Chapter 47 - 47: THE REVENGE

San Wei walked towards the Podium, with that strange red aura enveloping him. And he declared the next action for beginning the kingdom of Sadvi. All the villagers gathered around him, listening carefully.

"All men, we are going to war with the soldiers of the royal capital! We are going to destroy them!"

The words sparked an uncontrollable rage within the people. The rice they promised never arrived, and Lady Ri Ah was killed for the King's pleasure. The sea of people roared with rage.

"Let's kill them!!!"

All of them got onto the horses and raced to the capital. An army of 50 men headed to destroy the capital, and amidst them, Houki also rode.

The hawk made its way to the royal palace, cutting through the skies carrying the message. After successfully reaching the palace, the decipherers deciphered the message, and they instantly presented it before Suryavarma. The royal court doors opened, and the head of the internal affairs appeared before the King.

In front of all of the royals, he bowed, and also before the king, he did the same. The king gave the order to read the message.

"My lord, this is a message from our spy Xin Ri. He has noticed an army of 50 men heading towards the royal capital, all of them led by San Wei, the chief of the Sadvi village. Their intentions are not pure, and most likely it's the sign of a revolt"

A discussion spread among the royals after hearing this. They were feared as internal revolts can be critical and decide the phase of development of the Licchavi kingdom. They couldn't afford to lose their precious army in internal battles as a great war was approaching.

"I will resolve this issue via peace talks"

Bhadrak conveyed to everyone. His intentions of peace talks with the people of Sadvi. He also stated that he needs an army of 20 men and some weapons.

"Your wish has been granted, General Bhadrak"

Suryavarma gave the order to supply the general as per his requirement, and all the court factions agreed to it. Bhadrak set out to neutralise the revolt along with 20 men. He left the palace from the South Gate.

At the same time, Houki ordered the people to divide and approach the royal capital in two directions. 25 people will attack through the south gate, and the other 25 through the North. The one with Houki and San Wei took the direction of the South Gate.

The other 25 men traversed across the plains and finally had the gate in their view. The leader in that group commanded the rest of them to hit the gate with all of their force.

"Destroy the gate!"

The army was going through a plain with steep hills on both sides, a few miles away. The hills had lots of trees in them. A sudden voice of something cutting through the wind caught their ears. They checked it, observing the plane.

SFX: SHLRP!

A sharp arrow hit the head of a man. He fell, with blood pooling on the ground, painting his horse red. The group was terrified after that experience.

"Leader!!"

"Ah! I know, head fast, it's the soldiers!!"

"They should be on the walls, but these people are on those hills"

"Hills...?"

The leader observed, and there were several of those black dressed men standing there. He recognised that attire, he recalled, he had seen those same figures somewhere, with someone. And that figure's face came to his mind.

"They are L..."

SFX: SHLRP!

A rain of arrows emerged from the hills, hitting every man in the group, making several holes in their bodies and piercing through their brains. All of them fell, and in an instant, the plain became the graveyard of fallen men. The leader's dead eyes stayed frozen in that heat, reflecting the vultures that circled the corpses in the air.

Bhadrak noticed that the army of villagers was travelling a few miles from the capital. He ordered his men to engage them.

"Soldiers! Engage!"

The soldiers accelerated to the front, revealing their swords and ready to clash. The villagers prepared their hoes and poles to hit them. In an instant, both armies clashed. Bhadrak entered into that chaos and slashed several villagers. The villagers stood no chance against those well-trained war veterans. For Bhadrak, it was a walk in the park, defeating all those 25 farmers. That moment, Bhadrak felt a strange presence approaching him; it was really fast, like a thunderbolt.

SFX: SHRP!

A sword entered Bhadrak's chest through his back and exited through his chest. He bled through his mouth, his eyes bloodshot. Houki stood behind him, holding the sword on his back.

"Bhadrak, a wolf should never let his guard down even amidst a flock of sheep"

"Houki, why...are ye..?!"

