Chapter 95: she had to get to violet

SHIFTER POV:

Ursula looked in the bag on the floor and found a pair of black stilettoes. Picking up the box Atlas had left on the bed; she opened it to find a stunning dark pine colored dress. Design with delicate beaded gems sewn into the top and hem of the dress. It was a mermaid style dress that hugged every curve of her body down to her knees, where the dress fanned out. A small train hug behind the dress.

It was truly a stunning piece of art. And with her short hair and silver eyes she’d be sure to turn heads and knock’em dead.

A knock came at the door interrupting her examination of the dress. The servant didn’t wait for the ’okay’ to enter, she just opened the door and helped herself right in.

It was Carly, her usual maid.

"Hey, Ursula, ready for hair and makeup? You’ve got a gala to attend tonight." Carly mentions with her usual uppity attitude.

Ursula enjoyed her maid, even developed a sort of friendship with her. When she first arrived and became Atlas fiancé, Carly had helped her through those first nights with him. Her mother being with the Alpha’s uncle put a target on her back, but Carly didn’t mind her "whore" mother, as many nobles called her. So whenever it Carly serving her, she always felt better.

"I know, are you working the Gala, or enjoying the commoner’s festival?" Ursula asked hoping her maid wouldn’t be at the Gala tonight.

"I am working the Gala, sadly." Carly said with disappoint in her voice.

Ursula’s heart sank. She had an eerie feeling about tonight, the last thing she wanted was for her maid to get caught in the crossfires of Selene’s plan, and her rescue of Violet. She would never forgive herself if something happened to Carly because of her.

But then it wasn’t all her fault, if Atlas had never kidnapped Violet this wouldn’t even be a nonissue.

She also had this worry about the Vampire Princes and what they had planned for getting Violet back. Whatever it was, she couldn’t wait. She had to get Violet. She had to save her friend.

VAMPIRES POV:

The vampires were gearing up for a full assault on the wolves, they would be going in the cover of darkness. During their full moon Event tonight. They would decimate the entire clan.

Lilith was leading the charge. The

The sheer audacity of them to take someone of such value from their clan, they couldn’t stand such insolence.

Ash though... he was tearing his room apart in frustration, the fact they were forcing him to stay put was driving him utterly insane, his mind was ripping at the seams. No one dare disturb him, they knew it would be a death sentence if they did. His pictures ripped off the wall, a mirror laid in shattered shards on the ground. His computer smashed to pieces. His desk broken with jagged edges from being obliterated by his murderous rage.

Ash was inconsolable, and the rest of the brothers weren’t much better. Oliver was a disaster; he’s never looked so unkept. Charisma was what he lived for. His skin looked sickly, and bags hung under his eyes. His hair lifeless and flat.

Jeremy, he was doing his best to say busy, brooding more than usual, his aura was occupied to the point of being unapproachable. He’d been focused on making wolfsbane poison so they could dip their nails and drink some. He planned to feed it to every vampire and mortal who assembled for the rescue.

Even the wolves that fight and survive will be poisoned. Wolfsbane was toxic to wolf shifters, that’s how it got its name. Some could die, some could be disconnected from their wolf temporarily or in a few cases, permanently. It caused pain, sickness, dizziness, and sometimes even death. Jeremy would be sure every wolf they came in contact would know suffering.

Rosa, Arya and Viktoria were unsure of Ursula’s part in all of this and were debating on what to do with her when they found her.

"There’s no way Ursula would betray us, betray her." Rosa defended her.

Viktoria snorted, "Yeah, as if a wolf could be anything other than a dog."

"Dogs are loyal, you do know that right, Viktoria?" Arya quietly added.

"Shut it mortal, no one asked you." Viktoria snapped back, hiding her embarrassment behind aggression.

"No, you shut it, this is about Violet and Ursula. Seriously, get over yourself." Rosa jumped at Viktoria "What are we going to do if she’s in trouble too?"

"Save her too, of course. We can’t leave her just because she’s a wolf." Arya insists.

"I agree, if she’s innocent she should be spared and if she’s in trouble, we save her." Rosa agreed.

"And if she’s a treacherous bitch, then what?" Viktoria asked curtly.

"Eat her, of course." Viktor said popping into the room leaning against the door.

"Shoot, Viktor you scared me. I didn’t even hear you come in. Is Roland here yet?" Arya gripped her chest readjusting her heart rate.

"Yes, he has, as well as many of the other vampires in our school. We have a whole army waiting downstairs and outback. Jeremy has been helping arm us. He has some stuff he made for the witches from your coven and the wizards that came with Roland." Viktor informed them of the status update.

"Well, well, well, seems we’re almost ready." Viktoria looked at her brother with a devious smile, already plotting what she was going to do to those dirty dogs. Especially for taking what belongs to her people. Taking HER Queen.

"We’re waiting for the moon to rise to its fullest, when the Gala is the most distracted, when they let their guard down." Viktor thought of this, rather than an early assault, they’d do a later one, it would limit the time they had to accomplish their mission, but it provided the best chance at success. They would wait until they’re comfortable, cocky, and unguarded, that’s when they’d strike.
