The Gentle Maiden and Five Lustful Brothers-Chapter 46: the things we do for love

After last night the three of them were exhausted and slept pretty good. Violet was the first to wake up. They’d slept most of the day, it was early evening now around 5pm. Jeremy had his concerto to attend tonight. And Violet planned on surprising him with flowers. She would go to the mall with Rosa around 6:30p to go shopping before the show. They would be attending it together. It was Rosa’s first formal event so she had no idea what to wear or anything. Violet was excited to help. They’d texted about it after lunch yesterday.

Violet hurried upstairs and called Rosa.

’Rosa! Are we still meeting up at 6:30?’ – Violet

Violet hung up the phone and quickly readied herself for her mall adventure with her best friend.

Appearing from the closet with a pair of khaki colored dress slacks, a white blouse with a frilled collar and a pink petticoat. It was a cool cloudy day out, so Violet needed to dress warmly. Ash was leaning against her bedroom door.

"Going somewhere?" Ash asked.

Violet was so startled she dropped her clothes on the ground when she screamed and jumped.

"Hmmm... You didn’t punch me." Ash teased "Should I be jealous?"

"Oh my gosh ASH! You’re incorrigible!" Violet yelled at him "You scared me half to death!" Violet takes her slipper off and chucks at him, and missing.

"I’m sorry, I’m sorry, come here." Ash said approaching her.

Violet rolled her eyes and then smiled opening her arms for him to scoop her, when he does he holds her close, her body fitting perfectly in his hands. Her arms rest on his chest, he held her so high, she was able to look down at Ash before kissing him deeply.

"But really where do you think you’re going?" Ash asked looking up at her.

"To the mall! Rosa wants to come with me to see Jeremy play tonight. But she doesn’t have anything to wear." Violet answered "I don’t think she even knows what to buy, so I have to go with her."

"Alright, well I’m going with you then." Ash said.

"Really? You’ll come with!" Violet said excitedly.

"Can’t let you go off alone can I?" Ash asked jokingly "I’m going to get changed meet me downstairs in 20."

"Okay!" Violet said hurriedly.

Ash let Violet go and left. Violet quickly showered and applied some light makeup. Checking herself out in her mirror, she thought she looked super pretty and mature. Picking out a pink purse and a pair of matching pink flats I rush downstairs.

Ash was sitting in the living room alone playing games on his phone. He was wearing a black blazer over a grey hoodie. He had matching black pants and a pair of black and grey Nike’s.

He looked like movie star, so tall and handsome, he looked so well dressed.

"Ready?" Violet asked.

"Yeah, let’s go." Ash answered standing up "What car should we take?"

"Something fast and cool." Violet answered gleefully.

"How about we take your car?" Ash suggested.

"I don’t have a car, Ash, don’t be silly." Violet laughed.

"You do now. Happy Birthday." Ash said tossing her a set of keys. "Go figure out which car."

"Wait are you serious!?" Violet shouted completely shook from Ash’s words.

"Yes, it’s from Gabriel." Ash said.

"Gabriel gave me a car as a birthday present?" Violet was so confused, was this real? She didn’t even a license.

"You’re kidding." Violet was stunned.

"Nope. Now go find it already we’re gonna be late." Ash said shooing her off.

Violet tries the lock and unlock button lighting up the dim garage. Approaching she finds a white Porsche with black rims. Opening the car door she finds white and pink leather seats and a black and pink dash board. The car already had a cute bunny shaped air freshener hanging in the rearview mirror. It was adorable and it was so Violet.

"Ash I love it, who picked it out? Was it actually Gabriel." Violet asked.

"Gabe gave the instructions to his secretary to make it happen. It’s custom, so he designed it himself. The bunny thing was probably the secretary." Ash answered her.

Violet grabbed Ash and hugged him tightly.

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you." Violet was crying because she was so happy. These brothers were really starting to take care of her. She couldn’t believe how much has changed in the last few months.

