The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife-Chapter 447 - Are you going to deal with them anytime soon?
Chapter 447: Chapter 447 - Are you going to deal with them anytime soon?
"You don’t have to be afraid of anything. This time around, I will make sure that they don’t cause us any more trouble," Robin said softly to his wife. Sabrina smiled broadly, believing his promise without doubts.
"Thank you, my king."
Robin smiled and stared at her gown. He knew how much she loved it but it was time to change from it.
"Now let’s get you changed from this gown."
"No. You two, and I mean four of you should go home," Devin said behind them, referring to Daniel and Lizzy as well.
Matilda was asleep and Devin didn’t think she would wake up any time soon. It would be good for everybody to have a good rest.
Sabrina frowned imperceptibly, not wanting to leave the side of her best friend at this point in time.
"I’m not leaving. I’m staying with Matilda."
"I’m her husband and I’m here for her," Devin explained calmly, Sabrina wanted to counter when Devin added, "you haven’t even enjoyed your wedding and you put your honeymoon on hold. Please come back tomorrow."
Indeed, due to their enemies, Sabrina had had a few fears along the line during the entire wedding celebration.
It was time to make her husband happy as well, even if they would not be able to make it for their honeymoon until their enemies were dealt with.
She also had enough breast milk stored for the twins so everything seemed to be in perfect harmony after all.
"I didn’t ask what you decided to call him," Sabrina asked, referring to the newborn. Devin smiled dreamily and replied,
"I decided on Mark Cage but I’m yet to discuss with my wife. If she agrees, fair enough but if not, then I would go by whatever she chooses to name him."
"Isn’t Mark dear to you?" Robin asked, feeling that for as long as he mentioned the name, then it must be important to him.
Also, he couldn’t help feeling that Devin had chosen the name in honor of his wife. Mark and Matilda sounded great together.
Devin’s smile did not waver as he explained, "It is, but you should have seen how much pain she endured to birth our child. I don’t think there is anything I can give to make it up to her."
Being with his wife and seeing her endure all the pain when neither he nor the doctors could do anything about it left him on the edge, feeling utterly useless.
Robin could relate to it quite well, coupled with the prank Sabrina managed to pull alongside the whole thing and asked,
"Do you want more kids?"
Devin would have indeed loved more kids, but knowing that it wasn’t possible, he didn’t want to hope for it.
"I don’t want to think about that. This is already a miracle."
"What if..." Sabrina wanted to say that what if Matilda got pregnant again, but it was as if Devin already knew what she wanted to ask and kicked against it,
"Please Brina, we were fortunate to have one and I’m very grateful for it."
Sabrina didn’t try to argue about it, knowing that indeed, Matilda might not be able to have another child. She subtly ended the conversation by saying,
"I will see you tomorrow then."
Devin smiled mischievously and said to her, "Make sure that you make your husband happy. After all, our enemies are in a cage."
Sabrina knew what he was driving at and smiled shyly, wondering if Devin had indeed seen through her, that she hadn’t gotten intimate with Robin ever since having the twins.
Devin stopped teasing his sister upon seeing her crimsoned look and asked Robin,
"Are you going to deal with them anytime soon?"
Robin’s expression darkened instantly. He was never one to make mistakes, so a few days was not a big deal for him.
"As soon as the DNA test result is ready. The longer they stay alive, the higher the danger around us. One of them even tried to bribe one of the agents," he revealed. Devin forced a smile and guessed,
"That must be Mara."
In a different skin so I don’t want to conclude. Three days isn’t far anyway," Robin shrugged. This time, he locked them up and kept the keys himself so if he was not present, then no one would go near the four people directly.
However, there was a way to see them through a transparent glass but nobody would be able to go in and neither would any of the four people be able to come out after they regained consciousness.
He prepared that place specifically for them. Also, there were cameras installed to allow him visibility of everything going on in there.
"Thank you for everything Robin. Martin would have never been in the picture if not for me," Devin said with remorse for trusting Martin so much but that was in the past and Robin was no longer concerned about it.
"Don’t worry about it. You were just being a good friend. See you later," Robin said and joined his hand to his wife.
Daniel looked at Robin, who was about to leave before staring at Devin once again and saying, fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
"Devin, are you sure you don’t want us here?" Daniel asked, Devin shook his head and observed their appearance once again.
"You need a hot bath and a good rest."
The four people became conscious of themselves, realizing that it wasn’t good for them to be close to the baby in their unkempt form, especially for Robin and Daniel, who had black stains in their tuxedos due to the fire from the fake Robin’s limo.
"I think I will take your advice. See you tomorrow and take good care of your family," Daniel said.
"Goodnight, all of you," Devin agreed.
Robin got two drivers to drive them home separately, since they were both tired. Reaching the villa, Robin was surprised to see an unfamiliar car pull over.
"Are you expecting someone?" Sabrina asked.
