Chapter 125: I have important news
***BIG SPOILER ALERT FOR ’I WAS KIDNAPPED FOR REVENGE BY A RUTHLESS ALPHA’ IF YOU DON’T WANT A BIG PLOT SPOILER, SKIP THIS Chapter.***
NO SERIOUSLY THIS Chapter IS A BIG SPOILER. DON’T SAY I DIDN’T WARN YOU.
"I need you to join me in speaking with my coven. It’s powerful magic binding a god’s ability, you know? I’ll need to draw from them to cast it." Arya mentions. She was a powerful witch, especially for someone who wasn’t pure blooded. She had diluted blood. She doesn’t know which side of her family had a witch, but she was grateful it didn’t skip this generation like it had the others.
The coven found Arya one day after accidentally setting a park on fire. And took her away from her family. She still gets to see them, talks to them all the time, but she lived with coven, ate with the coven, and slept with coven. They wanted to train her to be The Mother once the Crone passes away. But that would require a life of chastity, and she wanted to be an actual mother not just the covens Mother. Maiden, Mother, Crone. The leaders of coven, they belonged to the coven. Arya wasn’t interested in any of that, she didn’t want to give her life to the coven, just simply be a part of it.
"Of course, should I ask them myself?" Violet questioned.
"Oh nooo. That won’t be necessary, I just need you to tell them and be present, its procedure, nothing more. Don’t stress it." Arya reassured Violet.
Arya knew asking for a power collective was actually, a big ask. But it was necessary. If what Violet said was true, then they needed the collective power to bind Odette.
And only the coven could explain what that means.
"We’ll need to meet with them as soon as possible, it’s a big spell." Arya wasn’t lying the spell would take over a month to write and prepare. Binding rituals were already hard enough, but the binding this. That was something else entirely.
"I have a lunch with everyone, can it be done after?" Violet asked.
"Yes, but it has to be before dawn. You’ll have to skip dinner." Arya admitted.
Violet frowned. The idea of going without dinner was appalling to her. Ever since she started getting morning sickness, hunger had become unbearable.
"Can I pack dinner?" Violet asked pleadingly.
"Would it kill you to wait?" Arya asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yes." Violet pouted moving her legs restlessly.
Arya rolled her eyes "Fine. Pack your dinner. Don’t want to deprive the child with god like power her meal. I wouldn’t want to burn for an eternity."
Violet jumped up excitedly.
The chiming of the clock stopped Violet dead in her tracks.
"Shoot" Violet grabbed Aryas hands and said "It’s time for my luncheon; I’m going to be late." She rushed toward the door, slamming on her heels she quickly turned and asked "Should I bring Ash?"
"No, the coven’s inner circle is for women only." She answered firmly.
Violet sighed, Ash wasn’t going to like that answer. Not one bit. "Should I meet you back here?"
"Sure, we can meet up with my coven after you come back." Arya answered.
"Okay. Gotta run." Violet left, quickly shutting the door behind her.
Arya let out a sigh of relief.
How do you tell your best friend her daughter is a goddess in human skin? How does anyone tell anyone that?
Arya was stressed by how to tell Violet.
She suspected something like this after the prophecy. Moon child. Ha. Who would have thought they meant it literally. Prophecies aren’t usually so clear in their definition. She thought fate was cruel like that. Playing word games as dangerous as mind games.
Arya pulled a pretty antique like compact mirror from the pocket of her pants. Opening it up, she focused her magic on it and pictured the three leaders in her mind.
"Yes child." The Crone answered. Her voice was raspy and aged. Like she smoked a lot of cigarettes. In reality, she just yelled a lot, so she always sounded hoarse. But the Crone never yelled at Arya. The young girl reminded The Crone of herself, in her younger years.
"Oh good, I was hoping it would be you who answered." Arya said into the Witch’s Glass.
The old woman chuckled.
"You are a funny one, now child, why is it you call." The Crone asked.
"I need to call a council meeting I have news." Arya answered.
"What news do you have?" The Crone asked curiously.
