The Seventh Base-Chapter 633 - 56 For You_2
"Although the scale is not small now, the controllers of those planets will not interfere and will let you develop freely. But once it reaches a certain scale, I’m afraid relying on a Princess alone won’t be enough," Zero’s mother reminded.
She obviously knew that Elizabeth was Xu Mo’s backup, and although there might not be an issue now, once it reached a certain scale...
"Understood."
Xu Mo was aware of what Zero’s mother was referring to, and had considered this as well, which meant that Elizabeth would have to work harder on her side.
And now, it was not possible to stop moving forward, they would have to take it one step at a time and plan for this aspect in the future.
"Auntie, once I’ve grown bigger, I’ll give half of the shares to Auntie and Zero so that Auntie can enjoy a good life," Xu Mo said ’sincerely’.
"It’s the thought that counts," Zero’s mother said, looking at Xu Mo.
The group chatted casually, which was a lot more relaxed than the first meeting, as Xu Mo had fully assumed her role, easily delivering sweet nothings and making the atmosphere quite congenial.
"Tomorrow is Lune Festival, so stay here tonight," Zero’s mother seemed to be in a good mood and spontaneously invited Xu Mo to stay, unlike the previous treatment at the castle on Byron Star.
"Ah..." Xu Mo looked at Zero, blinking, wondering if it was happening so fast.
"I’ll have Wumo prepare a room for you later," Zero’s mother continued, and Xu Mo then realized she had been overthinking.
After dinner, Xu Mo and Zero left.
Zero’s mother and Qiong Instructor were still there.
"This kid is getting bolder," Zero’s mother commented.
Mom?
Her expression was somewhat strange.
"Smooth talker, he’s no good thing," Qiong Instructor murmured.
"Indeed, I’m getting older and almost can’t swallow the pie in the sky he draws," Zero’s mother agreed.
Qiong Instructor didn’t say much more; Xu Mo was now drawing pies in the sky for everyone he met—her, Zero, and Zero’s mother—not one had escaped.
"However, having more people does make it livelier," Zero’s mother added, "Qiong Instructor, do you think we should find an opportunity to teach him...?"
Qiong Instructor’s pupils contracted as she looked at Zero’s mother, her heart stirred.
It seems she has also fallen for the pie in the sky he draws!
"Let’s wait a bit longer, keep observing," Zero’s mother shook her head again, seemingly not fully decided.
"Yes," Qiong Instructor nodded in agreement, feeling there was still some doubt.
It was one thing for Zero to be deceived, but they couldn’t allow the whole family to be duped and eventually drained of their assets.
That kid had a mouth born for deception; no wonder Zero fell for it.
......
At the Royal Banquet.
Prince Charles felt a chill run through his body upon receiving the message. The orders he had given to the Royal Knights in private had now backfired.
"Prince Charles." At that moment, a figure approached Prince Charles and called out to him; the two stepped aside.
This man was the Captain of the Royal Knights, who could only receive direct orders from the King.
"Prince Charlie, I have received news that Morris had an accident," the Captain of the Royal Knights spoke softly, deliberately lowering his voice so nobody else could hear.
"Captain, I apologize for this matter. I was simply curious about the true identity of the man who defeated our Knight Order’s young warrior Sterling," Prince Charles said nervously.
The Captain of the Knight Order glanced at him and continued, "Your Highness, they were killed while performing another mission, unrelated to Blue Star Energy Technology Group. It’s an internal matter of the Knight Order."
Prince Charles was taken aback, gazing deeply at the Captain of the Knight Order before nodding, "Thank you, Captain."
"Prince Charlie, if you have any matters in the future, just order me directly," the Captain of the Knight Order said.
"Certainly," Prince Charles nodded, a subtle indication to him not to overstep boundaries.
"Happy festival, Prince Charlie," the Knight Order’s commander toasted to Charles, their glasses clinking together before the former walked away without lingering for long. Their statuses were not fitting for extended contact.
After all, the commander of the Knight Order was directly responsible for His Majesty the King’s safety.
Everything seemed as if nothing had transpired. Prince Charles felt a chill, appreciating the direct descendant at his father’s side for their impeccable conduct.
Elsewhere, Ross whispered something to Elizabeth, causing her brows to furrow before she headed towards where King Richard was.
"Daddy."
Elizabeth called out as she approached.
"My dear daughter Elizabeth, what’s the matter?" King Richard gave a benevolent smile. He doted on this daughter of his very much, as in Richard’s eyes, Elizabeth was still a little girl.
"Daddy, after Hunter claimed the first place at the Arena, he ran into trouble outside. Many people intercepted him, and a fight even broke out. Quite a few disregarded principles and wanted to go against Blue Star Energy Technology Group," Elizabeth began.
Sterling had gone to the Mechanical God Arena, and Elizabeth suspected that members of the Royal Knights might also take part. Moreover, Ross had hinted at something, so Elizabeth reported directly to King Richard.
"This happened?" King Richard remarked, "I detest sore losers."
Richard glanced at a minister and commanded, "Send your men to take over the Arena for a thorough investigation and enforce stern punishment."
"Yes, Your Majesty," the minister nodded, then relayed the orders.
Although tomorrow was the Lune Festival and the majority of people had the day off, for law enforcement, today was, contrarily, their busiest day.
Prince Charles stood aside, his head bowed, his defeat that day being complete.
Before long, a large contingent of armed forces moved into the Mechanical God Arena. They arrested those involved in opposing Blue Star Energy Technology Group, causing a significant stir.
After tonight, probably everyone in the Mechanical God Arena would know someone was backing Blue Star Energy Technology Group.
The Mechanical God Arena descended into chaos, with many beginning to leave.
At the banquet, however, there was an exchange of toasts and conversations, the atmosphere intensifying. Outside the golden feast, fireworks bloomed, while the guests inside sipped on fine wine and dined on exquisite dishes, enjoying the fireworks display.
Elizabeth stood watching the beautiful scenery outside, the light reflecting on her face, as Ize and Carter approached, captivated by her stunning beauty.
"Do you feel that some things seem to have changed?" Elizabeth whispered.
Ize and Carter looked at her, this proud princess was growing up.
It was an inevitable transformation, one that Xu Mo’s arrival had expedited.
In that moment, the skies over the capital of Lucas Star were filled with splendid fireworks, painting a magnificent picture in the air.
At Zero’s home, Xu Mo and Zero stood on the rooftop, watching the distant fireworks bloom.
Since his arrival in this world, Xu Mo truly felt that his life had started on the right track, no longer constrained by various shackles.
Zero stood quietly beside Xu Mo. He looked at her profile, her exquisite face seeming like something out of an animation, giving an uncanny feeling of unreality.
"So beautiful," Xu Mo said softly.
Zero’s eyes shifted slightly, still gazing ahead.
Xu Mo also looked forward, time seeming to freeze in that moment.
Xu Mo’s hand moved slightly, touching Zero’s.
Zero’s expression turned peculiar, her gaze shifting to Xu Mo, "Why did you touch me?"
"Um..." Xu Mo looked at Zero and said, "Female devil, this isn’t right, you’re kind of ruining the mood here."
"Oh." Zero blinked and looked at Xu Mo with a mischievous expression. She stretched out her hand and grinned, "For you, then!"
Xu Mo was taken aback, captivated by that radiant smile. He too reached out his hand, taking hold of Zero’s.
Soft and a bit cold!
