The Seventh Base-Chapter 588 - 35 Accumulating Power - 2
"What?" Xu Mo looked at Zero.
"The communicator," Zero said.
"What’s so interesting about a communicator?" Xu Mo asked.
"A friend said that any man who won’t show his communicator has problems," Zero said.
"Your classmate is leading you astray. You shouldn’t keep company with such people; cut ties with him," Xu Mo said.
After hearing Xu Mo’s words, Zero became even more suspicious as Xu Mo’s communicator had been buzzing incessantly just moments ago.
However, Xu Mo played dead, determined not to hand it over.
The she-devil was becoming increasingly unruly.
Students at Lucas University gradually began leaving the campus.
The term evaluations for the Extraordinary Department had also concluded. Most other departments had theoretical exams, but the Extraordinary Department assessed practical combat skills, gauging how much progress students had made since their admissions.
At this moment in the Extraordinary Department, Elizabeth and Ize were together, when a long-haired handsome young man appeared before them.
"Lynn."
Many students around, especially the girls, turned to look his way, their eyes shining as they saw the young man.
Lynn, a third-year student from the Lucas Extraordinary Department and a professional Mechanical Master, possessed exceptional insight and reaction speed. He was extraordinarily talented, and in the recent end-of-term assessment, Lynn had demonstrated terrifying capabilities.
The teachers at Lucas University had said that Lynn’s abilities were no less than those of graduates. Even if he graduated now, he would be considered among the elite of the graduates, and he still had one more year of studies to go.
"Elizabeth," Lynn called out, and immediately, both Ize and Carter looked his way with a hint of wariness. Elizabeth highly regarded Lynn’s formidable talent and was keen on recruiting him, but they knew very well that Lynn was not interested in becoming a subordinate to Elizabeth; he had a lofty spirit.
Every outstanding genius has a high spirit.
"Got any plans for the holiday?" Lynn asked.
"Haven’t decided yet. What about you?" Elizabeth inquired.
"I plan to go to the Mechanical God Arena," Lynn replied.
"You have the prowess," Elizabeth said. "Good luck."
"You can come and watch if you’re free," Lynn suggested.
"Sure," Elizabeth nodded, and then they parted ways.
There was much discussion among the onlookers. Was Lynn really heading to the ’Mechanical God’? That place was a gathering spot for some of the top mechanical ’players’ from Lucas Star.
Afterwards, Elizabeth turned to Ize and Carter and asked, "The company’s first batch of weapons is almost ready for production, right?"
Now publicly known as a shareholder of Blue Star Energy Technology Group, Elizabeth was somewhat excited about the company’s progress. Ross was working hard, marching steadily along the planned path.
"Yes," Ize nodded. "Ross said the technology has been mastered; it should be ready soon."
Elizabeth nodded, looking forward to it.
Outside Lucas University, many flying devices were lined up, and one by one, they rose into the sky as many students said their goodbyes.
Standing outside the campus, Xu Mo was contemplative. As a top-tier academic institution, the majority of students at Lucas University came from very prosperous families; the cost of nurturing a person was substantial, too much for ordinary families to bear.
"Goodbye, Xu swindler."
Nearby, several girls waved goodbye to Xu Mo, while Zero kept staring at him, making Xu Mo too nervous to speak.
The two of them also boarded a flying device, surprising many who knew him. Xu Mo also had a flying device waiting?
Just how much was this swindler hiding?
Many even started to doubt his persona. Was he really just a diligent, studious servant to Anos?
Lucas Star had many different types of flying devices, and the one Xu Mo boarded was relatively simple. It was a basic sci-fi version of a flying car, albeit with a sleek, streamlined arc design that offered very little air resistance. Moreover, this type of flying device had much lower development costs than those on Byron Star, thanks to powerful technology that could drastically cut costs.
"Sister Butterfly," Xu Mo called out as he boarded the flying device, and it was Ye Qingdie who came to pick them up.
"Let’s go," Ye Qingdie said as the flying device took to the air, then she continued, "Zero, are you also going to the company?"
"Yes," Zero nodded lightly.