"I’ll drive since you don’t have your license yet. Let’s go." Ash said opening the passenger door for Violet. After she talked her seat even reaches over and plugs in her seat belt for her.

Violet blushed, turning a bright pink, almost rivaling her hair color. Seeing this made Ash smile. He liked that he made her nervous sometimes, it was a nice reminder that she liked him.

Ash climbed into the driver seat and took off. The car drove smooth, and you could barely hear it’s engine. Ash sped down the roads, whipping the car.

"Stop Ash, please slow down!" Violet yelled "You’re scaring me."

This only made Ash smile, speeding up, he started to play with Violet scarring her by whipping harder and making closer calls.

Violet was screaming "stop, oh my gosh please" finally into the city he breaks at a stop light. Violet was clutching her chest, panting.

"Don’t do that, this is MY car remember and I forbid you from driving like that in it." Violet pushed her chin up snubbing him, crossing her arms across her chest.

"Oh come on, I was only having a little fun." Ash said trying to convince Violet to forgive him, "I’m sorry,"

"That doesn’t make it okay, but, I forgive you. For now. I won’t forgive you the next time, so there better not be one.

Arriving at Rosa’s place they find her waiting outside.

"Took ya’ll long enough." Rosa teased "Wow nice car Ash, I didn’t take you for a pink guy."

"I’m not it’s Violet’s birthday present from my oldest brother." Ash answered.

"Girl you mean to tell you got a car for your birthday?" Rosa said with her eyebrow lifted.

"Yep!" Violet said loudly.

"My best friend drives a Porsche. No one back at my old school would believe me if I told them." Rosa said as she climbed in the backseat. "If it’s your car why is he driving and not your?"

"Because I don’t have my license, yet." Violet confessed.

"But she will before her birthday." Ash reassured them as he interrupted them.

Pulling away from Rosa’s they head to the mall.

Parking in the VVIP parking garage Ash Open’s the door for Violet, and extends a hand to help her out.

"Thank you" she said.

Violet takes them to the first dress store. "I think gold will be the color that will look best on you. Let’s go look." Violet said to Rosa, grabbing Rosa by the hand and dragging her quickly into look at the dresses.

"Look at this dress!" Violet yanks Rosa over to look at long floor length dress that hugged her curves and showed off her back.

"No, mi hija, this ain’t it. This ain’t me. I need something a little... shorter..."

Rosa said twisting her body to see different angles of herself in the mirror.

"Shorter?" Violet asked confirming.

"Yes shorter, do I look like the kind of girl that wear long dresses?" Rosa said giving Violet a look.

"I think you’re right." Violet said, "let’s go to a different store, this one’s going to mainly have long formal dresses."

They leave that store and head to another one with more options in Rosa’s fashion. Passing a kiosk with cute little souvenirs and knickknacks.

"Look at this!" Violet says stopping to look at a bracelet set. It was a best friends set. It was a heart broken in two halves. The bracelet was made of silver. It was a very simple bracelet, just a chain and charm that says "friends forever".

"We have to get them, wear it with me forever and ever? Please..." Violet pleaded with Rosa.

"Really Mi hija, this?"

"Yeah, it’s a charm bracelet, we can gift each other charms, it would be so cut, don’t you think?" Violet looked at Rosa, her eyes big and filled with hope. Rosa looked at her adorable face, and no matter how lame the bracelet looked, she couldn’t find it in herself to say no.

"Fine, Fine. I’m going to buy them though." Rosa said taking them from her hands and bringing them to the kiosk attendant.

"Just these, please." Rosa paid for the bracelets and then unpackaged them. Handing one to Violet and Rosa fastens the bracelet she’s holding around Violet’s wrist. And then stuck her wrist out for Violet. Violet clipped the bracelet on Rosa’s wrist.

"This is a ball and chain, linking us together forever!" Violet said grabbing Rosa’s hand, and when she did, the two hearts snapped together. "Oh my gosh they’re magnetic!"

"Okay, that’s cool, I’ll give you that one." Rosa said with a smile and she genuinely meant it.
