The Heavenly Demon of Terror-Chapter 279: Azure Horizon Vault
Chapter 279 - Azure Horizon Vault
Owen's POV
Location: Dubai — Azure Horizon Vault — Midnight
The desert winds outside were nothing compared to the chill that ran through these titanium walls.
I stood at the edge of the Azure Horizon Vault, one of the most secure offshore treasure troves in the world.
Gold, black bonds, cryptocurrency drives, priceless artworks — you name it.
All hidden behind the kind of security that would make a military bunker look like a kid's toy.
And somewhere inside?
Willam Yates' secret accounts and stolen wealth.
I cracked my neck slowly, pulling my gloves tighter.
The building gleamed under the moonlight — a glass and steel fortress.
Perfect.
"System," I whispered under my breath, "map the security patterns."

Heh. So he hired assassins too?
Getting paranoid, old man?
I activated Beast Instincts, feeling the heartbeat of everything around me.
I could taste the tension.
Time to get moving.
---
[Inside the Vault - 00:32 AM]
I slithered between two moving laser grids, almost like a ghost.
One wrong breath, and alarms would rain down hell.
A shadow moved near the vault entrance.
Assassin.
Clad in all black, dual daggers, face masked.
Judging from his posture — fast type, aggressive.
He didn't even hear me.
Pity.
I flicked a coin to the far side of the hall.
The assassin's head snapped toward it.
And in that instant, I was behind him.
One quick strike to the neck — down.
No noise. No blood.
I caught his body before it hit the ground and hid it behind the vent system.
One down. Three to go.
---
As I advanced deeper, two assassins dropped from the ceiling, blades flashing like hungry wolves.
"He's here!" one of them hissed.
I smirked under my mask.
Feral Blitz — Activate.
My claws shredded the air, a whirlwind of relentless slashes.
They tried to block — too slow.
In less than three seconds, both of them were on the ground — groaning, defeated.
Did Willam seriously think I'd be stopped by amateurs?
---
[Vault Core — 00:45 AM]
Finally, the main chamber.
A gigantic titanium vault door stood between me and the truth.
And in front of it — the last assassin.
She was different.
White combat suit, long silver hair, and a rapier-like weapon crackling with electricity.
Her eyes were cold as the void.
"You shouldn't have come, beast."
I grinned under my mask.
"You shouldn't have stayed."
She dashed first, thrusting her blade with deadly precision.
Fast. Too fast for a normal human.
But not for me.
I sidestepped, grabbed her wrist, and twisted — snapping the weapon from her hands.
She spun to kick, but I caught her ankle mid-air and slammed her into the ground with a thunderous crack.
Stay down.
She passed out instantly.
---
I walked up to the vault door.
[Insert Biometric Access.]
"Biometric?" I muttered, amused.
Good thing I already... borrowed Willam's thumbprint from his previous "business" trips.
I pressed it onto the scanner.
A soft beep.
The door hissed open.
Inside?
Stacks of gold bars, files marked with black seals, USB drives containing offshore codes...
And a very interesting hard drive labeled:
"Project: Purge Owen"
Tch.
So you were planning to kill me again, old man?
I stepped inside, pulling out a bag to collect the evidence and cash.
---
[Inner Thoughts]
Step one: Cripple his finances.
Step two: Crush his alliances.
Step three: Drag Willam Yates into the hell he built for others.
---
I zipped the bag shut.
As alarms started to wail in the distance, I casually threw on my jacket, slung the bag over my shoulder, and muttered:
"Another empire falling...
And the King of Beasts walks free."

Samuel's POV
Location: Human World – Blackridge Summit, Midnight Skies
The clouds parted like trembling curtains as I stepped through the breach — a rift carved between realms, swirling with silver flames and pitch-dark winds.
My boots touched the cracked stone of the mortal world's highest peak — Blackridge Summit.
The moment I arrived, the atmosphere shifted.
Electric. Tense.
Alive.
I inhaled deeply. The scent of this realm... the fear, the ambition, the chaos — it hadn't changed.
But he had.
"Owen Yates..." I muttered, a low grin curving across my lips.
My senses stretched out like invisible tendrils, brushing over the ley lines of the Earth... and there it was — his energy. Vast. Wild. Controlled... yet brimming with something deeper.
The beast within has awakened.
I stepped toward the edge of the cliff and looked down at the glowing cities far below.
Mortals scrambling like ants, unaware that titans had begun to move once more.
"He's changed," I said to the wind, my eyes glowing faintly crimson.
"Stronger. Sharper. Less... human."
The wind howled in agreement, or perhaps fear.
I reached into my coat and pulled out a shard of crystal — one of the last remnants of Bitch Bardot's soul core. It still pulsed weakly, a flickering memory of the wrath I unleashed upon her.
I clenched my fist, crushing it into ash.
"Owen walks the path I carved," I said.
"Let's see if he has the resolve to finish it."
The stars above shimmered oddly — as if watching.
As if the world itself knew that Samuel Gebb, the Harbinger of Destruction, had returned.
And this time, I wasn't here to burn cities.
I was here to see what kind of king that beast could become.
