The Reborn Aristocrat's Daughter-Chapter 84 Night Patrol (4)_1
Chapter 84: Chapter 84 Night Patrol (4)_1
"Ah Xiang, what on earth happened? Why did you slam on the brakes like that? You know very well how fast you drive," Xia Yujie scolded Liu Yuxiang before turning to Situ Xin. "Miss, are you alright?"
"Sorry, it wasn’t on purpose. I heard Master telling me to go pick her up from kindergarten, and I was so surprised that I hit the brakes," Liu Yuxiang apologized.
"It’s alright, let’s go." Situ Xin didn’t blame Liu Yuxiang. Once the car started moving smoothly again, she continued talking, "Here are two Marrow Cleansing Pills, one for each of you. They will be very beneficial for your future training."
Taking the small porcelain bottle handed over by Situ Xin, Xia Yujie carefully placed it in his pocket, "Thank you, Miss." He was truly grateful to Situ Xin.
"By the way, after you take the Marrow Cleansing Pill, there will be reactions, like severe diarrhea. It might be a bit painful, so just bear with it," Situ Xin explained the side effects of the pills.
"Master, where do you live?" After they entered the city, Liu Yuxiang asked.
"Just drop me off where you picked me up, I’ll get home on my own," Situ Xin said. She couldn’t let them drive her all the way home. There were guards standing watch there all night.
After getting off the car, Situ Xin didn’t avoid Xia Yujie and Liu Yuxiang. She tapped into her inner strength and used her qinggong, disappearing from their sight.
"Wow, my master is truly incredible," Liu Yuxiang gazed at the spot where Situ Xin disappeared, exclaiming, "I believe there will come a day when I, Liu Yuxiang, will also possess such amazing abilities."
"You will," Xia Yujie said softly, touching the bottle of elixir in his pocket.
Before entering the military compound, Situ Xin released her Divine Sense, covering all the surveillance, then boldly climbed through her window into her room.
Seeing that she hadn’t alarmed anyone, Situ Xin sighed with relief. She took off her hat, changed out of her clothes, and lay back down on her little bed.
Before closing her eyes, she thought to herself with delight, "Hehe, at this rate, I should soon possess my own strength."
After Situ Xin returned home, she went straight to sleep. Xia Yujie and Liu Yuxiang, upon returning home, could barely wait before Liu Yuxiang urged, "Ah Jie, take out the elixir our master gave us." He was eager to know the effects of the pills.
After Xia Yujie took them out, he reminded Liu Yuxiang, "Miss said that the elixir will cause a reaction and that it will be somewhat painful." He reminded him again of Situ Xin’s warning which Liu Yuxiang seemed to have forgotten.
"Ah, I know." Saying that, he took the small porcelain bottle from Xia Yujie’s hand and poured out the two Marrow Cleansing Pills. Then, he passed one to Xia Yujie, "Here, yours." Having said that, he swallowed the other pill.
Without hesitation, Xia Yujie took his pill and swallowed it. In no time, they both felt a painful sensation in their bellies. "My God, it really is the same reaction as Master said. But isn’t this a bit too quick?" After saying that, he rushed to the bathroom.
As for Xia Yujie, he didn’t say a word and ran upstairs. They were both in torment until morning when they finally calmed down; after taking a shower, they went straight to bed. Just before falling asleep, Liu Yuxiang muttered, "That elixir’s reaction is really strong, almost killed me."
Early the next morning, like always, Situ Xin was pulled out of bed by her mother, Loo Yaxin. Due to the commotion the previous night, Situ Xin could barely open her eyes, and Loo Yaxin had grown accustomed to dressing her swiftly. Situ Xin was still half asleep when she sat in the car headed for school.
After arriving at school, Situ Xin lay on her desk, limp as a noodle. Thankfully, since it’s the junior class in kindergarten where the teacher doesn’t really teach much but rather just plays games with the kids to keep them from crying, Situ Xin managed to sleep throughout the entire morning. This gave Dai Yunyun and Chen Bo—who were seated next to her—a huge sigh of relief.
Perhaps it was because of how Situ Xin had scared them before, but up to this day, the ones they feared the most were none other than Situ Xin. Even facing the teachers, they had never been this nervous.
Xia Yujie and Liu Yuxiang slept until noon, and if not for setting an alarm the night before—knowing they had things to do in the afternoon—they would have surely overslept. They thought they would feel drained when they woke up, but quite the contrary; they felt incredibly light and as though they had limitless energy.
"Ah Jie, our master really is something else. Such a small pill, so extraordinary," Liu Yuxiang said as he stepped out of his bedroom and saw Xia Yujie coming out of his room as well.
"The Miss is quite unusual. Alright, let’s hurry up and have lunch, you’ve got to pick up the Miss this afternoon," Xia Yujie reminded him.
"Oh right, I’d forgotten about that. And later, I have to make a reservation at the shooting club," said Xia Yujie. With Zhu Bin and Dai Licheng scouring the Capital City for Xia Yujie these days, he couldn’t afford to show his face publicly. As long as Xia Yujie was out there, they couldn’t sleep easy at night.
Situ Xin woke up from her sleep only when Situ Jin, Xiao Muli, and Yu Qihao came to find her in the afternoon.
"Xiao Xin, sleeping like this can easily make you sick. Next time you want to sleep, just take a day off and sleep at home," Situ Jin advised her during lunch. If any of the school teachers heard what Situ Jin said, they would be furious—it’s absurd to encourage his sister like that.
"Yeah, if it doesn’t work out, we could buy a small bed to bring to school, and put it at the back of your classroom," Xiao Muli, who normally didn’t talk much, chimed in.
"Hmm, and if we bring a small bed, remember to bring a blanket too," Situ Xin said, looking at the three of them, quite speechless. One after another, they really spoiled her.
After lunch, Situ Xin went back to class alone, thinking about the afternoon’s events. Suddenly, she realized something serious—she had told Liu Yuxiang to come to the school to pick her up but hadn’t told him which class she was in or what her name was.