"In the meeting. We need magic to hide the words that need to be said." Arya wasn’t taking any risks with the information she had.
"That serious, oh my, when should it be convened?" The Crone had a slight edge to her tone.
"Now." Arya was firm and precise with her tone and language; she needed The Crone to take her seriously. She needed the old woman to have a sense of urgency.
"Oh... That’s a hard ask. The Mother is away, she left this morning." The Crone answered.
"Then tell her to take the fae rings back or use her stones." Arya insisted "Whatever she is doing is not more important than what I have to say."
"Okay, okay, dear. I’ll bring her back. We’ll meet in the forest, I’ll set the barrier."
"See you soon." Arya quickly shut the mirror. She grabbed her coat and left immediately for the forest.
She weaved through the crowded castle unnoticed by anyone. She was short and looked human, so the people here paid her no mind.
Slipping through the castles defense’s easily, she quickly moved through the town until she reached the forests on the outskirts of the city. She was sure to duck and weave through the street, as to not be followed. The world had ears and eyes in every wall and it was better to say what she knew behind a veil.
Arya arriving at the forest followed the weaves of magic to where The Crone and The Maiden moved in perfect unison casting a boundary spell. They’d make a blanket of silence and cloak the area with it. They would hear nothing, and the outside would hear and see nothing.
"Hey guys. Glad you could make it." Arya greeted.
The Maiden annoyed, rolled her eyes. She didn’t like Arya, The Maiden was a pureblood and wasn’t anywhere near as powerful as Arya was, and it irked her to the very core.
"Whatever you have to say better be important, I left a perfectly good SPA appointment for this." The Maiden’s tone sounded very unforgiving of the interruption to her day. This was as close to a vacation as she’d probably ever get, and this stupid dirty blooded witch had to go and spoil it all.
"Mind your manners Maiden don’t make me freeze your tongue and give you warts. Or maybe I’ll turn you green, so you look like the wicked witch you are." Arya sneered at the girl. Her rank might be higher, but her abilities paled in comparison to Arya’s.
"Screw you dirty blood." The Maiden spit on the ground in disgust.
"That is not how a member of this council acts, Maiden get a grip and act in a manner befitting of your station." The Mother stepped forward from a portal. Picking the stone off the ground and putting it back in the pocket of her cloak.
With the arrival of the mother the circle could now be completed, and the blanket of silence was casted over them.
"Now tell us, child. What is so important you needed immediate action to this extent?"
"A goddess will be born under the moon. The Daughter of Artemis will arrive." Arya just dropped a massive bomb on the women in the circle. And she said it as casually as someone who pointed out a bumper sticker.
Am eerie silence swept over the circle. None one dared speak as they all processed the words Arya just spoke to them.
Seconds turned into minutes.
"You’re fucking kidding me, right?" The Maiden spoke first.
"No, I’m not, actually, things are getting a little insane right now. I mean inside my friend’s stomach is a little goddess with divine power and is already in possession to Divine Fyre magic. She damned a man last night at the coronation. She damned a man to burn for eternity and she’s still in the womb." Arya announce cautiously.
The Maiden shut her mouth. Afraid if she opened it again, more bad news would spill out of Arya’s mouth.
Arya couldn’t wait anymore, their silence was deafening. She’s never heard The Maiden stunned silent before. If anything, one could always count on her sarcasm.
"We have to bund her powers because if we don’t, we could have a toddler running around setting the whole god damn world on fire because she doesn’t want to take a nap? That would be bad, we can all agree. Right?" Arya broke the silence.
"And what of the prophecy are we sure that’s what the prophecy said?" Asked The Mother.
"Yes of course I’m sure, why wouldn’t I be sure I was fucking there at the summoning circle. I didn’t remember anything, but I recorded the whole thing in the Glass." Arya pulls out her compact mirror and replays the incident for the three witches.
"How long will it take to prepare for spell? Do you know?" Arya asked
"It’ll take a while, how long until the little goddess is born." The Crone asked
"Bloodmoon, on Halloween." Arya answered
"Well that’s not long at all."
