The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife-Chapter 453 - A Good Name is Better Than Riches
Chapter 453: Chapter 453 - A Good Name is Better Than Riches
"What is going on? Where are we?" Hazel asked, tears in her eyes. She had expected to wake up in the comfort of her own bed, not in a strange place with no chairs.
The cubicle was so small that they wouldn’t be able to sleep without lying on each other like they did when they woke up.
"Could it be Robin? I remember that agent hitting me, and then I couldn’t remember anything anymore," the fake Robin said, pained to be defeated by Robin once again.
"He hit me too," Hazel recounted, still feeling pain on her face from the impact.
"Same here," Estelle added, not understanding why she was also in the glass cubicle or cage.
"I don’t know how I got here. I was in a small room and fell asleep," Brea complained, fear in her eyes as she couldn’t remember exactly when she was injected with a sedative and transported to this place.
If Robin was the one behind it, then Hazel had only one person to blame. "It’s your fault, Martin," Hazel accused furiously.
The fake Robin was upset that she called him by his real name instead of their forged names, but this was not the time to argue about that.
"Stop accusing me. I did nothing wrong."
Hazel was greatly upset. If the fake Robin had listened to her and waited for a few months before striking, none of this would have happened.
"You are the one who insisted on us attending that wedding. It was a trap and we fell for it," she said, not mincing her words due to the fury in her heart.
The fake Robin, knowing she was right, decided to change the line of discussion.
"Let’s focus on getting ourselves out of here."
They both began to look keenly at the glass cubicle for any exits, as they heard footsteps and saw an old man walking towards them.
"There is a man coming. I remember him. He was taking care of the villa Robin was building for me. Does it mean?" Brea paused and asked.
Memories of those days when she was in Robin’s good books flooded in. He had brought her over here once when Sabrina refused to give up the villa she lived in with Robin.
"You should know by now that this is Robin’s doing," Hazel said in annoyance, as everyone around her was just pissing her off.
"Hey sir, can you get us out of here? We shall reward you," she smiled and said.
The old security man had not seen the faces of the people in the glass cubicle when they were brought in, so seeing a man who looked like Robin, he was very confused.
"I’m just a security man. I don’t have access to anything," he said honestly, wondering how Robin was inside the cubicle.
"You can break this glass with a stone and your whole family become rich," Hazel said. The security man was even more perplexed and before he could ask the man who looked like Robin how he got inside the glass cubicle, he heard somebody coughing behind him and he quickly walked away.
He was one of the agents. "You want to break the glass with a stone? You should know by now that Mr. Jewel would not just put you inside a glass. That is bulletproof and stone cannot penetrate it."
The revelation arose fear in the people caged inside the glass cubicle, but Hazel tried her trick again.
After all, everybody likes money, right? "Then please help us, kind sir, we shall give you anything you want."
The agent frowned and asked them, "What makes you think that I need anything? You are jokers."
"I can give you a billion dollars," Hazel proposed. The agent scoffed, feeling insulted.
"Even if you give me trillions, I would still want to see you dead. All of you. You caused us so much trouble and most of my colleagues are at the hospital because of you," he glared at the fake Robin and said.
It was as if he wanted to remove the latter’s head from his body. "We shall compensate all of them," Hazel tried to convince him, but the man wanted revenge, for his colleagues and not money.
"There is something you don’t know. My mama always told me that a good name is better than riches."
When they saw no way around the agent, the imposter Robin revealed a plan and asked,
"Okay. Can you help us to use the restroom?" If they could get out to use the restroom, then they could find a way to escape.
Confusion clouded the face of the agent at the question as he said honestly, "I don’t know how this thing works. Let me call Mr. Jewel."
It was too late for either of them to stop him as he had already dialed Robin’s number. The latter answered the call on the first ring as the agent asked politely,
"Mr. Jewel, the four people are awake and they want to use the restroom."
"We are also hungry," Brea added. She hadn’t had anything since she left the underground bunker yesterday and was starving.
"They said they are also hungry," the agent added.
"I am not responsible for them so they could die from hunger for all I care," the agent heard Robin saying, as he added, "As for using the restroom, just press the blue button below."
The agent followed the instruction. Instantly, the floor where the three people stood dipped and a toilet shot up. He smiled at the level of technology the simple glass cubicle was endowed with.
"Thank you, Mr. Jewel."
"When the person is done, press the same button," Robin instructed before ending the call.
Due to what happened before, he couldn’t trust anybody with these four people. As such, everything was only accessible to him.
"Yes sir," the agent said and ended the call. He loved the shocked expression on the faces of the four people and instructed,
"Now you can use the restroom."