"Has Xu Mo been bullying you at school?" Zero asked with a smile.
Zero’s eyes moved and fell on Xu Mo.
"Me, bully her?" Xu Mo said, "Sister Butterfly, you might be a bit mistaken about Zero."
"She cheated many girls," Zero said.
Xu Mo: "..."
Ye Qingdie turned and smiled at Xu Mo.
"Sister Butterfly, how is the company doing now?" Xu Mo shifted the topic.
"We’re in the sprint phase; the weapon will be ready soon," Ye Qingdie said.
"Are we finally going to make money?" Xu Mo asked.
"Make money?" Ye Qingdie said, "Do you know how much debt we’re in right now? Even if we develop it, promotion will be difficult. After all, as a new company, we have no credentials in weapon development. It’s not easy to break into the market."
Xu Mo nodded, realizing there was still a hurdle to overcome. The company’s products were high-quality, but they might still be overlooked and difficult to promote. Relying purely on reputation was not an easy task.
Upon arriving at the company, Xu Mo went straight to the production base, where many people were busy. Blue Star Energy Technology Group had hired a lot of staff, and in six months, they had grown from a small team of a few people to a complete group.
"Xu Mo, you’re here." Old Stark was busy. He was mainly responsible for operations here, while Ross handled the operational aspects, with a clear division of duties.
"Mr. Stark," Xu Mo called out.
"Just in time, a few samples have come out. Let Ge Qing show you around," Old Stark said as a woman with glasses came over, the daughter of the head of the Divine Sword Bureau, Ge Qing.
"Sister Qing," seeing Ge Qing reminded Xu Mo of the experience of being pricked by needles at the Divine Sword Bureau.
"Come with me," Ge Qing said to Xu Mo, and he followed along with Ye Qingdie and a few others to a laboratory stocked with various weapons.
"This is a sample War Saber," Ge Qing pointed at a War Saber, and as Xu Mo grasped it, energy flowed. Immediately, a terrifying energy light flowed through the saber like mercury, radiating a white glow.
"It’s rated for level A, but its attack strength tested stronger than all similar products on the market. You can try it," Ge Qing pointed at a piece of metal, "The hardness of the material is A+."
Xu Mo held the saber forward, and a surge of energy flowed through his arm. He then slashed out, and a powerful stream of light emerged, cutting a slit into the material, which then split apart.
"You can try the mechanical gun as well," Ge Qing pointed at a gun beside her, and Xu Mo picked up the mechanical gun and fired at the material, immediately shooting out high-energy particle beams that left several dents in it.
"This is a sample?" Xu Mo asked.
"Yes," Ge Qing nodded, "Developed from the Deep Sea Battleship, it controls fusion energy and applies it to weapons for impressive effects. This is just the basic version; S-level is also under development. These products will be installed on mechanical bodies, mechas, and armor, then introduced to the market. Once the market opens up and the company starts profiting, we can begin manufacturing more powerful superpower weapons, although the cost will be much higher."
Xu Mo was somewhat tempted. Previously, the Divine Sword Bureau had used superpower weapons to contend with the Alien Race, and that was only a fraction of the capabilities. If they were to mass-produce superpower weapons, what would the situation be like?
As long as they were able to mass-produce superpower weapons, they could create a corps of superpower weapons, powerful enough to sweep through Byron Star.
On Byron Star, they had an existing army. Although the Source Power Level wasn’t very high, the weapon advantage could compensate for the gap in Source Power Level. At the very least, dealing with the pseudo-government of Byron Star wouldn’t be a problem.
Once superpower weapons were mass-produced, the pseudo-government of Byron Star wouldn’t stand a chance. The only threat would be the fleets from Alien races.
"Sister Butterfly, where’s Ross?" Xu Mo then asked, surprised that the Tard people had not come to meet him.
"Ross is busy preparing the company’s weapon market launch plan. He’s been quite busy recently," Ye Qingdie explained.
Xu Mo nodded, understanding the situation, thus he forgave the Tard people.
Blue Star Energy Technology Group, about to fire its first shot!
