can." Violet looked at Arya with her big pink doe eyes.
"Girl I’ll call you the second I’ve got anything useful. Kay?" Arya walked up to Violet and tussled her hair and then left without another word.
"She’s a strange one." Ash chuckled.
"Ash..." Violet was still plagued with worry.
"Violet, there’s no sense in worrying, we will find some answers, but we need to get ready we flight out in the early evening tomorrow. We still have to pack." He wanted to distract her.
"You’re right Ash. Thanks for being my rock. I’m so grateful you are my forever." She pulled herself to meet his cheek and kissed him softly.
Ash tingled where her lips touched his face.
"I love you." Ash whispered to her softly.
Violet purred in his arms.
When they got inside Rosa was the first to greet them. "What did Arya say? And where is she?"
"She left already you don’t see her leave?" Violet raised her eyebrow skeptically.
"Nope, I’ve been standing by the door waiting for you guys." Rosa stood arms crossed. That’s when Rosa noticed her friends tear stained face.
"Violet, hey, why do you look like you’ve been crying?" Rosa rushed forward.
Instinctively Ash gave Rosa a low growl. He didn’t like anyone moving fast around his pregnant woman, even the people he trusted most. It was like anything could threaten to rip her away from him. The prophecy had him on edge and reactive.
"Ash, chill. I was her friend before you ever gave a real fuck about her, so bite your lips if you want to growl." Rosa hissed at him for his aggressive reaction.
"What’s this? A cat fight?" Olive walked up his phone in his hand while he plays one of his many games. "Want to beta test with me one more time before we leave, and you become my queen and I just a lonely subject."
"We don’t have time, idiot, we’ve got to pack." Ash took this opportunity to turn the conversation away from Violet, he knew she needed sometime to process what she heard. He’d have to talk to his grandmother about it when they arrived in Bucharest.
"Ouch, so bitey tonight. Fine, ya big bully, I’ll play with her after packing." Oliver walked away after that not wanting to give Ash the chance to argue back.
"Rosa, we’ll talk later okay, I need to pack and have some time to myself before I leave. Love you." Violet smiled sweetly at Rosa.
But Rosa knew a fake smile when she saw one. Violet was just holding herself together by a thread. She had half a mind to keep pushing Violet but decided against it. Her best friend would tell her when she was ready.
"I love you too mi hija"