Bhadrak made an effort to question Houki about this betrayal. His mouth shivered, and he couldn't talk straight. Houki quickly slashed and killed all of those 20 war veterans in an instant. Blood spattered like rain, that moment it was a blood bath. All the villagers stood awestruck at Houki. After wiping them off, Houki stared at the villagers.

"Lord..lord Houki, why are you..you looking like that?"

One of them asked Houki, his words were wobbly after seeing all of that. But San Wei was strangely calm. That strange black figure appeared behind him again, the black aura enveloped him.

"San Wei...I never thought that you were a God wielder"

Houki observed the newborn god wielder for a second and complimented him. He smiled at San Wei.

"God Wilder...? San Wei?"

All of them stood confused and stared at San Wei, recalling how San Wei's attitude changed after yesterday's events.

"Answer me, was Ri Ah used for the king's pleasures or your pleasure?"

SFX: LAUGH

Houki started to laugh like a lunatic after hearing that question. He unpinned his hair and smiled at San Wei.

"Obviously for mine"

The others were terrified at that reply, using a woman for his pleasure, using the people of the village for his benefit.

"Just who are you, Houki?"

The infuriated San Wei asked Houki while he drew out his sword. San Wei's eyes glowed with that strange black colour.

San Wei dashed to kill Houki. He drew out his sword and clashed it with Houki's. But his sheer force was beyond San Wei's control. Again, they clashed, and sparks emerged from the swords. At that moment, something weird happened inside San Wei's head; it was visual.

"What are these scenes?"

San Wei's body started to do those same motions reflexively, those same precise movements.

Are these... my memories? Someone else's? Why do they feel like mine?

San Wei leapt from his horse, flipped mid-air, caught Houki's sword with his feet, and tossed it into his hand. He controlled his motion in the air and headed towards Houki in mid-air to slash his head.

SFX: PUNCH

Houki's fist hit San Wei's head like a hammer. Cracking his skull and destroying his head from the inside. That sheer strength was beyond San Wei to counter.

"My..vision is blurring?"

"This is Houki...?"

"What was I doing here?"

"What are those guys doing here?"

That punch destroyed San Wei's brain, creating a short-term memory loss. San Wei's body moved again and blocked off Houki's attack.

"Why is my body moving like this?"

Houki was astonished by San Wei's resolve to an extent that brought tears to his eyes.

"This man's resolve, although the mind forgot, but the body still remembers it"

Houki gave San Wei a dreaded smile and appeared right before him. San Wei's body couldn't respond to it, and Houki's sword drilled through San Wei's neck, crushing his throat.

San Wei's heart ceased to beat. But at that moment, something happened that even Houki refused to believe.

"He is choking me...?"

San Wei's hands were around Houki's neck, still alive and mustering up the strength in a dead body. All the others didn't have the power to interfere in that fight.

"He is dead!"

"But what is he...?"

The frustrated Houki couldn't remove his hands, he couldn't breathe anymore. A dead body was doing all of this to him. freeweɓnøvel.com

"Ri Ah...this is my last gift to you"

"A dead body spoke?"

"This is the power of God"

Houki resonated with the deity he possessed, making a deep connection and instantly, all of the memories rushed to his head. All of those moves were again in his body.

Houki clenched his fist and punched San Wei's neck. His fist tore through the flesh, breaking off his neck and decapitating his head from the body. San Wei's strength ceased, and now his body was a normal corpse. Or rather, Houki forced his body to become a normal corpse. He stamped on San Wei's body and stood amidst those dead bodies like a daredevil bathed in blood. All the others instantly fled from there to save their own lives.

Miles away, the merchant group was also facing adversity. Blood pooled on the ground from Jin's mouth, and that strange individual stood before the hut. Destroyed all of that in an instant with his sword. All of them returned and instantly reacted to that. Taking their weapons, they surrounded him, with Yadav in the centre.

"Hm... I can feel it, you are Sukoh Yadav"
