The Tycoon's Enchanted Mermaid-Chapter 175 - : Acquaintance
Chapter 175 -175: Acquaintance
After the laughter, Ah Da suggested, “Since we’re all here already, let’s just play together. There’s no need for any hassle.”
Moreover, whenever she was alone with Qin Yu, Ah Da always felt a sense of unease, a dangerous feeling.
Hmm? Like right now, when she made her suggestion, Qin Yu looked at her with that expressionless gaze.
Ah Da blinked, opting not to look at him anymore.
Tang Bufan was a simple-minded fool who didn’t notice the complexities between them. Upon hearing Ah Da’s suggestion, he almost knelt down to her, bowing with clasped hands.
“Great kindness and great virtue, I declare that from now on, you are my savior, a gratitude greater than heaven.”
Ah Da laughed out loud, thinking to herself that she could certainly take on being revered, given she was much older than him.
Seeing the girl seemingly enjoying herself, Qin Yu sighed helplessly and led her upstairs by the hand.
Tang Bufan followed eagerly, talking about the good stuff he planned for tonight.
Listening to him, Ah Da realized it was all about snacks, and looked at him speechlessly, thinking that he came here on the river just for these trivial things, Qin Yu was right, he was just bored.
Meeting the gaze of the young lady, Tang Bufan felt as if he’d been struck by lightning, greatly shocked. It was such a misunderstanding, there were actually many fun things that just couldn’t be mentioned, because if they were, Qin Yu would banish him to Africa to chop down bread trees.
Since ancient times, men gathered mainly for fun, usually involving money and women.
Having roamed the circles of Capital City from childhood, Tang Bufan was very clear about these insider matters. Ideologies and morals were essentially decayed; some things were norms within the circle, just a matter of mutual consent between men and women.
Like the gathering he organized today, there would definitely be beauties accompanying them. Not that he claimed to be pure and noble, he admitted he couldn’t be untouched like Qin Yu.
Of course, the Tang Family’s discipline was strict. He had his own boundaries and made sure everyone measured up under his supervision.
That night, there were about ten men and women on the yacht. Before coming out to meet Qin Yu, Tang Bufan had specifically informed them ahead of time, so they should have been aware of what Qin Yu disliked.
The main salon of the yacht was cozy and spacious, complete with sofas, viewing windows, large screens, a bar, and decorated tables and chairs. Thick white carpets covered the floor, and the air was filled with the scent of wine.
When Qin Yu and Ah Da entered, the men and women sitting on the sofa immediately stood up, chorusing in unison,
“Third Young Master.”
Qin Yu slightly nodded, sweeping his eyes over them, recognizing only two familiar faces who often messed around with Tang Bufan at Jinlong Group – Jin Hao and Huang Family’s Huang Leyang.
If he remembered correctly, the off-road club mentioned earlier by Tang Bufan involved these two.
Jin Hao and Huang Leyang, under the scrutiny of Qin Yu, started sweating profusely, their minds frantically recalling if they had unintentionally offended him.
Qin Yu’s brows furrowed slightly, too many people.
Suddenly, he loosened his grip on the hand, and the young lady next to him walked forward; Qin Yu followed.
The crowd sat down slowly after seeing Qin Yu settle down, the salon falling silent, everyone staring.
Qin Yu appeared like a solemn deity, the oppressive aura radiating from him more terrifying than any family meeting, leaving no room for the playboys to entertain any flirtatious thoughts.
Not only did they sit straight, but they also appeared more alert than they ever did in meetings or classes.
Although they were all very curious about the pretty young lady beside Qin Yu, no one dared to ask.
Until Tang Bufan walked in with a few bottles of wine, breaking the deadlock. He addressed Qin Yu:
“The beautiful scenery matches well with fine wine, how about a drink?”
“Sure,” Qin Yu responded.
Tang Bufan placed the bottles in an ice bucket; Huang Leyang immediately stood up to help, getting glasses and ice ready. Leisurely music started playing, restoring some lively atmosphere.
Huang Leyang exclaimed exaggeratedly.
“Mr. Tang, this wine is excellent!”
“Rubbish, how could my stuff not be great?”
Tang Bufan gave him a dismissive glance, then turned and walked over to pick up a game console. Huang Leyang leaned in close to Tang Bufan and whispered, “Shall we play a few rounds of video games later?”
“What do you think?” Tang Bufan squinted at him, aware of the mischief the kid was harboring.
Huang Leyang grinned sheepishly, “I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking you.”
Tang Bufan elbowed him in the stomach. “Just act normal, don’t start any trouble. Didn’t you see the Third Young Master coming over with people? Do you have a death wish?”
“Not at all, not at all.” Huang Leyang covered his stomach and sneaked a glance at Qin Yu behind him, slightly regretful. Today’s yacht party was supposed to feature several top models for a stripping show on the river, but that would have to wait until next time.
“Is that… the one rumored lately beside the Third Young Master?” Huang Leyang asked curiously.
Tang Bufan replied, “Rubbish, she’s a huge deal. Just be on your best behavior tonight. The entertainment company CEOs you brought along, keep their mouths and hands in check, don’t act like their brains are in their lower body.”
Huang Leyang chuckled awkwardly, “Alright then, focus on business tonight. Just not sure if the Third Young Master is interested…”
“Try and see. Tonight is a rare opportunity, don’t say I didn’t give you a heads up.” Tang Bufan lightly punched his shoulder.
Huang Leyang thought it made sense and immediately brightened up, calling out ‘Brother Tang’ with a sly grin.
The conversation between Tang Bufan and Qin Yu completely relaxed the atmosphere in the main hall, especially after Qin Yu sat on the couch and casually said everyone should feel at ease, eventually leading everyone to loosen up.
They chatted, laughed, and clinked glasses.
People like Jin Hao came over to offer Qin Yu a drink, given that besides Qin Yu and Tang Bufan, he held the highest status there.
“Third Young Master, a toast to you.”
Qin Yu picked up his glass and touched it lightly against Jin Hao’s, but didn’t drink, only saying, “I heard Mr. Jin’s business has been skyrocketing lately, congratulations.”
Jin Hao held his glass with both hands, modestly smiling, “Just a small business really, luckily making some money thanks to the market.”
“It’s all thanks to the Third Young Master…”
Qin Yu looked disinterested, mostly listening as Jin Hao spoke, occasionally Huang Leyang and Tang Bufan would chime in, while others kept a watchful eye, waiting for opportunities.
Ah Da couldn’t understand them and leisurely sipped her juice, lost in thought and remaining silent.
“What’s wrong?”
Ah Da turned around, “Huh?”
Qin Yu looked down at her, his eyes probing, noting she had been distracted since they entered the main hall.

“Bored?”
Ah Da shook her head, “Not really.”
Qin Yu rested his hand on her shoulder, his knuckles gently hooking her hair strands, his tone clearly skeptical, “Really?”
Seeing this, Tang Bufan, Jin Hao, and the others tactfully quieted down and turned away to talk about other things.
Ah Da put down her juice, leaned toward Qin Yu’s ear, and whispered, “I saw someone I recognize.”
Hearing this, Qin Yu knew his guess was right, but his expression remained unchanged, “Who do you recognize?”
Ah Da lowered her eyes, “Well, not exactly recognize. Just saw once, at the museum.”
“She has a cute daughter…”
As Ah Da spoke, her eyes revealed a peculiar look, hesitating.
Following her gaze, Qin Yu saw a chubby man in a gray suit embracing a woman in a red dress, chatting with people around him with a flattering smile on his face.
